I’ve been lurking/searching on here. It seems like the Nexgrill Daytona is looked at as a decent budget starter?

Fam of 5. Often host more people. I think I’d rather have size over brand name but don’t want to make a mistake either.
A 36” Daytona is around $300 near me. It seems like most of you guys say it’s a good set up. Not top of the line but good. Would you guys agree? It’ll be used often.

I’d like to get something before summer ends.

First specs at 33/super last minute. How do we feel about my pick? Can’t decide.

I feel weird posting a selfie so this may disappear soon.. 🫣

Bonus points if the first thing you noticed is the dog hair on me.

Yesterday I lost one of my two Anker 525. I’ve used these for years daily and they really are perfect for me. But apparently they are discontinued. Does anyone have any recommendations of anything similar?

I’m a pilot for a living and my phone and iPad are essential to aviation now. My line work requires a lot of charging. I’m open to built-in cables but really it’s how thin it was for me that did it so perfectly. The 20,000 amp power is probably more than enough, but I still carry two. Having the ability to have the power bank in a pocket somewhere and my phone mounted and not having to have it close is essential as well. It seems like everything is gone pretty cube shaped.
I would love recommendations from anyone. I don’t have to stick with Anker, but they have treated me very well for many years.
I guess I lost mine yesterday and now I’m down to one and I really do prefer to have backups.

Ordered blades for this mower. They fit but don’t have the same offset as the OEM ones. Any reason not to run them?

I fly private jets for a living. AMA.

I fly private jets for high-net-worth business owners, executives, and families. I get a behind-the-scenes look at a world most people rarely see. Ask me anything—flying, aerodynamics, private aviation, passengers, weird requests, funny stories, or what the job is actually like.

New house. Tons of (mostly small) stumps. Best route for DIY removal?

I’ve gotten many of them out using a recip saw and a pruning blade below grade. I know, I know. Not ideal. But it works with cheap harbor freight blades. I get 5-10 per blade. Stump grinders are very expensive to rent near me.
Many of them are left. As weird as it sounds I’m not as concerned about the big ones since they are in the front yard. I think the back yard (all except the last 3 pics) are most important. I’d like to get them outta there and try to grow some grass even though it’s very shaded.

Missing Dog-Spring Valley area of Red Bank

Hey gang,

My loved pup, Archie, has been gone for a few hours. He's never done this before and obviously I am worried. He was last seen in the Spring Valley neighborhood of Red Bank sitting on the porch. He's friendly and intelligent. If anyone has any info please feel free to reach out.

Thank you!

Kinda feel like this expansion tank is supposed to be supported somehow. Thoughts?

Tell me more about this condensation build up and how to address it.

From the handler in my garage. Unit works well. Condenser is new. Handler is a couple years old. Seems like a lot of water.
Secondly, what’s that valve dealio in the second pic. A diverter or sorts?

I'm a professional pilot and just got my first pair of specs at 33. Curious on why it took so long and how to understand getting used to them.

When I was a kid I was 20/15 and 20/10. Haven't been checked since. Evey year I do a vision test for my aviation medical. The typical letters on a chart thing. Last year the 20/20 was tough. This year it was impossible. I immediately left the exam to go get an eye exam and glasses. Both because I want to and I'm legally required to fly with them now. I was around 20/30. I am now corrected to 20/15. I have two astigmatisms/one in each eye.

I see the difference. The detail I see in the world is great. But, I feel like I am looking through a fishbowl, my peripherals are weird and I lost my depth perception. It feels like each eye is trying to match the other when looking at a distance, I feel like I'm 3 feet tall. Would backing off down to 20/20 be worth it or is this normal? I hate it so much, but if it's part of it I'll do it. I dont want to wear them all day/everyday forever. Id like to be able to go back and forth.

So, how long does this take? It's trippy, my forehead is tingly and it makes me a little dizzy. Will I be able to go back to wearing glasses some days and not wearing them other days?

I added my prescription for reference.

Sad day for the Honda. Any advice on insurance?

First off, my family is safe and not hurt. So, it’s a win.

Secondly, airbags went off. I’m preparing for it being totaled. I have roughly 108k miles on a 2013 touring. Great van. FB market place has the values of a used couch. Carvana is 13k-18k. Leather, DVD, heated seats.. the works.
I paid 15k with 88k miles a year and a half ago. I owe $8500.

Would you guys be open to sharing comps you see? Ive never officially don’t this process before. I’m in Chattanooga, TN id that matters.

Any other advise would be great.

Here’s a weird one. Two chamberlain garage doors. Only one funky one

New house. Didn’t pick the garage door openers. Universal Chamberlain 2 door garage door openers. (I have two of these and both act the same)
The properly functioning door is the standard PN# 045ACT
The weird one is the “smart” PN# 030DCT

The standard works fine at a fine range. Opens and closes as needed. The other “smart” does not function well. It only opens if I’m in the garage. If I press the button outside. Nothing. If I walk on the garage after not pressing the button again it opens. This happens with both remotes. It will not work. If I am inside it works fine.

I added about 8 feet of wire to the antenna towards the door to see if that was the issue and no change.

Video included. I’m happy to share anything else but I’m stumped. It’s happened with 4 remotes. Same issue. Only the “myQ” is the issue.

Based off days and days of research.. I’m seeing LG is a good go to for a washer and dryer. Which duo is ideal? Are those worth the extra cheddar?

I’ve gotta order them today. Keep in mind I’m also buying other appliances so the price does matter a bit. Is it worth the extra money for the higher end?

I’ve been talked out of GE. How do we feel about these? Maytag or whirlpool?

I’m buying a home that has this shower set up (7 shower heads) and I have a question.

It seems like a lot of heads for only one diverter valve. As I turn the diverter I can get it in the middle where it will allow 2 heads to work at once, though those heads will have a reduced flow. Or I can set it to one head at a time. I seems like I should be able to do more than this at a time. Is there a setting or a modification to help with this?

Secondly, can anyone identify the fixture used? I believe they are delta.

Is that how this set up is supposed to be? I’ve done plenty of plumbing but my experience in this dept is the standard shower/tub kits.

Are these used Maytag Bravo XLs a good buy for $400?

Seller said they work perfectly and that we can run them before we buy. We need a cheap set and we need some good work horses also. Thoughts?

I'm selling my silver for a down payment on a house. And I need to take a vote

*UPDATE* I sold. I tripled my money with this silver. I will be back for more. But for now a home for my family. Thanks for all who gave constructive input!

My offer got accepted a few days ago when silver was above $72. Now it's around $65 and my best local offer is around five dollars under spot. Should I wait a few more days and hope it goes up or take what I know and sell today.

Readdddddy vote! (Also not looking for advise aside from hold a little or hope a little)

I’m amazed with the quality. Not getting the “Vintage” (lume) is killing me.

As a pilot and space nerd I can’t decide if I regret it or not. Aside from that I’m a believer. I believe the OG moon watch was more lume than black and white.
