Bella never in her life desired motherhood or a baby. Renesmee was unexpected accident. And I’m not saying Bella doesn’t love her, but she is not a present mother. She’s too focused on Edward and being a newborn. Edward also says right in his daughter’s face that Bella is prettier than her. He wanted to get rid of her until he heard her thoughts and he had no moral qualms about it. He’s not father of the year either. Renesmee would’ve been better off being raised by Rosalie and having Bella as an “aunt” figure. I said what I said.

My understanding is that we can’t talk directly to loved ones who pass away and they can’t see us, but can we pass a message to them from God? Today is the birthday of someone I lost and I want to tell God to tell him I said happy birthday and that I miss him. I’m not sure if that’s biblical?

I love the part in midnight sun when Edward explains how Alice and Jasper moved in when he and Emmett were out hunting and Alice moved his things to the garage. I so wish we got the full scene- them arriving and the family being like “what the actual f?” And then Edward being pissed when Alice takes over his bedroom.

I walk outside my house today and it’s so smokey from the wildfires that I can’t breathe. And I live fairly far from Canada, so I can’t imagine how devastating and awful this is for them. Wildfires are destroying our forests and beautiful animals. I’m sick of humans destroying our world. We should wipe out the whole planet and start over with just animals and no humans.

My head canon is that Rosalie would be a cat girlie 100 percent. Cats are known for setting boundaries, personal space, affection on their own terms etc. I feel like that’s Rosalie to a T. It’s funny she has a “golden retriever” husband though, haha. Just some food for thought.

We know that as vampires, Edward and Carlisle do not believe there is one. As humans, Carlisle was raised by a preacher, so he likely believes in one for humans. What about the others? And are their views on vampire vs human afterlife different? For example, Emmett was Christian as a human so he likely believed in heaven, but as a vampire I feel like he’s the “I don’t really give an f either way” type lol. What about Bella, Rosalie, Alice, Jasper, Esme?

What are some basic tips for transitioning into private practice? I have no idea where to start. How do you get an llc? Is remote work possible? Do I need to register as a business? I’m pretty clueless and would love any suggestions or experiences so I can decide if this is the direction I’d like to take! I’ve only done therapy for companies so far and have been in the field for 6 years.

Last time I asked this, no one actually answered the question. It’s midnight and I’m feeling spicy, so going to post this again. I’m just genuinely asking out of curiosity, not to judge people or share my own beliefs. So share your best arguments for or against independent voters and views in 2026!

Did SM not research history before developing her characters? I’m sure there’s a bunch of examples, but off the top of my head- Rosalie’s ex fiance was drinking with friends in April of 1933, when prohibition was still in place. Now let’s say ok they got a bottle from a friend, fine. But Rosalie also mentioned him drinking champagne at weddings. Did SM just forget that was a thing? I’m sure there’s examples with other characters and their eras, as well, but this was such an easy one to do research on for 5 mins or less.

Edit- I know people still drank, that’s why I used the wedding serving as an example. Other examples/characters you guys can think of in the books or movies?

My husband and I got married in 2025 and back when we were cashing our wedding checks, the bank made it a big deal that some checks had both of our names and a last name that I didn’t legally change yet. Whatever. Fast forward to now- we got a refund check from taxes and went to cash it and the bank told us it must go into a joint account since both of our names are on it. We don’t use our joint account. I said to her “why can’t we put it in one account only?” And the lady said no that’s not how it works. Why tf am I being forced to use a joint bank account with my husband? I’ve never heard of this before. It’s frustrating af.

This is mainly a vent. I’m in my TWW (about 6-7 dpo). We leave for a family vacation next Sunday, exactly when it would be appropriate to test or Aunt Flo would arrive. I’m really hopeful this month because vacation would be perfect to tell my family (they are my parents and my sister, so I wouldn’t wait at all to tell them). I started my packing list and I put tampons and all on there. I know obviously I need to pack them, but I’m kind of being stubborn and telling myself “don’t pack them or you will jinx it.” It’s going to tough, especially if I am not pregnant, but my husband will be with me too, which helps.

I’ve been Christian my whole life. I was raised Catholic and switched to non denominational about 10 years ago. My pastor was discussing speaking in tongues (not a usual topic for her). She came from a pentocastal church growing up, so likely has more experience than I do. Anyway, she said she knew a man who was at a funeral and got the urge to speak in tongues and later learned that there was someone there who understood him, as it was his native language. I’m not saying it can’t happen, but is there no scientific explanation? Is it possible for someone to start speaking a language fluently that they don’t know? I’m just a little hesitant on the “tongues” thing and not sure if I believe it.

It’s interesting that the cast seems to all have an ok relationship with Bryan. They did the reunion with
him, they follow him on social media, etc. I’m not saying they don’t have qualms with him, but it is interesting that none of them cut him off the way they cut off Abby (which I 100 percent support them in doing). Granted, he wasn’t the one directly abusing children, but he was part of it. What are your thoughts?

My digital ovulation test has been a blinking smile for 2 days meaning levels are rising and levels are also rising on the strips but still negative. We BD yesterday and the day before. I don’t want to today because I am freaking exhausted from work. If I ovulate tomorrow then I’ll be angry at myself for not using today (the highest chance). Does the exact percent chance each day matter a lot (ie 30 percent chance day before vs 20 percent 2 days before)?

I had curly hair as a toddler and then it became wavy. It has a beautiful wave and sometimes a bit of curls after washing, but the minute I brush it it gets poofy and not wavy/curly. It’s been referred to as “Irish curls.” Are there products to maintain its natural wave or should I just never brush my hair? I usually shower at night so waking up and not brushing it before work just is not going to happen. It’s frustrating!

I always end up scrolling through the atheism subreddit because it’s interesting to see how other people think and feel. I’m not there to try to convert them, because the page says they don’t want that, just to browse and read. I think it’s important for us to be able to look at our own flaws and what others may see as hurtful or incorrect to be able to grow. The people on there aren’t always the nicest, but I feel like it’s an educational way for me to learn.

I forget the exact quote but it was something along the lines of Carlisle suggested that they get married and they were like “oh ok” and married. Was Carlisle thinking along the lines of the fact that they might’ve been being intimate and not married? Or, did they just not know it was an option? I understand Alice not knowing because she had no human memories. But, they clearly lived with Carlisle and Esme and Rosalie and Emmett and knew it was an option. Why couldn’t they choose to marry or not? Why was it so important to Carlisle?

I played a read along story on YouTube for a kid that was summarized as a story about mistakes and being imperfect. Well, we watched the story and the book started talking about God and mentioned God multiple times. I’m Christian, but I’m not a Christian therapist and I don’t discuss religion with clients. Kiddo didn’t seem to notice, but the fact that God was mentioned 3 times in the book without warning and described as the solution annoyed me because that was not mentioned at all when I read the description. I guess I learned my lesson to watch/read books before presenting them to clients.

My period didn’t show up Monday as expected but all my tests have been negative. My doctor increased my thyroid medication about 5 weeks ago and I think that might be the cause. But, I’m confused.

Another stressor is that my body’s natural lubricant is non existent. My husband and I tried to have sex tonight and it was so dry and painful that we gave up and I cried. I don’t even know why I cried. I think I’m frustrated that my hormones were supposed to get better with the thyroid medicine change and not worse. I don’t even know if I ovulated this month or when I will ovulate again. I feel so sad.

My husband is also trying to convince me that I could be pregnant and to get a blood test but I think he has wishful thinking and doesn’t fully understand how ovulation and hormones work. We didn’t even have sex in the window when I may/may not have ovulated and I’m like 35 days into my cycle. A home pregnancy test would’ve been positive by now.
