I've met with 3 contractors to get estimates for re-grouting 270 s.f. of floor tile and 1 shower enclosure. The contractor I met with today said he only uses epoxy grout, instead of silicone caulking, at all wall-to-wall and wall-to-floor intersections because it withstands water and mold issues better. I've been around a while, and I've never heard of such a thing. Does he know what's he's talking about?
I’m hiring someone to do a large re-grouting project. Was going to try myself but I don’t have the patience.
Reviews on companies that do this work in my area are so mixed. What should I look for as they’re doing the work? If I see issues as the work is proceeding (rather than after it’s done) I have no problem stopping the job and having a conversation with the contractor. But what am I looking for?
