Wrigley Field - Top Ten Moments
Card 10 of 10.
Sosa Hits Home Runs 61 and 62
September 13, 1998.
Slammin’ Sammy was fun to watch, and I liked that it was a Cardinal he was up against in McGwire. It only intensified the rivalry.
Pulled this out of a topps heritage hobby pack… can’t find any comps and have no idea what I have here
I see online it has a print run of 40-50, don’t know what to do with it. Does the 50th anniversary add any sort of value? Should I grade this to get it slabbed? Any info is appreciated!
Happy Mother's Day! Let's see those awesome parallels!
Wrigley Field - Top Ten Moments
Card 9 of 10.
Wood’s 20 K’s;
May 6,1998
So glad I decided to cut school this day and sit in the bleachers! I’ve been at Wrigley for several historic moments and this was definitely a fun one.
Any card collectors in here?
Mune recreated Franks pose for 2026 Series 2. Need this one.
Wrigley Field - Top Ten Moments
First Night Game at Wrigley Field,
August 8, 1988.
I remember this tragedy. They only played until the 4th inning on 8/8/88, leading to a different piece of trivia for the first *completed* night game on 8/9/88.
I was thinking I could get them signed before a game wasn’t sure what the consensus on that is. I just think they’d look really good signed with them looking slick in street clothes
Wrigley Field - Top Ten Moments
Card 7 of 10.
The Sandberg Game;
June 23, 1984.
Anyone else usually toss these stars of mlb cards from retail boxes away? My son opened a Costco box and had already pulled three numbered cards from the flagship collection packs so didn’t think the regular packs would have anything. I had no idea these inserts had a numbered variation.
Card 6 of 10.
Milt Pappas’ Near-Perfect Game
September 2, 1972.
Card 5 of 10 in the set.
Ernie Banks’ 500th Home Run - May 12, 1970.
I love having any Mr. Cub card in my collection and this one is no exception.
Card 4 of 10.
Don Cardwell’s No-Hitter, May 15, 1960.
Card 3 of 10 in the set.
Hartnett’s Homer in the Gloamin. September 28, 1938.
No lights at Wrigley. As it should be (until one of the later cards).
NFS/NFT. It’s just a lovely card of a guy that pitched really well for the Cubbies.
I haven’t paid much attention to cards since I was a little kid. I’ve been playing diamond dynasty more and it created an itch for real cards. Happen to see the Topps boxes at my local Costco warehouse and decided to buy two. This came from the second box. I’m assuming I got pretty lucky but I truly have no clue what I’m doing lol.
