i9 10850k overheating, regardless of what I do

A bit ago, my brother and dad built a pc. It is now mine. It has an i9 10850k, 4060 ti, 16gb ddr4 at 3600mts. For some reason, it always ran with the stock cooler, whiccch is apparently a poor idea for succh a power hungry cpu. I decided to upgrade it. Today, I installed a thermalright phantom spirit 120se. I followed a tutorial and ensured I did everything 100% correctly. Yes, I did remove the sticker on the heatsink. I applied artic mx4 thermal paste. With the stock cooler, under very minimal load, I was averaging 50-70 degrees. Under low-mid load... just loading software such as a miencraft launccher, it was hitting 100c and throttling itself. Loading chunks drops my fps to 20-40 and resolves to 200 oncce they are all loaded. it is so unbelievably odd. With the thermalright one i get the same thing. Ive tried evgerything. I limited the draw to 125w. Restored factory settings in my bios. It is so unbelivably annoying. I've spent such a long time troubleshooting and I cannot get it fixed. Its more than usable, but there is absolutely no way that I am getting the performancce that I should be and that those temps are normal. The image provided is litearlly me idling with hwinfo, nzxt, steam and apex. Nothing else. This is also a semi-fresh windows installation, so there shouldnt be some hidden crypto miner that I somehow got.

Please help me 😭

I have no idea how I pulled this off

I am 99% confident I got 2 frqs wrong… I guess I did very well on the mcq?

This was the only exam I took as I am a freshman, and I’m ecstatic, even if the credit is less important.

Is getting 12-14 hours of sleep to feel well rested something to be worried about?

Is getting 12-14 hours of sleep to feel well rested something to be worried about?

I am 15, 6,5, 148 lbs, so very lean. I grew super fast when I was around 13-14. for a while now, I end up getting ~12 hours of sleep daily. I’ve typically fallen asleep around 10-1 am est and wake up around noon. there have been very feew days where I’ve woken up at 7 ish and haven’t been able to fall back asleep. One of them, I ignored it and had a very tired day… I slept until 4 the next day. Today, I took a 5 hour nap at 11 after waking up at 7. I am very inactive most days. I really sit/lie down for 80% of my Awake day. This post is honestly just my curiousity.

Feedback/suggestions on couple pieces of clothing

I recently picked up these 3 for ~$5 total, so pretty good prices. all men’s

large Rl dress button up

VV xl dress button up

colombia large button up shirt

I’d appreciate any feedback or selling/listing advice. try to keep it positive.

btw, I do not plan on listing with descriptions/pictures consistent with the ones provided. I was just being lazy. Im gonna cold wash and iron before listing.

Who actually uses this?

in wildcard, I’ll come across these optics, but it is so visually cluttering that I never ever use it. The highlight perk doesnt even matter for me because of how distracting the sight is. 1x red dot is so much better imo

I think I broke it

Also, it seems inspecting triggers the minimap to spawn in the range.

Pre college program website redirects to phishing site?

I was browsing the precollege programs for tech a bit ago and noticed that clicking the Pre-College initiative option redirected to https://www.vtnsbepci.com, which is just a phishing redirect domain. Not a super big deal, but can definitely cause some harm. I sent an email to the tech team listed on the tech website and as of ~4 months, it has still remained. It could be out of reach. maybe the domain got stolen somehow? Anyways, just curious if anyone else noticed this or has any input.

Edit: Resolved

Hot take - being very tall is overrated

I’ve always been a very tall person. Now, at 15, I am 6,5. there have be some positives but a lot of negatives. there were periods where i ate every 30 minutes, my back is always hurting, I can’t sit straight, I get so much attention, everyone makes it seem like I am legally obliged to play sports etc. It’s just too much attention. everyone I meet says “do you play sports”, I say no, because I don’t, and they start complaining. I’ve always been a little awkward and sports are too much pressure for me. Im sure it’ll improve as I progress through school, it’s just been so meh.

Most of the time I feel like the fights are so much more fun even without playing controllers.
