Outgrown

I'm a 18 girl, but I feel like I'm carrying the weight of someone who probably grew up way too fast. Life forced me to take a sharp turn unfortunately, I had to deal with priorities and just drop all the crap. That's why today I have zero tolerance for people my own age. I'm so over the games, the back-and-forth, chronic indecision, and all those maybes that just drain your energy. When it comes to relationships or anything romantic, the absolute most I'm looking for is a casual one-night fling. Other than that, I'm tapped out. Whenever I see people acting like... my age, I just look away, it feels like babysitting, and I'm exhausted by it. I'm not really interested in having close friends or a relationship beyond making casual small talk every now and then. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people who adore me, and I like them too, but I just don't care. I don't have the bandwidth.

A few months ago, I switched to homeschooling, and the thought of jumping back into traditional school drama, all the fakeness, petty rivalry, gossip, and empty chatter, is just unbearable to me. I don't feel lonely at all. Honestly, it's the exact opposite. I felt terribly alone when I was surrounded by people, I felt like I was living behind glass, like I was never really myself.

I just want to get my projects off the ground, put my skills to work, protect my family's health, and cherish my beautiful cat. I already know who I want to build my future with, and that's enough for me.

Yet, paradoxically, I'm not some reclusive loner. I'm super charismatic, bubbly, sociable, and outgoing. People like me, I make friends easily, and I know how the world works. But I'm just so disillusioned. I refuse to waste my time on things with zero substance. Does it just sound like teenage angst? Yet I feel like I already lived through all those phases, the rebellious phase, the alternative phase and blablabla, years ago.

I'm not looking for answers or validation. I'm not really looking for anything. I was just in my head about it and wanted to put it somewhere. At least here, nobody knows me. It doesn't really sound like the kind of person I usually am, and yet.

Ragazza 19 anni. Salute mentale, autolesionismo e droghe. Ask Me Anything!

Ora vado all'università e sto bene.

[18F] grow up being called ugly, is it true?

Lately, people have told me that I just "don't know how to enhance my features". I'm trying to figure out if they are just being polite to spare my feelings, or if there's actually some truth to it.

Also, a lot of people tell me I look younger than my age. Do I actually have a baby face?

Hi, I'm a 18 years girl and have had a skin condition on my back for several years, which also extends to my chest and shoulders in a milder form. I initially assumed it was acne, but I'm starting to doubt that for a few reasons. Most of the spots never develop into pustules, only a few of them ever actually come to a head. I have no blackheads and I don't seem to have whiteheads. My skin isn't rough to the touch. While the area isn't constantly itchy, I've noticed that if I sweat and can't wash it off immediately, it becomes very itchy and uncomfortable.

I am not currently on any medications and have no known medical conditions. I have never tried any treatments or over-the-counter products for this yet. I had no idea what it was and was afraid of accidentally making the condition worse.

P.S. I've ruled out hair products as a cause because I have curly hair and wash it separately to avoid any contact with my back.

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice regarding my 3-month-old Pomeranian puppy.

For the past few days, he has been showing localized itching specifically on a spot on his neck. Upon close inspection, the skin does not appear macroscopically erythematous (no obvious redness), but there are numerous whitish/greyish debris attached to the base of the hair shaft and on the skin, resembling furfuraceous scales or dandruff.

The primary symptom is persistent itching in that specific area, but there are no signs of alopecia or crusty lesions at the moment. For context, he lives indoors with a cat; both have been treated with flea and tick preventatives.

To be clear, I will be taking both of them to the vet as soon as possible for a professional examination.

Thank you to anyone who can provide some insight!

Hi, I'm 18 years old and have had a skin condition on my back for several years, which, in a milder form, also extends to my chest and shoulders. Although I initially thought it was acne, some things don't add up. I should point out that the spots almost never develop into pimples, and my skin isn't rough to the touch. I don't experience any itching, except in rare, localized areas. Since I haven't undergone any treatment or received a definitive diagnosis, I'm attaching some photos for your initial opinion while I wait to see a dermatologist in person.

P.S. I'd rule out a reaction to hair products (like conditioners or oils), as I have curly hair and wash it separately, avoiding contact with the skin on my back.
