Favorite 1-turn max damage setups?

Been playing around in the PR version for Android.

Never occurred to me that you could put a dragon horn on everyone in your party (except Umaro) and use Quetzalli to scoop them all up for a jump attack.

With the dragon horn (even without the Dragoon boots) they all hit at least twice, sometimes 4 times each.

This makes this potentially even more devastating than the Genji Glove/Master Scroll combo. Potentially 16 hits in one move and the jump attacks are pretty powerful.

I'm in my mid 40s for levels with most characters and in the dragon forest, even the Tyrannosaur pincer attack rarely uses more than the first two characters to drop before the battle is over. The Brachiosoar usually takes up to the third or fourth drop but it still works.

Not easier than the Genji glove trick but definitely more fun for me watching the crew pound the hell out of major enemies.

This also works well in the first stage of the battle with Kefka if you set it up right and don't lose one of your members with the dragon horn

How to get the Dragons Den on Android?

I know the bonus Dragons Den isn't available on the Pixel Remaster for Android. Are there any other ways of getting this content on Android without spending a ton of cash?

Making color ID labels for Inventory?

I manage a medium sized locally owned manufacturing facility.

We are looking for reasonably easy ways to produce color inventory labels. Meaning, a color picture of the inventory item. Screws, nuts, hinges, etc.

I know I can do this with Avery label software online and print on a color laser, that's what I'm currently doing.

However I would prefer a way to print a single label if needed and I'm looking for the quickest way to go from "photo/jpg" to printed label.

We do not need a high volume of labels daily but I do need a good quality resolution similar to what a laser can do.

Any suggestions on label making software and label printers?

Label size ideally is 4" wide (to make 4x2, 4x4, 4x6 labels)

The pixel remaster soundtrack is killer!

I just downloaded whatever version of the pixel remaster you get off the Google Play store and was blown away by the soundtrack.

The music is true to the original but has some really nice touches. The jazzy saxophone for Narshe, the flute sound for most towns, and the Australian vibe added to the Veldt are my favorites right now.

1st gen S&W Shield question

I have the opportunity to pick up a first gen Shield 9mm in good shape for about $250.

I've been considering going with a Ruger Security 9 compact or a current gen Shield. My purpose is concealed carry specifically.

I realize much of this comes down to capacity since the original Shield is a single stack and the newer ones have much better capacity.

Aside from that, is the original Shield a good carry?

Best 9mm CCW pistol + Rifle combination on a budget?

I'm eyeballing getting a nice compact carry size 9mm handgun along with a 9mm PCC rifle that would use the same magazines. I am a little more familiar with the handguns available but I know very little about the rifles.

Can anyone help me identify some good rifle choices?

I believe the Ruger RXM would be a good choice here despite being a touch bigger than some compacts since it used a common Glock style magazine and the price of the gun is not too bad.

Magazines will also be a lot more affordable here.

What about the Ruger Security 9? That's my next choice for CCW. Are there any PCC that would use the Security 9 magazine?

Are there any other good combinations I should consider on a budget? Trying to keep the cost of the handgun and rifle together at $800-1k

Note; my goal with the PCC is mostly range use and to teach my teenage kids how to shoot a rifle. I would stick with basic iron sights and probably not trick it out with addons.

Question about Security 9 Compact, Taurus G3C, Beretta PX4 Compact.

I am taking my ccw class in July and will use my Beretta 96 for the class, which is my first handgun.

I am considering a 9mm compact to buy for concealed carry.

My questions are mostly related to the trigger and safety.

I am quite happy with the SA/DA trigger of the Beretta 96 so I like what I see in the Storm Compact. I feel like the first DA pull will help me avoid a ND while I'm getting accustomed to carrying something with a round loaded But that comes at a drastically higher price on the Storm Compact.

I like the Ruger Security 9 and the Taurus G3C pricing, they both seem to be a good fit for size and capacity. Internally they are different, the Taurus is a restrike capable striker fired, and the Ruger is a hammer fired. Does this mean both of these guns should be carried cocked and locked?

Are there any smaller form factor 9mm that are DA/SA that I should consider? I really like the idea of being able to carry uncocked, with a DA trigger, in a semi auto.

Dreaming about your childhood house?

I was fortunate although dirt poor as a kid back in the early-mid 80s. My parents managed to find this titanic sized farmhouse (6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms) for rent. We only lived in it a couple years because it was in REALLY bad condition.

I'm pretty sure it was built before it had electricity and had it retrofit in, and there was no heat/HVAC.

As an only-child, in a giant old house out in the boonies, it was AWESOME despite not having HVAC. I had no idea we were as poor as we were.

I dream of that house A LOT. I'm 48 now. In my dreams I end up buying this old house to make it home again but it's always much larger in my dreams than it was in reality.

In my dreams I end up exploring places in the house I didn't find as a child and it's always a different house, so it's always endless adventure and sometimes really f'n creepy because it's so old and dilapidated

How do we know who they are in dreams?

Ever have a dream where a famous person shows up in it, and you're excited about it. But, they don't look anything like the famous person and the thing people call them isnt the famous persons name......but it's still that famous person for some reason.

A decade ago I dreamed that Benjamin Netanyahu showed up at church (which, by the way, was happening on the deck of a big swimming pool).

He didn't look like Bibi, he looked like old comedian George Burns (glasses and all), and everyone was calling him Monica.

Yes, Monica.

But somehow, that was still Benjamin Netanyahu.

I don't get it

Beretta grips, rosewood. First attempt.

Had a day recently that I just needed some sawdust therapy so I gave wood grips a shot for my old Beretta.

They don't look anything like what a pro would do and I did it mostly for fun but they definitely feel nice in the hand.

Wood is bubinga, aka African rosewood. Finish is tung oil.

But for my purpose of just having fun,

Best cinemas?

It's been 15 years since I've gone to a cinema but we have a kid birthday soon and they're going to want to go to a movie. I have no idea which cinemas around are worth going to anymore.

Last time I went to a cinema it was a complete biohazard of spilled soda and popcorn schmoo in the seats.

Bonus points if it has an arcade in it, or very near by.

Anyone else dream about roller coasters and other theme park rides?

Last night I had this insanely vivid dream about a massive ferris wheel type ride that utterly TOWERED above a beautiful city that looked like a huge, sprawling walled castle.

On the ride, all the cars sorta faced outward almost like a big sunflower. The cars literally looked like a cupped flower and they rotated some so you'd end up upside down at times.... A thousand feet in the air lol

The ride was the perfect blend of utterly terrifying and absolutely beautiful. And I didn't have to pay admission.

Of course as they unloaded the ride, they stopped me at the peak and upside down. I decided to take advantage of the view and tried to snap a pic and of course dropped my phone.

Painting old Trijicon sights

My old Beretta 96 has Trijicon sights that have degraded from age (seemingly the original 1995 sights that came on the gun). They no longer glow and the color is brownish. Cleaning them changes nothing.

I don't really need to relamp this, I believe Trijicon offers it but I am not likely to be using this gun at night.

Any particular reason I couldn't simply paint the glass cover on these with some Testors or a colored epoxy? Something like a day-glo orange or green?

OWB holster for big guys, Beretta 92/96

I'm looking for a reasonably priced holster OWB for a Beretta 92/96. Something in the $50 range. I need the holster mainly for the ccw training I'm signed up for. I'm also a rather large guy around the middle. Blame it on the pasta since the Beretta is Italian.

This won't be my usual ccw which is why I'm not wanting to spend $150+ on it. I'll be getting something smaller to carry but the 96 will be what I'm talking to the training.

I have a cheap Nylon fabric type off eBay but I really do not care for how the rear sights snag on it when drawing.

My Beretta 96 is my first handgun. First thing I did was watch videos on cleaning it. It was already pretty clean thankfully.

I've put about 150 rounds through but it's going to sit for weeks on end between practice at the range with my current work schedule.

I don't think 40s&w are considered dirty rounds like some rimfire 22lr and such, but if you're just shooting occasionally, how often do you suggest to clean these? Meaning, swab out the barrel, clean the slides and oil them?

So, is this an ENFP thing or just my own quirk? I see analogies and metaphor everywhere I go and it's gotten me into trouble trying to use them in conversation, because many people don't see the how they work, and end up taking offense.

For example, where I work, you have a lot of cultures represented. My city is highly multicultural and English is our common language but we have occasional conflict over communication and cultural differences. Especially among "similar but different" cultures (such as people from the Northeast US mixing with Southern US....same language, very different ways of seeing the world).

In my eyes I see this as the same situation as dealing with cats. Cats see the world totally different from humans.

My cat will flop on its back and show me her belly. When a dog does that, it means "rub my belly". When my cat does that, it means "I trust you enough to expose my belly but you better as hell not touch it or l will make you bleed".

Two different ways of understanding communication, two very different possible outcomes.

But..... I cannot dare use that analogy. Many people simply don't seem to grasp analogy and metaphor.

Inevitably, someone will say "you compared me to your cat, you expect me to roll over and beg for a belly rub like a dog?"

But. I see them everywhere. I see patters, similarities, teachable things.

I'm taking my 99 Suburban 1500 to the shop soon for a trans rebuild. This shop sounded like they knew what they were talking about regarding common fail points. My 2nd gear slips terribly and I have no 4th gear.

So I have 3 questions.

  1. They said they don't usually change the cooler out. I'm worried that trash in the old radiator might cause issues with the new transmission. My truck does not have the original radiator, but the one in it is about 14 years old....but pretty clean. I flush the coolant every couple of years (clean and green). Should I insist on having an aftermarket cooler put in to keep old clutch material and shit out of the new transmission and tc?

  2. Should I insist on a new Sonnax sunshell? They said they typically don't replace it unless it's damaged and from what I understand this is a common fail point. I occasionally tow a medium sized camper and bass boat but never anything really heavy.

  3. Should I stick with the stock lockup tc in a Suburban?

48(m) speaking here.

How do my fellow ENFP deal with long term stress and grief when life just gets difficult from multiple angles and life is full of personal letdowns, betrayals, disappointments? Meaning..... years of adversity that have you questioning your capabilities, your judgement, your ability to provide for your family, your ability to keep up? You feel unappreciated, unwanted, insufficient?

When I was younger I would just "fish it off" (meaning, literally go plan a fishing/camping/beach trip). I would come back with mental clarity Now, that sort of thing just makes me even more tired.

I'm not so much asking how you solved this (far too complex for a reddit post). I'm asking how your personality adapted to the situation, and how it affected your behavior, your inner thoughts, your daily behavior patterns, and the way you see the world.

Did you basically live the shadow-verision of yourself that whole time (meaning, more cynical, less approachable, more suspicious of people, much higher walls and tougher boundaries than usual)?

Yes, I am going through some very hard things that are largely out of my hands to control, and my responsibilities only increase as life goes on.

In case you are concerned, I do thankfully have help. I have a skilled pastor always available, a counselor, and a handful of trusted friends I can always call if needed. I also have a genuinely good boss at work that is a rockstar of a human being.

They are the greatest people walking this earth as far as I am concerned....... but having some perspective on how my fellow ENFP have adapted to such adversity might be helpful to hear.

Regarding single action revolvers, is it generally true that you should NOT have a round under the hammer while carrying, in order to avoid an nd? Basically having 5 rounds in a 6 shot, with the empty round under the hammer.

I do not own one, but am considering getting one just for range fun, something like one of the Ruger Wrangler types.

If this is not true of all single actions how do I know the difference?
