Went to Fogo de Chao last week in SF and we did not have 16 diff meats come around, more like 3-4 and no grilled pineapple. Inquiring bc my friend said they had all that come around to them at Fogo in South Bay…perhaps we didnt order the right “level”? (I didnt order or look at the menu, but am bummed after hearing about this pineapple number which sounds delish!)

Another question - any reviews of their all day HH menu which sounds amaze? Im more of a seafoody than a carnivore, but several items sound fun…and filling?

Would love a recommendation for a vegetarian or pescatarian cooking class in English in either Corfu (preferably) or Athens. Ideally, a class in someone’s home (vs cooking school/establishment or touristy activity), but not mandatory! Thanks in advance for your vetted experiences!

Hello so I got to Millbrae BART Station by bus from SFO. Instead of entering Caltrain, I accidentally tagged into BART and entered platform before realizing my mistake.

Agent at station gave me a sticker for like a free BART entry (?) and opened the door for me to Caltrain Station.
I asked if I should tag out of BART so
my tag-in at same location would cancel out? He said No, I only get charged when I tag out.

Is this correct? I think Caltrain works differently, right? Like if you dont tag out they automatically charge you $7.75 or some such as a fixed amount … or whatever the fare is from tag-in to end of line?

Am arriving/parking at Millbrae Parking Garage Tues around 5p and picking up my car Wedn around 5 or 6p. Will BaRT into SFO and back.

Can someone please clarify with confidence - do I need to buy a Tues AND Wedn pss or just Wedn?
This is for today so appreciate any quick responses! If it’s a 2day pass I may change course!

UPDATE: I found a BART Customer Svce number and they confirmed that I need to pay for Tues & Wedn. The hours enforcement is for single day use only, if that makes sense. The overnighter is the killa killa.

So I’m watching the episode of Titans with Chef Avishar Barua. He made chickpea fried spinach (aka pakoda) with chutney. When it was revealed he was Chef A, Judge Cohen looked so surprised. I mean, really? She had to have known the moment she saw the dish, who made what (his opponent was Brooke). In any case, her look of surprise gave me a good laugh. Anyone else? 😂

10yo girl visiting and enjoys all sweets. She has mostly eaten standard items like cookies, cake, ice cream, donuts, brownies…I’m not sure she she would appreciate Arsicault, Parachute, even Neigjbor Bakehouse. I think she would love Magic Donut in PH. What are some other relatable options for her (besides Ghiradelli)? I have not tried UDessert or any of the Asian ice cream toast type places. Maybe hit one of those? She wouldnt know what to do with flavors like black sesame, matcha, hojicha, etc.

At the risk of getting maimed…every now and then I need like 1-2TB of mayo or mustard (not the neon yellow kind). Can anyone point me to a food establishment that keeps those packets out such that I can grab like 5-6 at once? I would do this like 2-3x/year and I’ll buy a sandwich or something, too, not to worry!!! <ducking for cover>

Im not sure I understand the point of this article. Am I supposed to feel bad for someone making $500k/yr who is now #struggling to survive(?!?!) bc they can’t find a job? Bruh, who asked you to create a lifestyle as if this would
persist (perhaps even increase) for life?

(Btw, I made much less in Bay Area tech and when I got laid off at 50yo, I embraced sporadic contract work and am quite enjoying a cushy retirement life whether permanent or just weathering the job storm. No need to rethink my lifestyle or pack up and move to rural Washington. Life afforded me all these years to save diligently such that I have a safety net.)

Same people who had no issue #disrupting on blue collar industries, eg cab drivers, as part of their gold rush birthright … blue collar workers who quite literally dont have the same set of options nor safety nets unlikely due to lack of trying.

I like to get one crispy taco at Chipotle. A little brown rice, beans, and peppers/onions. Then EVERYTHING else (all salsas, corn, cheese, etc.) except lettuce and i can skip sour cream if needed.

My sis says I should in that case just get the kids meal with “all the salsas on the side”. Would that indeed get me all my taco fixins? I am not even sure my Chipotle would give me all the salsas for free.

Athens: Here we will be tourists for 2 full days. Any recos for sites to skip vs must-do? We are not museum types, but happy to scan historic sites, etc. Also any recos for casual but great places to eat?

Rhetorical question, but…do we think sharing when your dish reminds you of a loved one who has passed away influences the judge’s decision? I get the emotional “entertainment” appeal, but it seems more dishes evoke the spirits & memories than dont on this show!
