Ok folks. I'm 48(m), and I've worked really hard over the past 6 years to change, and had some success, but I'm fat as ever and need to drop a solid 90lbs.

My issue is that I am always insanely hungry in the evenings and that's when we also have our family meal.

I eat a nice, satisfying breakfast and lunch. I don't hunger much during the day especially at work. But as soon as I am around temptation the hunger kicks in and I suddenly just don't give a shit anymore, especially for evening meals.

I started exercising about 6 years ago lifting weights and packed on some nice muscle in the process but didn't really lose any body fat.

I know you can't out-exercise a shit diet but I still do it to keep at least some level of fitness.

How do y'all tame the evening hangry? Why is it that I just suddenly don't give a damn when I am home? Its not that I lack feeling full. It's that I feel compelled to just eat a ton. It also doesn't help that I'm a pretty good cook.

I do work a modestly stressful job as a factory plant manager but it's not THAT stressful and certainly less stressful than when I worked for grocery stores, so I don't think it's just stress itself.

I'm open to ideas here. Thoughts?

The past couple weeks my S22U won't stay locked in my pocket. I've been pocket texting and dialing people all week, or I find text message drafts a mile long of random gibberish that never sent.

Today I was walking on the beach and every few minutes I heard my speaker playing a YouTube video, or a random commercial from a website on Chrome , or playing my podcasts. The ONLY way I got it to stop was to restart the phone and simply not unlock it that first time.

I was NOT using any Bluetooth "safe" devices and actually had Bluetooth turned completely off because I knew this was going to happen and I usually keep my Garmin watch connected.

It did not do this shit before and now it's absolutely insufferable.

Has there been some update somewhere that has probably changed lock settings or something?

Phone was originally Verizon, now Google Fi, on One IU8.0. American.

Recently the house next door to me was sold to a company of some sort that's using it as a halfway house or something for adults with various issues. It's not government owned. Ive already had residents knocking on my door (two days into them moving in!) asking to use my phone to call for a ride to get them out of the house because they were afraid for their own safety due to the OTHER people living in it. (Yes I did call the police to do a wellness check for this person, the tenant was very polite and clearly unhappy with their situation, and did get relocated).

Let me say first and foremost that I am sympathetic to people who are trying their best to survive and I intend to be a good neighbor to them, but given the nature of how this has already gotten strange I think I need to consider more security options.

I have kids whom I've already given a good lesson to about safety, kindness, and awareness.........but being single income I cannot throw a huge amount of money at anything advanced.

Our yards aren't large, approx 1/4 acre total, and they can see straight into our side bedroom and bathroom windows. We've always kept blackout shades up on those anyway.

Should I be putting up recorded video monitoring first, or alarms? I'm not in a position to throw $1500 at this, but I am reasonably skilled enough to run network cable and install my own stuff if needed. It's just that the security market technology is changing so fast that my current knowledge is rather outdated.

All my life people have misunderstood me and labeled me as naive even though I was almost always privvy to whatever they thought I wasn't. I don't know if this is an ENFP thing or something about how I grew up.

Classic example. When people try to stir drama with me by dropping passive aggressive comments, I rarely engage them but I recognize them. If it's an insult, I usually say "yeah that sometimes is true" or "well I haven't had my coffee yet" when I fully understand they are ragebaiting me. I simply refuse to play the game. They often get quietly outraged and assume I was missing the hints that they were being hostile.

I've also had plenty of times where people try to draw me into interpersonal squabbles, which again I REFUSE to take part in unless it's a very clearcut right and wrong. You get toxic people that try to drag you into it and when you refuse to play along, you get labeled as "clueless".

The whole time, I am fully aware of what's going on but choose not to play in the drama.

Boy, would I enjoy it if I did though. There are times these people just seem like they need an attitude adjustment and I choose not to let the rage monster out, because when I let it out, I can get exceptionally harsh (vocally, not physically, I am not much of a melee fighter lol)

I've had the same 99 Suburban since 2014 and love this old thing, AC still blows cold.

The fan blower is awful. It's relatively new (couple years) and the previous one was about the same. The switch itself is brand new. The resistor thing (behind the glove box) is only a few years old.

The evaporator core is brand new, I replaced it myself over the winter. The air comes out ice cold. Just, very weakly

I'm at a loss as to the issue. I know there's probably some loss to possible leaks up in the dash, but the fan itself doesn't sound like it's spooling up full rpm.

Sometimes it doesn't come on at all.

Thoughts?

Can this fan just be re-wired with an aftermarket control knob and upgraded wiring? Would I need a relay of some sort here?

I have an SP80 12BVB2A2707 that has the worst priming mechanism I've ever seen. It's a little bulb with a hole it in that apparently just uses air pressure from you pressing it to prime up for a cold start.

The problem is that they don't work worth a damn as it ages. There's a gasket behind the primer that does a terrible job sealing up and you don't really get any air pressure even with brand new parts.

Are there any workarounds or mods that can be done to fix this junk? I'm due up for rebuilding it yet again and before I keep buying shit engineering I wanted to see if anyone had any good mod ideas here to make this thing actually prime well

This game has so many killer tunes.

Battle #2 (the first boss battle theme) is my favorite followed closely by the Red Barons, but there's so many more fantastic themes here.

The big cave theme and sylph cave theme are also perfect, mysterious cave music.

My LEAST favorite is the Dwarf Castle theme, I have to turn the volume all the way down there. It sounds awful to me and turns into a parasite earworm lol.

The Lunar surface theme is really bizarre. It just sounds like rat farts.

My high school (class of 96) was an architectural mess. Built in the early 70, added onto every 10 years with vastly different floorplans and styling made it a total mindfuck maze for freshmen and sophomores.

To this day I still dream about wandering around that place lost as hell, not being able to find my math or literature room, knowing I was MONTHS behind schedule on my work and vastly beyond the number of allowed missed days. Oh, and also late for work because I forgot to tell my job I was still in high school.

And I can't find my locker, and it didn't matter, because I didn't remember the lock combination.

Sometimes it's college it's happening in, but usually high school.

I love Bustelo. My moka pot is an Italian made Ilsa.

I've always found Bustelo to be a touch too fine to get a consistent brew. Usually I have two options: Brew it ridiculously slow, or just get a half-brew because it starts boiling and sputtering halfway through because of the pressure buildup in the boiler.

I don't currently have a grinder and probably won't get one any time soon since I can still get a decent brew with Bustelo if I'm CAREFUL to not overheat it, but I wondered if anyone else had the same experience.

Been playing around in the PR version for Android.

Never occurred to me that you could put a dragon horn on everyone in your party (except Umaro) and use Quetzalli to scoop them all up for a jump attack.

With the dragon horn (even without the Dragoon boots) they all hit at least twice, sometimes 4 times each.

This makes this potentially even more devastating than the Genji Glove/Master Scroll combo. Potentially 16 hits in one move and the jump attacks are pretty powerful.

I'm in my mid 40s for levels with most characters and in the dragon forest, even the Tyrannosaur pincer attack rarely uses more than the first two characters to drop before the battle is over. The Brachiosoar usually takes up to the third or fourth drop but it still works.

Not easier than the Genji glove trick but definitely more fun for me watching the crew pound the hell out of major enemies.

This also works well in the first stage of the battle with Kefka if you set it up right and don't lose one of your members with the dragon horn

I know the bonus Dragons Den isn't available on the Pixel Remaster for Android. Are there any other ways of getting this content on Android without spending a ton of cash?

I manage a medium sized locally owned manufacturing facility.

We are looking for reasonably easy ways to produce color inventory labels. Meaning, a color picture of the inventory item. Screws, nuts, hinges, etc.

I know I can do this with Avery label software online and print on a color laser, that's what I'm currently doing.

However I would prefer a way to print a single label if needed and I'm looking for the quickest way to go from "photo/jpg" to printed label.

We do not need a high volume of labels daily but I do need a good quality resolution similar to what a laser can do.

Any suggestions on label making software and label printers?

Label size ideally is 4" wide (to make 4x2, 4x4, 4x6 labels)

I just downloaded whatever version of the pixel remaster you get off the Google Play store and was blown away by the soundtrack.

The music is true to the original but has some really nice touches. The jazzy saxophone for Narshe, the flute sound for most towns, and the Australian vibe added to the Veldt are my favorites right now.

I have the opportunity to pick up a first gen Shield 9mm in good shape for about $250.

I've been considering going with a Ruger Security 9 compact or a current gen Shield. My purpose is concealed carry specifically.

I realize much of this comes down to capacity since the original Shield is a single stack and the newer ones have much better capacity.

Aside from that, is the original Shield a good carry?

I'm eyeballing getting a nice compact carry size 9mm handgun along with a 9mm PCC rifle that would use the same magazines. I am a little more familiar with the handguns available but I know very little about the rifles.

Can anyone help me identify some good rifle choices?

I believe the Ruger RXM would be a good choice here despite being a touch bigger than some compacts since it used a common Glock style magazine and the price of the gun is not too bad.

Magazines will also be a lot more affordable here.

What about the Ruger Security 9? That's my next choice for CCW. Are there any PCC that would use the Security 9 magazine?

Are there any other good combinations I should consider on a budget? Trying to keep the cost of the handgun and rifle together at $800-1k

Note; my goal with the PCC is mostly range use and to teach my teenage kids how to shoot a rifle. I would stick with basic iron sights and probably not trick it out with addons.

I am taking my ccw class in July and will use my Beretta 96 for the class, which is my first handgun.

I am considering a 9mm compact to buy for concealed carry.

My questions are mostly related to the trigger and safety.

I am quite happy with the SA/DA trigger of the Beretta 96 so I like what I see in the Storm Compact. I feel like the first DA pull will help me avoid a ND while I'm getting accustomed to carrying something with a round loaded But that comes at a drastically higher price on the Storm Compact.

I like the Ruger Security 9 and the Taurus G3C pricing, they both seem to be a good fit for size and capacity. Internally they are different, the Taurus is a restrike capable striker fired, and the Ruger is a hammer fired. Does this mean both of these guns should be carried cocked and locked?

Are there any smaller form factor 9mm that are DA/SA that I should consider? I really like the idea of being able to carry uncocked, with a DA trigger, in a semi auto.

I was fortunate although dirt poor as a kid back in the early-mid 80s. My parents managed to find this titanic sized farmhouse (6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms) for rent. We only lived in it a couple years because it was in REALLY bad condition.

I'm pretty sure it was built before it had electricity and had it retrofit in, and there was no heat/HVAC.

As an only-child, in a giant old house out in the boonies, it was AWESOME despite not having HVAC. I had no idea we were as poor as we were.

I dream of that house A LOT. I'm 48 now. In my dreams I end up buying this old house to make it home again but it's always much larger in my dreams than it was in reality.

In my dreams I end up exploring places in the house I didn't find as a child and it's always a different house, so it's always endless adventure and sometimes really f'n creepy because it's so old and dilapidated
