So im brand new to PC. Ive had mine for about 4 months now. And I still SUCK at shooters. So I wanted to find something I could play against bots so I wouldnt hate myself. 🤣

So i found this game. I tried Red River and it was just too much for me. This is much more chill.

I just started 2 days ago and ive had some very nice interactions with some friendly people along the way.

But today was crazy.

I had just finished a raid and hopped off the chopper. I found a 870 and a 1911 while I was out so I was gonna put those away.

Then, I am suddenly surrounded by 4 Chinese dudes. 🤣

(At least im 99% sure thats what they were speaking)

So i say hello, one says hello back, and they just start dropping me stuff......

So they gave me...

A fully kitted Dragonov

A fully kitted AK74M

6 grenades

A M2 plate carrier

A Delta bag

A Firearms repair kit

And a "AGR" kit

WHAT THE FUCK

And then they just hopped in a chopper and left...

Ive been here for 2 days and I already love this community.

Im gonna have to wait to pile up some ammo and mags before I try my new rifles but I cant wait.

I hope this the level of friendliness i can expect to see in the future here.

As someone with AUDHD that struggles with depression and has no friends to play with as i have trouble keeping them. This was a very good day.

P14 aquired. Its in great shape other than what I believe is a Crack repair on the left side. But I dont care. I buy guns to shoot them.

The one thing its missing is the hand for the volley sight. Maybe ill be able to find one at some point.

Found this at my local Cabellas today. They just put it out on the rack today.

It has a Detroit Board of Commerce marking as well. Which is extremely cool. As it shows that this rifle at one point was used to guard factories or government buildings in Detroit Michigan during WWI.

More Gunbroker oddities have been found.

This apears to be some form of Czechoslovakian Mauser, but in .45.

I cannot find any sort of information on it when I tried searching online.

Its really cool tho. Maybe have to try to win it.

All numbers matching, but it has been sported. Honestly not a bad sporting tho. The rear sight is actually very nice considering how dogshit my eyes are.

Would it be worth it or just stay away?

Im looking to pick up at least one new surplus bolt action before the end of the year.

Are their any deals to be had or things to look out for? I feel like im kinda missing something. All im seeing is the usual overpriced Turkish Mausers.

For context I currently own a VZ.24 and Argentine Mauser. Wanna get something different that want cost me an arm and leg for ammo.

Someone said they were gonna pick it up last week and didnt.

Im actually quite surprised that it hasnt been completely butchered.

Time to hold onto it for a year or so till the knowledge to build them is aquired. Then ill have it shipped out somewhere to be built. Should be cool.

So. I was perusing my local Cabellas, as one does.

And i discovered this Mauser for a reasonable price. Which had me suspicious. However. When I went to check it. It has no country of manufacture, no caliber markings. Just serial numbers and a crest thats barely visible.

Anyone else happen to be able to make out the crest on the receiver? I can see its there but my eyes sucks so idk what it is.

My Astra 600/43. In pristine condition.

I picked up this pristine condition 600/43 today.

Paid 1k for it. Considering its condition i felt that was reasonable.

Serial number is 44157.

Apears to be 1945 dated.

It was one of the very few of these that were commercially sold apperantly. Which is very cool.

I will post an up date once I take it to the range.

It will then go in a velvet display case along with my 44' marked FN 1922.

Just picked up this imaculate Astra 600/43.

Serial is 44157.

Its kinda confusing figuring out when it was made and for who. So ill have to do more research after work.

For how perfect it is, I couldn't pass it up as a early birthday present for myself.

Picked up this Argentine Mauser today. Its in great shape and appears to be all matching. Stock has probably been refinished but thats ok. Rear sight isn't original either but tis very nice.

It appears to be a Canadian marked MK1 Browning. Everything matches. Worth or nah?
