IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator | Official Launch Trailer
youtube.com7 hours after launch… I have no words to describe what I’m feeling right now.

We may have used the artillery plotting system in IRON NEST to create something familiar...
A whole year of work, all leading to one button press...
I love my job and what we’re creating, but sometimes the whole thing feels almost surreal.
Part of me would like to stay in this little development hell a bit longer, while another part just wants to press that button as soon as possible.
Still, something has to end for something new to begin. The entire journey with IRON NEST has certainly been an unforgettable one, and I can’t wait to see what August 6 brings when we finally press the Release button.
But more than anything, I’m curious to see what comes next...
Less than two weeks until the IRON NEST offensive begins
I’ve been sharing IRON NEST here for a long time now, and even though this isn’t exactly a gaming subreddit, the people of r/TankPorn have always been incredibly kind and supportive toward our project.
First of all, I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet lately. The final month before launch has been absolutely brutal for two of us, and we’ve barely had time to leave our development cave.
Still, I wanted to return one more time before launch and let you know that IRON NEST releases on August 6... in less than two weeks!
It’s honestly difficult to believe that we’ve finally reached this point. Your comments, encouragement, and interest in our absurd 5,000-ton war machine helped us keep moving forward, and you are genuinely part of the reason we managed to reach the finish line.
Thank you to everyone who supported us along the way.
The preparations are almost complete. The guns are loaded. High Command has issued the final orders**. See you on August 6, when the full offensive begins.**

IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator Wishlist Graph 20.06, 18:21
Hey everyone,
As you can see in the screenshot, IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator growth has been very strong over the first few days of the festival, and what surprised us most is that the numbers are still rising day by day rather than slowing down.
The first day brought around 11k new wishlists, while yesterday alone brought around 32k. Today is still not finished yet. However, what surprised us the most is the almost linear growth from day to day.
Hope this provides useful context for you all about what a top-performing demo can generate during Steam Next Fest.
Steam Next Fest 2026 - June: Wishlist numbers from a Top #1 or #2 ranked on festival game
Hey everyone,
Since my project IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator has been sitting at #1 or #2 (depending on the day and time) on Steam Next Fest since the festival began, and I have always been curious about these kinds of numbers myself, I decided to share some stats with you.
In roughly the first 5 days of the festival, we gathered 124,622 wishlists.
The growth has been increasing almost linearly, with each day bringing higher numbers than the previous. The first day brought around 11k new wishlists, while yesterday alone brought around 32k. And today is still not finished yet (for now, ~16k).
I thought this might be interesting for you if you are wondering what the top-performing demos can generate during the event.
We released the demo for our dieselpunk artillery game 2 days ago, and we’re now fighting through Steam Next Fest
Hey everyone!
Two days ago, we released the demo for IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator on Steam.
It is a dieselpunk artillery / heavy turret operation game where you control a massive war machine from the inside, pulling levers, reading mission orders, calculating shots, managing shells, and trying to survive whatever High Command throws at you.
We are also taking part in Steam Next Fest right now, and like probably every indie team during the festival, we are trying to reach the highest position we possibly can. Every person who plays the demo, leaves feedback, shares thoughts, or simply spends some time aboard IRON NEST helps us more than they probably realize!
So if the idea of operating a giant dieselpunk turret sounds interesting to you, we would be honored if you gave the demo a try.
After months of work, the demo of the Heavy-Artillery War Machine I’m making with my friend is finally out!
Hey everyone!
I know I’ve been posting a lot about my game over the last few months, but I’m really happy to finally share the most important update with you! The demo of IRON NEST, a game I’m making together with my friend Nick, is now available on Steam.
It’s been a long road for our small 2-person team, so seeing the game finally out there for people to play feels honestly unreal.
IRON NEST is a heavy turret simulator where you operate a massive dieselpunk artillery platform, manage its systems, load shells, calculate firing data, and try to survive on the battlefield.
I’m attaching the trailer here, and if the game looks interesting to you, we would be really grateful if you gave the demo a try. Thank you!
2 developers. 7 hours. 11,000 wishlists. #1 demo of Steam Next Fest.
IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator is currently:
- #1 New & Trending
- #1 Top Demo
- Highest player peak of the ongoing Steam Next Fest so far

We often think about wishlist numbers, so I'm sharing ours:
During the first 7 hours of Steam Next Fest, IRON NEST became the #1 demo of the festival, reached the highest player peak so far, and climbed to #1 in both New & Trending and Top Demos.
In those first 7 hours, we also gained around 11,000 wishlists.
I will keep sharing more analytics as the festival continues.
And of course, if you want to support our 2-person fight on the front, every demo launch, wishlist, review, and share means more than gold to us! Every hand on deck matters.

Our 2-person team reached #1 in Steam Next Fest on day one. It still feels unreal!
The first day of Steam Next Fest is behind us, and for me, it honestly feels like a dream came true.
Eight months ago, we revealed our game to the world by publishing the Steam page. Back then, we were not sure if our project was too niche or if anyone would really care about it.
Eight months later, during the first hours of Steam Next Fest, IRON NEST became the #1 most played demo on the festival. So far, we also have the highest player peak among Next Fest demos, which helped us climb to #1 on both the New & Trending and Top Demos lists.
On top of that, the demo currently has 97% positive Steam reviews.
This still feels unreal.
I just wanted to share this moment with other indie devs, especially small teams working on strange, niche, risky projects. Please do not stop believing in your ideas. Sometimes the thing you are afraid is “too niche” is exactly the thing people were waiting for.
Thank you to everyone who played, reviewed, wishlisted, shared, or simply believed in IRON NEST!
Hey its me again. My heavy artillery simulator just got a Demo on Steam.
Hey everyone,
I’ve posted about my game, IRON NEST, here a few times before, and this community has always been really kind and supportive of it.
Today the demo finally launched on Steam, so I wanted to come back and let you know that you can now play it.
IRON NEST is a heavy artillery/turret simulator focused on operating a huge dieselpunk war machine, with lots of manual controls, steel, machinery, and OFC big (2 x 800mm) guns! Basically, IRON NEST is a dramatically up-gunned take on the Bismarck’s 380 mm Zwillingsturm... scaled up to mount Schwerer-Gustav-style guns and fed by a cylinder-loading system inspired by French tank autoloaders.
I honestly couldn’t skip posting here, because you’ve shown the project so much support before that it would feel wrong not to share this moment with you.
I’d be really happy if you gave the demo a try.

Once again, thank you so much for always welcoming me so warmly whenever I bring new updates about IRON NEST here! Can't wait for your feedback.
