I Cast Into A Tree And Actually Catch A Fish - Western PA Adventures - Catch & Cook
I cast into trees probably 99% of the time while fishing. This time I actually catch a fish! Happens pretty early in the video!

This is by far the craziest catch of the year for me. It's something we've all done but this time I actually catch a fish and smoke it up.
Most of the time I love being surrounded by nature... Most of the time...
Little short from the full vid I posted on youtube.
So there is a bit more to the story than the title. My poor little 10 year old baby girl Ash is suspected to have cancer (lymphoma) she stopped eating and got really skinny / lethargic a few days ago so we brought her in and after the testing the prognosis was of course not good. However the vet was nice enough to let us take her home with some pain medication, anti-nausea medication, and steroids to help with her inflamed pancreas. We are of course hopeful she will regain some strength and stay with us longer but we are also pragmatic and expect to let her go in the next few days especially if she does not improve or gets worse. We just wanted her to spend her last bit of time with her family in a comfortable setting.
That being said we are trying to do everything we can to help her get some calories as she was given a feeding tube at the hospital because she would not eat. I have broth for cats and just about every type of soft, wet, and liquid food there is. I am hoping she will take to one but if she is still refusing to eat what are some other options we could try?
She is drinking decently right now (still shaky and drowsy from the meds) so I thought it might be worth trying to mix some broth with the water to at least get some nutrients in her. We also have KMR and I have experience giving sick cats water with an eye dropper if needed.
Obviously if she was getting better we would be keeping her hospitalized but like I said we are just trying to keep her comfortable as fed as possible before her appointment which should hopefully be Tuesday.

Went fishing in a honey hole and was mostly cnr but decided to keep one for a recipe Lemon Garlic Trout.
Basically clean and cook the trout grilled as normal but add a sauce at the end.
3 tbsp butter
3 cloves of garlic chopped finely
half cup of lemon juice
Nice pinch of salt and pepper
Dried Parsley (or fresh just put it in after it cooks)
Combine the butter and garlic and cook at medium low until brown
add seasoning and herbs
add lemon juice and cook until it thickens
pour it over that delicious trout!
I was creek fishing and this lost dog tried to eat every fish I pulled out of the water. She chased them into the water so I had to keep moving to other spots because the fish would get spooked. It was a little annoying but it was nice to have a fishing buddy!
She did not injure any of the fish they were all released safely.

Pretty self explanatory I was trying out some new creeks and a random dog came up to me and kept trying to eat every fish I caught. But I still caught a nice amount of species in this video including the 14 inch Fallfish on the picture.
Caught this guy in straight chocolate milk after about 3 days of rain.
Whether the big one got away or you keep losing lures never give up!
