Im actually quite surprised that it hasnt been completely butchered.

Time to hold onto it for a year or so till the knowledge to build them is aquired. Then ill have it shipped out somewhere to be built. Should be cool.

So. I was perusing my local Cabellas, as one does.

And i discovered this Mauser for a reasonable price. Which had me suspicious. However. When I went to check it. It has no country of manufacture, no caliber markings. Just serial numbers and a crest thats barely visible.

Anyone else happen to be able to make out the crest on the receiver? I can see its there but my eyes sucks so idk what it is.

My Astra 600/43. In pristine condition.

I picked up this pristine condition 600/43 today.

Paid 1k for it. Considering its condition i felt that was reasonable.

Serial number is 44157.

Apears to be 1945 dated.

It was one of the very few of these that were commercially sold apperantly. Which is very cool.

I will post an up date once I take it to the range.

It will then go in a velvet display case along with my 44' marked FN 1922.

Just picked up this imaculate Astra 600/43.

Serial is 44157.

Its kinda confusing figuring out when it was made and for who. So ill have to do more research after work.

For how perfect it is, I couldn't pass it up as a early birthday present for myself.

Picked up this Argentine Mauser today. Its in great shape and appears to be all matching. Stock has probably been refinished but thats ok. Rear sight isn't original either but tis very nice.

It appears to be a Canadian marked MK1 Browning. Everything matches. Worth or nah?

All numbers matching at a decent price.

So this is my first assembly shop tank.

And i love it.

It has no armor. But its such a compliment to my playstyle from 10 years on console.

It feels alot like a Amx30b or Murat on console. But if you gave them a burst mechanic.

This noob approves.

What do you guys think of it?

I dont know what it is about it. But im loving the Saladin!

Unfortunately in this game I got careless and should have rotated back to base with the Bor and I could have stayed alive. But I got greedy and it cost me.

That aside.

Great mobility, minus hull rotation.

Excellent gun, good fire rate. Good pen. Decent damage. Awesome accuracy.

Reminds me alot of playing console. Makes things alot easier for me to relearn how to play again

Ive actually been having alot of issues with the teir 7 and 10 in this line. But the 6, 8, and 9 have been very nice.

Is that the general consensus on them or is it just me?

So. This game man......

I switched to console 10 years ago. And I have now returned. And man, things are different.

1: Every single gun on every single tanks feels like a shotgun. If you hit your target, your lucky. On console, 9 times out of 10, if your aiming for something your gonna hit it.

2: Spotting mechanics feel random. In relation to bushes and shrubs and stuff. Like I could go to the same spot twice and be spotted one time and not the next even though no one on the enemy team has moved at all.

In console i always knew exactly what was going on in relation to spotting. On pc there's a delay between when your actually spotted and when the warning pops up.

On console the second your spotted, the game tells you.

3: Most of these maps on pc feel awful to play as someone who enjoys light tanks. Flanking routes and sufficient cover just isnt there.

4: I feel like a baby. Like legit. I just run around like a chicken with my head cut off because none of the strategies from console work on here.

Idk. Not saying its bad, its just harder. MUCH harder.

1 and 2 are my main gripes though. Adds a level of bullshit to the game that I dont think should be there.

(For my blood pressure's sake.)

Any other console players have similar thoughts after switching?

I used to play back when the KV1/2 was just the KV.

Then I switched to console for 10 years. Now im back again. And I suck. ALOT.

So id really like to have some people to play with. At least i wont be suffering alone. Lmao.

Im on NA central.

Normally im on from 8am-11am ish and 11:30pm-1:30am on weekdays.

And most of the day Saturday and sunday unless I have things going on.

On the bottom of the grip there is a serial number and date.

Along with a star at the very bottom. Date appears to be 1874.

This and the MARS were my favorite pistols in Battlefield 1.

Found at my local Cabellas today. As someone whos very interested in French firearms, ive never seen one of these. And its TINY. Like Jungle carbine size.

Does anyone have experience with buying from them?

So this is apparently an H&K of some sort? Idk. Looks goofy AF. And the trigger is like 18lbs. 🤣
