I keep thinking about taking on the project of building my own guitar, and I dont know if its a fun hobby I could make money off of if I got good at it, or if its going to be an insane money pit and not worth it at all. Anybody who has done this, post your pictures in the comments, and let me know if its something that's worth trying out someday.
I never thought it would, but STATICA has grown on me. I have a basic idea of how to play most of REJOICE, plus the solos from both STATICA and REJOICE are pretty easy to figure out, but has anyone figured out the actual way that STATICA and REJOICE are played on guitar? Its so hard to tell the guitars apart from everything else happening in the song, and all the covers I've seen just don't seem quite right.
I can get the pickups and everything needed to install for $100, so its well worth the price. Is it possible to swap the Modern 8 pickups into my RG8?

Hi, not sure if this is the kind of page that usually gets promoted in this subreddit, but thought I'd give it a shot. Hi, I recently started a TikTok account to post my videos of me playing guitar covers of different songs, and out of the 5 videos I have posted, 3 of them have over 1,000 views. I was just wondering, in the world of social media marketing, how do I popularize my account and become more successful? Is there any tips anyone has on how to use hashtags better or expose my videos to the right audience? Thanks in advance.
I have a Nintendo Wii I bought from a thrift store and then modded to get a bunch of games on it. I keep having the idea of making a screen (and a spot for the IR sensor, of course) to make it portable. I have like 2 old tablets that I know of, and I was thinking I could use the screen from one of them to do this, however, I don't know what I need to get in order to be able to hook the Wii up to it, since the Wii has the red/white/yellow cord AV setup. I was thinking I would get an adapter to make it HDMI anyways, so I'd just need to be able to hook up via HDMI. I'm completely fine with tearing one or both of the tablets apart, since I don't use either of them anymore, and I assumed i'd just need to get the screen itself from them anyways. So any advice on how to get this project done would be greatly appreciated. I'll attach a rough drawing I did of the idea I had to this post for any other ideas from you guys. Thanks in advance.
Recently homebrewed a wii, and just wondering what some of the best games on it are. I already have a few, since I had a selection from my childhood that I had to get on it, but just wondering what everyone else's recommendations are.
Has anyone here built a custom portable Wii? I just picked up a black Wii from a thrift store today and modded it... I would like to somehow make it portable, but just curious to see how others have done it.
Hello, I was wanting to finally finish the go kart project i had been working on last year, and I'm not sure what clutch to get for the Predator Ghost 212 engine I have on the kart. I did get a centrifugal clutch that, to my knowledge, was good to work with the exact engine, engagement, etc., but when i had gotten it on, it only took a few minutes of driving for the clutch to fly off the engine (thankfully away from the kart, or i would have had a bad accident). Is it an issue of not fastening the clutch on good enough, or is it the wrong clutch to be using? I put it on correctly and used SOME Loctite on it, although it maybe could have used more Loctite and/or a stronger grade of Loctite. Thanks
Ive tried every way i can. This week ive been doing the first event in the Bike Lovers playlist (because its boosted this week) since it pays $50k + the bonus i get from having a full Bucks Magnet set on my Porsche 919 Street + the extra $8k from getting a perfect Dirty Driving modifier. Ends up being like $82k each time i do the 6 minute and 20 second race. Ive also tried the Maui big tour with the same Bucks Magnet set and Dirty Driving modifier, and it pays over $110k, although it takes like 10 and a half minutes to complete. Idk what the best method is to grind for money, or if im already doing it. Im trying to complete every Legacy Main Stage right now and i need an insane amount of expensive cars in order to finish them. Just wondering what the current meta for money grinding is right now.
I am completely new to airsoft, i picked this gun up at a thrift store for $7.50. Looks like it does not have a magazine. Warning label engraved on the side says it is a Cybergun. I have some questions about this:
What model of gun is this?
Where can I get a magazine for it?
What kind of ammo do i need for it? It says it is a 6mm caliber model.
What does the resale value look like for this? In the event that I don't really enjoy airsoft, I would probably try to sell it for a profit because I got such a good deal on it.

Anybody here ever made a shirt for their cat out of a t-shirt of theirs? I have a bunch of metal band t-shirts, and I really want to make some of the ones that i outgrew into shirts for my little Siamese cat Lennie, since she loves wearing things. All ive seen is that people use sleeves from long sleeve shirts to do this, but has anyone done it with a t-shirt? Obviously i wont be able to fit an entire band logo on the shirt, because Lennie's body is pretty small, but i think i could fit at least most of it on it, and itd be a fun thing to do to put a good use to my old shirts instead of donating/selling them.
I just realized yesterday that even after transferring my cars from the crew 2 to motorfest once, they still continue to carry over to motorfest if i keep getting more cars in 2. I have things like the DeLorean Rad Edition, and some other free cars, but does anyone know of all free cars i can still get in TC2?
I'm a guitar player. I saw Whiplash, loved it. I got partway through Bohemian Rhapsody and had to do some other things, but i loved it from what i did watch and i still have yet to finish it. Does anyone have any recommendations on any other music-related movies, or musician biopics?

Me and a few other dudes who play instruments have gotten together and we're kind of in the weird gray area where we're technically a band, but we haven't played any gigs or anything yet, just practiced. We're all high school-age (2 graduated this past May, me and another guy are going to be seniors this year, and the other dude will be in 11th grade this year), and we are kind of at a loss for what we should do right now.
We're in the central Minnesota area, so we were about to sign up for the Amplify Music Contest in Perham, MN, but we can't because not all of us are 18 yet. That being said, does anyone here know of any music events we are able to participate in in our area or close to our area? We're a metal band btw. If anyone knows of any, please let me know. Or if anyone has any tips on how to do this whole band thing, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Theres prolly gonna be people that agree with me on this anyways, but I think what most people don't understand is that St. Anger came out when nu-metal was at its peak, and Metallica needed a sound to make themselves sound slightly rough around the edges to fit in with a lot of the bands in the genre. That included making their guitar tones have a more muddy, grungy feel, and replacing Lars' snare drum with a large metal colander from Walmart. I honestly like the sound, it gives the album a unique feel.
Hello, I have a 2014 Fiesta that I'd like to get a new touchscreen stereo for. Anyone know of any that work good in it? My fiesta has the base model radio in it, and I'd preferably like to get a stereo that has Android Auto and preferably has a little more processing power (so it doesn't lag a ton or take 5 million years to load), if possible. Anyone that knows of some good ones for like $200-$350, I'd appreciate your input. Thanks
I have a Line 6 Pod Go running through a Boss Katana Gen 3 50-Watt right now, and mostly play metal... is it worth it to get Bias X, and run it through an FRFR speaker? I don't know how good it is or how good the tones are on it. But I have seen that YouTube creators like Sightline Guitar use PG Bias, and just curious if its worth the money, since I do already have an audio interface to run the whole setup.
Another question. Anyone ever tried vinyl wrapping a guitar? And if so, did it turn out well? Im thinking about wrapping the neck on my Ibanez RG8 black to match the body and front of the headstock.
