Broke my heart and accidentally made me join this subreddit🌹
I am traveling in a local train right now, so I thought maybe I should share with you all why I joined this subreddit as a non-medico. And I know there might be many non-medicos here. After all, how is it possible that I am the only low-life here? Maybe or maybe not.
So, 3 years ago, I met a guy who hid the fact from me that he was a doctor for a solid week.
When I asked him what he was doing, he said he was doing a fellowship in oncotherapeutics.
A week later, when I asked him what he had done previously, he said MBBS, but “I am not a real doctor.”
Later, I found out that he had done an MD in Pharmacology, to which I reacted, “Wow.” And he said that in the medical field, he was Tier 3: first are real doctors, second are women who take Pharmacology, and third are men in Pharmacology.
Continuing with this, he never used “Dr.” in front of his name. After a year, he dumped me to start a singing career, I guess, because according to him, that’s what he was born to do.
Now I know that he is doing his residency in Manipal and is happy.
Thanks to this sub and him, I have elite ball knowledge: radiology is better than pharmacology, and residency is pursued after a singing career.
