I was on spironolactone for acne; it didn't do much for acne but made my usually fine/thin hair much fuller and healthier. Now that I started testosterone, my NP said to stop the spiro since it blocks t/etc. My hair seems to be more lifeless again and I miss the oomph I got with spiro. What other alternatives are out there, or have worked for you, regarding using t and keeping/increasing fullness to your hair? I have been reading the sub and googling and can't seem to find anything. I did get a topical spiro from Curology but I don't think it is doing much. Thanks!

…only to be told they’re “completely out” of all estrogen patches (all %, weekly, biweekly). They’re getting a biweekly rx on file and added me to the waitlist for possible ETA of October 20. It’s September 9. Over a month. Hopeful I can snag a month locally. I have 0.025 but was bummed to 0.0375. Wondering if I can McGyver the 0.025 to = 0.0375 (not sure these are cut-able?).

Upped my tirz a touch (.5) and the nausea was BAD. NBD because I have Ondansetron (Zofran). Cracked it open and dosed appropriately. Now 48ish hours later and I’m so constipated. Realizing it was clearly the Ondansetron (and the tirz doesn’t help but I usually have the other problem). This is zero fun. I’m very regular so this will be an interesting unfolding of events.

I got the weekly giant patches (they’re not that big but compared to my previous bi-weekly they are) since CVS was out do the biweekly. Popped it on. Looked awful at the edges after like 2 days so threw tegaderm on it to make sure it stayed. Took it off today and it looks like I have a hickey on my ass. Doesn’t hurt or itch but it’s UUUUGGGLY. Anything I can do to avoid this?

I also feel like my sleep got WORSE since I went up to 0.0375. Anyone else? I might pop down to the lower patch next week since I have some of those left and see if my sleep improves. And give my poor ass a break! 🤣

I was hesitant on GLP-1 because I had previously been able to lose weight with tracking. Now that I’m 43, that shit doesn’t work. I started HRT in May and then tirzepatide in June. Slowly titrated. I’m now about 10 weeks in and in week 3 of a 4mg dose (and first week of increased testosterone) and holy shit I’ve lost over 10 lbs total!! The last week has been the steadiest downward trend ever. Im not sure if it’s the building of the tirz or the increase in testosterone. I told my husband (he’s incredibly supportive!) but with 3 kids, I don’t talk about my weight in front of them. So I’ve been silently celebrating. 🥳

I had tried and failed for a year to lose weight. Worked with a dietician, am very active, etc. I am SO HAPPY!!! Finally starting to feel like me again!!

Recently bumped from 2 to 4 mg cream. Suddenly have some acne that I finallllyyyyy had cleared up months ago. It’s the t increase, right? Does it subside and I should push through? Or am I in for something bad? I was previously on spitonolactone but stopped when I started t in May. I have a solid af skincare routine so I’m humming hard. Thoughts?

My peri periods have been bonkers lately -- 31-32 day cycles and then cramps from HELL. Today I got said devil period...on day 6 of my GLP-1 shot. (Essentially meaning that most of the impact has waned by now since I am due for my shot tomo.) This should be illegal.

I’m sure I’ll be ousted, but why are patch posts disappearing in the main peri sub? What in the 1984 Big Brother is happening right now??? Isn’t that critically linked to the topic at hand??

I am looking to get a topical estrogen cream to apply to my plantar fascitis (dr is OK with this but sent a face cream via Midi and it is $$) since insurance won't cover both patches and cream (of course my patch is not available so that is awesome). I know there are lots of telehealths who will sell it either as estriol or estradiol for HRT/face creams. Has anyone used one and/or have reccs? I googled and there are sooo many that do this now!

Looking to see what to add to my tirz. I lift 6 days/week and am 43F so need all the help I can get with aging. How are folks liking the new Lipo-Mino-Mix-C offering? What sort of results are you feeling? How do you know to order 10mL or 30mL?

I’m in the full gambit of HRT (e .025 patch, p 100 mg pill, t 2 mg cream). How do you know the levels are working for you? I still have blah sleep (but it’s better) but I feel like my e needs to be increased. I have no idea why, but like a gut feeling. How do I know I’m on the right levels? I have my midi appt coming up so want to ensure I’m asking the right questions and saying the right things. (Ex: didn’t realize plantar fasciitis could be a symptom/exasperated in peri! I never mentioned to my dr bc it didn’t seem relevant)

I’m currently on topical T cream from Midi. I’m seeing that some folks are able to get injectable and that it’s “better” (bioavailability, less dyed effects, etc). Anyone get this rx via Midi? Another TeleHealth? Thanks!
