Epiphone Thunderbird bridge replacement question.

Y'all were right. The stock bridges are garbage. I was setting the action and the back posts pulled out of the body. I reset it and it happened again. I immediately bought a Hipshot bridge for it.

My question is should I do anything to the holes when installing the new bridge, such as using toothpicks to keep them tight in the wood? Or should I just drop it in and see what happens?

Darkglass B7K Ultra...my new sound.

This just arrived last week and I was afraid it wasn't what I needed at first. After a few days of dialing it in, it has become THE sound of my bass on a project that I'm working on. The term "modern netal" gets used a lot when people talk about it but it does a lot more than that. I have a nice, thick Motown sound using my Fender Jazz with flatwounds on it. Game changer. I did have an Ampeg SCR-DI but the dirt channel on it was thin and transparent. I can dial some grit in on the Darkglass and it makes my signal fat and thick without being fuzzed out. It's way more versatile than most people give it credit for.

I've never spoken to a real woman because I'm terminally online, but out of all my anime cartoons I've never seen one smile like this.

It just looks like something a computer would make up. What is even the point of this picture?

Ghost Recon Wildlands still patching since update.

Unable to play. Is it like this for anyone else? That game might be the only reason that I have GeForce.

2005 Custom Shop Limited Edition Epiphone Thunderbird. I wanted something that growled. This thing makes every obscene noise imaginable.

It growls, roars, burps, and farts. I run it through an Ampeg SCR-DI and it instantly sounds like Justin Chancellor's bass from Tool. I was wanting one in white ever since the last time I saw Steven McDonald rock one with the Melvins on stage. Super pleased but also pissed that it took me this long to discover how bad ass these are.

NI Guitar Rig Does Not Show Up

I've scanned and rescanned and I can't get it to show up in my plugin folder. I use it to lay down scratch tracks while building songs in my DAW. Any help is appreciated.

Preamp Advice.

I have an Ampeg SCR-DI that I think sounds really good, but everyone talks about Sansamp and Darkglass preamps and I wanted to get a consensus on the pros and cons of those.

I think the Ampeg does a great job on straight bass tones and it does embody the SVT's sound...but I think that when I engage the Scrambler circuit I lose too much bottom end. I'm working on some stuff where I need a grinding bass and YouTube demos aren't selling me on anything yet.

Garacecaster. One pickup, one knob, one job.

I made this for a particularly noisy garage rock project I worked on. Gutted all the electronics and just ran the Seymour Duncan humbucker through a volume control into the amp. No tone control. It only does.one thing, but it does it well.

Strangely enough, it is the most well-intonated instrument that I own. Plays gorgeous, sounds vulgar.

Looking for suggestions for an inexpensive "chunky" sounding bass (Faith No More/Tool)

Once in a while I work on something that needs a more metallic sound with low end and a bright clink on the attack. I use an Ampeg SCR-DI to achieve close to this sound with my Fender Jazz (Seymour Duncan Apollo pickups), but I want a reason to buy another bass, lol.

I have seen Aria Pro Integras around which I know can do the job, but I wanted more options. I had a MusicMan Stingray but didn't like it.

Anything else that might work right around $400-$500 dollars?

Came back home for a recharge. I miss y'all so much.

We went to the Tomahawk/Melvins show last Thursday at HOB and cruised around the city on the streetcars for a few days. Y'all were so fun to hang out with and we can't wait to come back next year to do it again.

Albums where the 2nd song is the best one.

My buddy and I have this theory that most of our favorite albums play their best song on the 2nd track. This is our favorite example.

Any Fixodent Ultra users?

My dentist gave me a small tube the day I got my immediate dentures in. I went to the store with no knowledge of the difference between adhesives and bought regular Fixodent. It worked (for me at the time) but it was so hard to clean from the denture and roof of my mouth, and halfway through the day my upper was moving a lot. One day I took the small sample tube out and used it and immediately realized how much better of a product it is. I was able to eat slightly more challenging foods and it felt like the appliance was welded in.

Being new to this lifestyle, is there a product that I should try that is more dependable? I'm sure these types of questions are asked a lot in here but how much better can these products get than the one I am currently satisfied with?

Week One Depression.

I've had my upper for 6 days. I'm speaking relatively normal and everyone compliments me on my smile, but at night when I take them out I can't even look in the mirror. I never want my girlfriend to see me without them either, so I make sure she's asleep before I remove them and don't speak to her in the morning until they're cleaned and back in.

I guess realizing that this is me for the rest of my life is hitting me hard this first week. My dentist said I had a great attitude about having them but I didn't tell him that I'm dealing with this every night and every morning.

Anyone else go through this sort of "postpartum depression" after the extractions?

New(-ish) player just discovered the Sam Fisher mission. WTF?

I was able to get into the room with him on the first try, but how do you survive that assault? Look left, get shot from the right. Duck in the corner, get shot through the window. Move at all, get absolutely nuked. My team is scattered everywhere needing life support. Sam sits there like he can't be bothered with his own survival.

What are some strategies to put this behind me ASAP?

Played The Wrong Game For Weeks

I treated it as a Run-And-Gun but it wasn't until I played it as a tactical teamwork game that I really started to enjoy it. I love when I find a way to complete a mission with tools and tactics instead of bullets and brawn.

New Guitar Day: Godin Radium (Christened as Lady Luck)

I've been eyeing these up for years. Real solid player, sounds good but I'm going to put a Gilmour Mod switch so I can get those true Les Paul and Tele tones.

Best Dentist For A Partial Denture (Quick/Affordable)

I had an accident this week and have 3 teeth that need to be replaced. I'm not in pain but I need this fixed relatively quickly and without costing the price of a small sedan.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Female Vocalist Needed For 5 Song EP.

The musical style is old Americana/lounge...think Patsy Cline, Nancy Sinatra, even early Lana Del Rey. I'm not looking for an Olympic singer that can jump octaves, just someone that knows how to tell a story with inflection. Think Beth Gibbons from Portishead cutting a record at Sun Studio in the 50s.

The production will intentionally be lofi, trying to capture the overall sound of days gone by through the use of minimalist recording techniques. Your.vocals may be processed slightly to fit the tone of the record.

If this sounds like something you would be into, please message me.

Trading Negative Hours For Positive Time

I used to stay up late drinking, watching TV and playing video games. I developed severe insomnia for a long time and felt like I was stuck in a slow downward spiral. I was living in the negative hours past most people's bedtimes, and the cost was my physical and mental health.

Then my father passed away, and I decided I didn't want my family sitting around my death bed watching life slip away from me due to all of the bad decisions that I made.

So I flipped my days.

I started by waking up at 4:30 AM every morning. This caused my insomnia to vanish within a week. Then, I began cooking healthy breakfasts for myself which became part of my new ritual. After breakfast, I go to the gym until it's time for me to go to work. I flipped my days on their heads so that my time spent not working and not spending time with my family worked for my benefit and not against it. I'm stronger, leaner, and my mental clarity is through the roof.

I feel alive again.
