🚨🚨Hot take🚨🚨The second Spanish republic flag is my favorite historical flag.

I absolutely love everything about this flag. Royal purple has always been my favorite color. And for some reason, red, yellow, and purple go really well together.

As for my opinions as the country itself, yah I don’t wanna get into that. But I can’t help but admire this beauty every time I see it!

9/11 victim Welles Crowther. AKA “The man in the red bandana.”

Welles Crowther loved bandanas. He would always see his father with one in his pocket. When he was six, his father gave him a red bandana which would become his trademark.

On September 11th, nine minutes after the south tower was hit, Welles called his mother from his office and told her he loved her and he was okay.

Crowther then made his way to the 78th floor (which had been directly hit) and encountered a group of survivors including Ling Young. Young had been one of the people waiting for the elevators to take them down to the ground floor and evacuate. (Thankfully he never got one which likely saved his life.)

Crowther, who according to Young, was carrying a woman on his back, directed a group of 5 survivors to stairwell B, which was the only intact stairwell for people above the impact zone.

Despite having the chance to evacuate, he refused to and climbed back up the stairs to continue assisting others.

When he got back to floor 78, Crowther had donned his red bandana. He then encountered another group of survivors which included AON employee Judy Wein. According to her, Crowther grabbed fire extinguishers and assisted in putting out fires and gave first aid to many victims on the 78th floor. He also directed this group downstairs as well and saved their lives.

Crowther was last seen heading back upstairs for a third time after directing more people downstairs. He was killed shortly after when the south tower collapsed at 9:59. He was 24. There was no moment during the course of the attacks in which he attempted to save his own life.

Crowthers body was found in March of 2002 above the South tower lobby. It’s suspected he was down with the FDNY command center. Investigators concluded he most likely spent the final moments of his life as a civilian usher working closely with FDNY firefighters.

A total of 18 people owe their lives directly to his selfless actions. On his desk at his house, his parents found a nearly completed FDNY application form. In 2006, he was posthumously made an honorary member of FDNY.

9/11 victim Gary Box FDNY

Born in 1964, the extremely intelligent Gary graduated from high school early ranking 24 out of a class of 391.

Gary was recommended by many friends to join the FDNY, which he did.

As one of those closest to him pointed out: “If there was ever a dull moment with Gary‚ it meant he fell asleep. The man was tireless and his energy could light up a room. He never stopped moving and doing and talking He was continually expanding his mind and improving his skills. His spirit even through the toughest of times could not be broken. He greeted all with a grand smile and those he knew with arms open wide.”

On 9/11 Gary’s unit was immediately called to action. He geared up and began riding to the towers. Unfortunately, Gary’s vehicle broke down and stalled in traffic while heading to the towers.

Rather than waiting for repairs, Gary donned his heavy gear (over 70 pounds) and began running towards the towers. Despite carrying this massive amount of gear, Gary ran over a mile to the towers carrying it.

This man my friends, ran a whole mile, carrying roughly 70 pounds of gear, just to reach two burning skyscrapers and save others.

Photo #2 is the last time he was seen alive. You can see him sprinting through the battery tunnel to get to the towers. He was never seen again after this.

The 9/11 sisters - Dana and Zoe Falkenberg. Aged 3 and 8

Dana Christine Falkenberg was born in July of 1998. She loved her big sister Zoe, her parents, and her grandparents. She was always adored for the attention she gave to others. A fact which was said to be highly unusual for a 3 year old.

Zoe Elizabeth Falkenberg was born in November of 1992. Although she was by far the youngest and smallest in her class, Zoe was said by her teachers to be the brightest. She loved reading Harry Potter books and had planned a beanie baby birthday party once they got back from their trip.

Dana, Zoe, and their parents Charles and Leslie were all killed when American Airlines flight 77 crashed into the pentagon killing all on board.

While their time as sisters on this earth was cut short, their time together as sisters in heaven will last for an eternity.❤️

Betty Ann Ong - 45

Betty Ann Ong was born on February 5th 1956. She attended George Washington high school and graduated in 1974. Along her many hobbies as an adult included her collecting beanie babies.

Betty’s exquisite and beautiful looks almost landed her a job as a model, if it weren’t for her mother disproving of that career path. Instead, she went to work at her parent’s beef jerky factory.

One day, there was an armed robbery at the factory. The robbers held a gun to Betty’s head. According to her sisters and mother “Betty never looked panicked, even for a second.”

Betty according to many, was an expert at staying calm in dangerous situations. An achievement which would be put to the test in the most terrifying way possible.

On 9/11, Betty boarded American Airlines flight 11 as a flight attendant. She tragically assigned herself to this flight as she wanted so go to Los Angeles then to Hawaii to be with her sister. When the terroists made their move, Betty immediately got on the phone and called American Airlines operations center. She was the very first person to alert people on the ground as to what was happening that day.

She reported that a passenger named Daniel Lewin and 2 other flight attendants had been stabbed and they had lost all contact with the cockpit. Her phone call lasted roughly 4 minutes and ended when flight 11 crashed into the north tower killing her and everyone on board. But her swift thinking and swift actions led to the early closure of US airspace.

September 21st is now “Betty Ong day.” And the 9/11 commission report declared Betty was a hero for her actions.

Christine Lee Hanson - youngest 9/11 victim🕊️❤️

My friends, with one month to go until 25 years since the attacks, I wanted to take the time to honor victims on a near daily basis.

Christine Lee Hanson was born in February of 1999 to Peter and Sue Hanson. She loved to play with her stuffed animals and helping her dad in the garden. After her and her family were done planting, a little Christine would say to the tree or plant: “ I bet you are thirsty. Let me feed you and give you a hug.”

On 9/11, Christine and her parents boarded United airlines flight 175 for an exciting trip to Disneyland. The plane was hyjacked and flew into the south tower at 9:03, killing the whole family and all other passengers.

At the tender age of 2, Christine is the youngest 9/11 victim. She would be 27 today.

Addressing what I did on July 3rd

I’ll keep this quick my friends.

As you are all presently aware or witnessed first hand, on July 3rd, I posted a photo of an American flag boxer beating down a pride flag boxer.

Despite the fact I was taking a dig at pride month, not lgbtq people, I’m still in the wrong for what I did. So I apologize and take responsibility for the unneeded drama it created. I apologized to lyric cat and max specifically.

Max, you are by far one of my best online friends and for that I’m so terribly sorry I offended you that day. But I’m glad you and I went to dm’s and you let me apologize for what I did. I appreciate that.

Lyric cat, you’re beating a dead horse. I apologized to you and everyone I offended. You blaming me for EVERYTHING that is happening is dumbfounded at best and or severely misguided at most. You whining on this sub and other subs not affiliated with either CY or WCG is laughable.

You all know my views, I dislike pride month for what I personally perceive as extreme excess, but i definitely do not hate lgbtq people, or people that celebrate pride month.

In conclusion, I take full responsibility for any drama I created and personally apologize to all of my former and current lgbtq friends.

Non American citizens killed on 9/11 request

Hello all! Specifically those from other countries!❤️💪

In remembrance of the 25th year of the 9/11 terrorist attacks I’ve started a project in which will be a slideshow like video posted to YouTube upon completion.

It will feature pictures of 9/11 victims, their age, occupation, location of death, and a short bio about them.

Although an overwhelmingly amount of victims were Americans, citizens from other nations died as well.

With this fact in mind, anyone part of this subreddit who is a citizen of another nation, I would like for you to send me the name of a person killed in the 9/11 attacks who is from your nation.

The full video will be roughly 10 minutes long, so I’d like to dedicate a minute or two for non Americans who lost their lives.

9/11 was a global tragedy that affected many nations.

Thank you in advance!🇺🇸❤️🇺🇳
