Essentially this would be a follow up to Dark Journey because I find Vydel's canonical fate in the EU to be rather lame.

This is the basic outline I have in my head so far:

• Palpatine tells Vader about a surge in the Dark Side and commands him to kill it
• On the planet of the surge Vydel is trying to evade the Stormtroopers while trying to track down Kardem
• Vydel runs into Vader, she tries to flee but Stormtroopers soon corner her
• Vader tells Vydel that he's looking for a surge in Dark Side, to which she offers Vader to help track Kardem down, only for Vader to say, "I don't need to, because the surge of the Dark Side is right infront of me, YOU ARE KARDEM!!!"
• This causes Vydel to panic and switch to Kardem's personality
• The two fight, while Kardem is able to stay in the battle due to Force Lightning, he can't overcome Vader's tenacity and power
• The fight ends with Vader being the one to cut Kardem in half
• Vydel comes back, in her last moments cradled in Vader's arms she asks Vader, "Did you defeat him?" to which Vader replies "Yes..."
• Vydel's last words are "Thank you"
