Hello, I don’t understand. Is there anything I can do?

I’m wondering if I should talk to my brother’s priest about this?
Sorry if this isn’t allowed. I’m not religious, but my brother is converting to Orthodoxy. I don’t care that he’s religious, it’s more that ever since he started following Orthodoxy, he’s been lacking hygiene. I’m not trying to embarrass him or disrespect his faith.

My dad fights with him about it a lot. This is actually my first time seeing him in person in a year because I was away for college. From what I know about the religion, it doesn’t stop you from showering, washing your clothes, or brushing your teeth.

I got his perspective on why he doesn’t wash the stains out of his clothes and why he wears the same few outfits. At first I thought it was just teenage rebellion and not wanting to listen to our dad. But he says it’s because he follows his religion deeply, wants to be humble, and doesn’t want to worry about worldly things.

I’m not saying he needs trendy clothes, or even more than a few outfits, but at least washing them once a week would help. My dad was arguing with him because he refused to get new pants for graduation even when we offered to pay for them.

My dad also isn’t the most patient person and doesn’t always say things nicely, so I think that makes it worse. I’m mainly just worried about my brother’s well-being and discipline, especially since he’s planning to join the military. He was inspired by one of his priests to go. I’m wondering if I should talk to his priest about this?

Should I trust my roommates to turn in the wifi router?

TL;DR: My roommates want the Wi-Fi to stay in my name even after I leave, despite being late on payments and never taking over the account even though I gave them all the information to do so.

They want the Wi-Fi to stay on until they leave because I leave earlier than them. So, they have to turn it in before they leave unless I’ll get charged for the router. They often don’t contribute any household items much. Also, they’re usually late on the Wi-Fi bill. It’s quite simple to just log into the account and add their names. I gave them all the information, but they never do it and just send the money directly to me. I could have gotten the Wi-Fi myself since I have data and can also go to the university for Wi-Fi. But they said they were too busy to get Wi-Fi for themselves, so I’m the account holder.

For example, the roommate I share a bathroom with has only bought toilet paper once, and it was a 4-pack. She also has never cleaned the bathroom. She would do her hair by the sink and get it all over there. I just waited for two weeks, and it still wasn’t off. I just cleaned it myself. She has a maid back home, so I guess she’s not used to cleaning up after herself. She didn’t even know how to use a washer.

They rarely buy paper towels and water bottles. I just put the water bottles in my room and let them get it on their own. I also started using reusable towels instead. Other appliances, like our microwave and table, broke, but they didn’t even pitch in to buy a new one. I had to do it all on my own.

Dishes are another issue. One time, they left their dishes out for a week and a half. They often leave them there for days. God forbid though I leave mine for a day or two, they lecture in the GC to pick up after yourself. I often end up cleaning their dishes because then we would have none. They often leave food out too and I wonder how they don’t get food poisoning.
