Wir haben einen Laser Gravierer in unserer Firma. Ich muss für diesen Gravierer ein Gerät aufsetzen. Es soll nichts können und am besten zuverlässig laufe. OS muss Windows sein, sonst funktioniert die Automatisierung nicht. Windows ist ja manchmal suboptimal. Features braucht das Ding nicht, einfach langen Hardwaresupport und stabil muss es sein. Ich dachte vielleicht wäre Windows 11 LTSC optimal, da das keine neuen Features bekommt und vom Namen her recht stabil sein müsste. Hat jemand Erfahrung damit?

I was just wondering about that. Why do notebooks with 16 GB of RAM always have single-channel RAM instead of two 8 GB modules? 16 GB is incredibly common for office applications, and wouldn't single-channel be more efficient? I'm an IT beginner, don't judge me :)

I upgradeed RAM on my HP Notebook. I unpluged the battery before seating in the second RAM module. After that i started the device, and it shows me a BIOS reset screen and now i must manually set new time and date. Is that normal?

For years, my company bought cheap HP Envy laptops. While they looked good on paper, with an i7 processor and 32 GB of RAM, they had dedicated graphics cards that guzzle power, poor warranty coverage, and were difficult to open and repair. I then initiated a shift and now procure a ProBook/EliteBook with an i5 processor and 16 GB of RAM, as is standard for the average user. On paper, this is a downgrade. Do you think this strategy makes sense, or what kind of laptops do you buy?

Is it normal by some apps that registry keys are missing when inszalling the app silent? (/S)

Or does this mean the installer is faulty?

I want to set Missive as my default Mailclient (MAILTO links). But i cant select it in default app settings, its not showing up. This problem is not on my device, but on every other device in the company. I installed Missive manually on my device, on the other with intune.

I have a macOS device that was enrolled over company portal. Everything was working fine over threes months. Then intune says, the device does not become any script and app that i deployed last two weeks. Then I saw in the activity monitor that the IntuneMdmAgent wasn't running. The agent and daemon aren't listed in the login items either. But the device is showed in the device list and intune shows the last check-in time correctly two. How can that be possible? Reboot doenst help. Any ideas how i can troubleshoot that withour factory reset?

Ich wollte mal nachfragen: an die Leute die mit Google Workspace arbeiten, wie managet ihr Berechtigungen auf eure Daten?

Mir ist bewusst, dass man mit Gruppen arbeiten sollte und nicht einzelnen Benutzer eine Berechtigung auf eine Datei geben sollte. Das funktioniert auf eine geteilten Ablage auch sehr gut: Heisst für jede Abteilung eine Ablage und eine entsprechende Abteilungsgruppe. Öfters kommt es jedoch vor, das ein User Zugriff auf ekne Datei in einer Ablage braucht, zu dessen Abteilung er nicht gehört. Man möchte nun diese Person jedoch nicht zu einer Abteilungsgruppe hinzufügen, das die A) nicht in dieser Abteilung arbeitet und B) Zugriff auf die komplette Ablage hätte, was auch nicht sein sollte. Wie verwaltet ihr das mit den Dateiberechtigungen bzw. welches Konzept verfolgt ihr?

The maximum area it needs to be able to laser is 220x220mm. It must be Lightburn-compatible (with a camera), because other manufacturers' software does not have a UDP interface. It must be a Class 1 laser.

Actually, a laser like the Xtool F1 Ultra would be ideal, but its compatibility with Lightburn is poor.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Ihr könnt eigentlich alles aus dem Titel entnehmen. Ich finde den Muttertag sinnlos, aber nicht weil ich meine Mutter nicht mag, sondern weil ich es sinnlos finde auf krampf an einem bestimmten Datum zu gratulieren, weil sich das irgendjemand ausgedacht hat. Jeder Tag ist Muttertag, dafür gibt es bei mir kein Datum. Meiner Mutter scheint dieser Tag wichtig zu sein als ich dachte, dessen war ich mich nicht bewusst, deswegen wurde ich entsprechend dafür kritisiert. Was ist eure Meinung dazu?

This situation is extremely frustrating for me. I'm in my mid-twenties now, and I've never really had many friends. Currently, I have three, but I only see one of them regularly. I would describe this one friend as a very close friend. This friend has a really intimate, almost dependent relationship with his family and siblings. I spend a lot of time with him; we meet up about once a week. Sometimes we go cycling or play ice hockey together with his siblings and one of his friends. So, you'd assume that if I'm there, I'm part of the group. This year, this friend went on vacation with his siblings and the friend who goes cycling and ice hockey with them. When he told me about it, I asked him if he could imagine going with me sometime. He refused. Days later, I brought it up with him again, telling him that it hurt me and that I felt excluded. He didn't have any real arguments; he just said that I sometimes tell him when I'm feeling down, and that I talk about things differently on vacation than I do in everyday life. One might almost think our meetings consist solely of me telling him about my problems, but that's simply not true. Knowing that they're going on vacation together now and that I'm not welcome is incredibly upsetting. Especially since I know his siblings and the rest of his family well, as I'm regularly at their home.

We have a device in the company that isn't receiving some scripts. The device is Entra Joined, and I can see it in the device list. However, this device doesn't appear in the status list for some scripts, where I can see which user/device received the script, even though these scripts are assigned to "All Devices". No error codes, nothing.. still not running. We have 11 devies and the status page shows only the status for 10 devices on some scripts. What's causing this?

Up until now, I've used PowerShell for scripting and software packaging. I've now built a small tool to automate a process. I'd like to make it a bit more user-friendly using Spectre Console. My question is: I'm creating this locally on my device where Spectre Console is installed. If I then convert it to an EXE, how can I ensure it works on a different device? Because Spectre Console was never installed via PowerShell.
