Will only a year of Canadian experience be enough for a strong profile (EE CEC) ?

Hello, I will be coming to study in Canada next year (for econ and public policy in Ottawa). I started looking at the immigration process I will have to go through If I want to stay in Canada after my studies. I simulated the CRS score calculator and by the end of my studies I will have a score of 525. But if I gain 1 year of work experience it goes up at around ~560.

I'm pretty confident in getting 1 year of work experience out of the 3 years PGWP ( I know things can go wrong ).

With that score I think I will be able to get the ITA. Will my profile be good enough for my EE CEC to get approved or will I need to work on some other aspects ?

Thanks for reading this

Can a country pay off its debt without reducing quality of life ?

Most countries increase their debt every year and exceed the ceiling amount fixed. Let's say c country want to pay off a significant amount of it's current debt during the next 20 years. Can they do that without affecting drastically the quality of life off it's residents ? ie: reducing social benefit, increase taxes, increase retirement age, reduce pension or parental leave ?

Still undecided about cs major at u of ottawa

Hello, I hope you're doing well. I'm an intl (bilingual) that got into u ottawa for cs degree and math + econ (both co-op). I'm still debating on which one I should go for. I was more inclined for CS, and I talked to a few alumni, but the current job market looks brutal right now.

Wanted to hear some opinions from this sub and what you guys think the job market will look like in 5 years.

After a month I'm started to get worried about ED

Hi there. I’m going through a rough patch right now. A few weeks ago, I went through a period where I was incredibly horny to a point where I could barely contain it. I don’t masturbate, I’ve never had sex, and I don’t really watch porn (though I might see some soft stuff on social media).

I don’t know what happened but the urge was so strong that I started scrolling through escort sites, and I won’t say that I didn't enjoyed it. I had no intention of actually meeting them, but I contacted a lot of them (probably well over 60). I chatted as if I were a client, and the way we communicated turned me on. I did my best to drag out the conversations.

I would lay down on my stomach and rub my dick against my mattress during these exchanges and ended up having an orgasm. Despite feeling disgusted with myself, I did it again a week later and had three orgasms—with ejaculation—in the span of half a day. After that, I felt completely drained. I’ve gotten back into working out and improved my lifestyle, and I don’t really feel that "abnormal" horniness anymore.

But it’s been almost a month since that happened, and I no longer get morning erections; I’ve lost all sexual arousal. Even when I come across something stimulating—like reading something sexual or stumbling upon videos on Reddit or soft porn content on social media—I only get a very weak, limp erection. I’ve tried watching porn, but still nothing—it stays completely limp. It scares me because I’ve never had these issues before; it used to take very little to get me fully bricked up. I think this was triggered by the whole escort thing.

I blame myself so much for doing it. I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on what is currently happening, as well as what I can do to remedy the situation, because I am starting to lose hope.

Thank you.

Incoming first-year — how is uOttawa really? (CS + general)

Hi everyone, I’m an incoming first-year considering Computer Science at uOttawa (INTERNATIONAL STUDENT) and wanted some honest insight. How is the CS program? Is uOttawa worth it in 2026 for tech/CS? How are co-op/internship opportunities? What’s the workload and work–life balance like?

Anyone is welcome to share their experience too. Any honest thoughts would really help

Thanks!

Don't know if I should accept WHU bachelor offer. Any insight ?

Hello so to be quick I got an offer for the WHU bachelor (with a good scholarship) as an International Student. I don't speak german but I will sure work my best it to be at least B2 by the time I graduate or take a gap year before 3rd year to reach B2/C1. My parents kinda think a Business degree is useless and I should go for an econ/cs or engineering bachelor as it opens more doors.

The program requires 2 mandatory internships so by the time I graduate I will sure have some good experiences.

I plan to either do a MIM in France (HEC, ESSEC) as I'm fluent in French or stay in Germany to do a MIM. My main goal is to land a job after my studies before going back home.

The main issue is that I'm scared to not be able to socialise with the people there due to the fact that I don't speak German and It will probably be hard to network and get some good internships compared to other people

What do you guys think of WHU and the opportunities I can get?

What are some sources to get historical market cap data?

I am looking for a RANKING of historical daily market cap of all companies (US only would be fine too).

I can find the market cap history per company but I need a rank of at least the top 5.

Any idea from where I can source this data?

[Acne] is it normal that my skin tingle a bit when i'm applying my cream

Hello, my doctor prescribed me for my acne the following products:

-Differine (adapalene 0.1%) (night)

-Topicrem AC Purifying Cleansing Gel (morning and night)

-Topicrem AC Control Balancing Care (morning)

Doxycycline (night)

My issue is that after around 3 days my face started to tingle a lot whenever i'm applying any of the cream and the gel too but goes away a few seconds after i'm done. Does that mean the product is working well or is that not supposed to happen.

Do you have tips to solve that or at least get better at using sub and not running out ?

Carry on lost, then found but damaged. Can i get any reparation ?

Edit : Company is Ethiopian Airlines

A week ago, I (M18) flew from Hong Kong to Burkina Faso with a layover in Addis Ababa. After boarding (I was one of the first to board), I realized I had forgotten my carry-on at the gate A flight attendant allowed me to go back, but at the gate an agent refused to let me take it. He told me they would put it with the checked luggage because the plane was full, even though I had seen empty space onboard. They made it clear that I wouldn't get in if I stepped beyond the barrier

I asked for a baggage tag but by that time everyone was inside. He only took a picture of my boarding pass and told me the bag would be waiting at my final destination.

When I arrived in Burkina Faso, the bag was missing and the airport lost and found couldn’t help me since I had no tag or reference number. Yesterday, a friend checked the lost and found (at the Hong Kong airport) and found my carry-on there. That mean that the agent I talked too didn't put my carry-on on my flight and didn't put it in the next flight.

My friend brought it back to me, but my newly prescribed glasses from China were broken inside.

Am I the one at fault ?

Is there any way I can get a compensation for it ?

Thanks for reading.
