Vostok Komandirskie: Blank ( no origin markings ) on this one!
Seiko December 1970 Cévert,
I started with my Vostok…which needs servicing…it stopped as I knew it would…had it on as a test to see how long it would last:4.25 hours,
Vostok Amphibia…, putting her through her paces! 2209 SU caliber, outer bezel mod.
My grandfather’s Moondater!
His initial engraved on the clasp, of his BoR Bracelet…..
Trying to pull off a bit of 1970s cool, lol!

Swatch New Gent against the Sun!
I love the small detail of the 9 on it’s side, clever! in a Swatch sort of way!
Ha! I forgot the picture earlier: Orient, Yesteryear…and now: A first Generation Mako XL, with specifically requested Coke Bezel Mod
L: Orient KD, compressor 0104904EB
M: 1970s-Early 80s, Rivetless SK, Tobacco dial and radar overlay, German/English day/date
R: The Mako XL with 46943 movement, Coke Bezel mod (requested), with Spanish/English day/date wheel
First-Gen Orient Mako XL "Coke" Mod 🥤
Sharing my modified 1st Generation Orient Mako XL (FEM7500). Orient never officially made a Coke bezel for the XL, so I decided to fix that!
It is still powered by the original, bulletproof factory Orient Calibre 46943 movement inside and sports the classic first-gen lollipop seconds hand. Think of it as an Orient built in the exact same spirit as a custom Seiko SKX mod. Absolutely loving how the black and red ties the whole case together!
My 1st-Gen Orient Mako XL "Coke" Mod
Taking the first-generation Mako XL (FEM7500) out for a spin today.
This is a deliberate aftermarket modification, not a factory colorway! Orient famously never scaled up their Coke bezel for the XL case, so I decided to fix that mistake myself.
Everything else is 100% pure Orient heritage—including the massive 44.5mm case, that vintage "lollipop" seconds hand, the iconic 2 o'clock day-changer button, and the original, absolute tank of an in-house Orient Calibre 46943 movement.
If people can endlessly customize their Seiko SKX divers, I figure the Mako deserves the exact same enthusiast love. Absolutely thrilled with how the black and red completely transforms the look of this piece!
What's on your wrist today?
