How is the IUI process?

I’m a 25 year old virgin, never been in a relationship, not interested, but I would love to be a mom one day. Hopefully in a few more years. What’s the process like for IUI? How did you pick the sperm donor?

I’m sure I’ll have so many more questions, but I just can’t think of them right now.

No AC

I feel like it should be illegal to make an old broom closet a lab with no working AC. It’s 12pm and already 80°F/26°C in here.

I have a single vent. It’s old and doesn’t work. You step outside my room, it’s a nice 70°F. They won’t do anything about it. And it’s only going to get worse when it gets to be 100°F outside. I guarantee it’ll be that hot in my lab.

I have tiny fan, but it doesn’t do much. I have a tiny lab, no space for a big fan… I’m always miserable and my scrubs are always soaked in sweat.

Will cleaning it up make it look smoother?

Or will more inbetweens do that? I know I could’ve just used the 2D camera for this effect. And only half of this is inbetweened right now.

This is for a map (multi animator project) part. I have 3 parts in this project, but I’m working on boarding and cleaning up the hardest one first since I’ve never animated a turnaround.

I’m on V5
Using a Wacom Mobile Studio Pro/iPad depending on where I am.

Need help switching default tray. HP LaserJet Pro 4001n

I’ve never owned a printer, so I’m not sure what to do. This is for work. I have to manually hit OK for it to print. It just started doing this yesterday when I put fresh paper in it. I want to see if y’all can help me before I have to call IT for what’s probably a very simple fix.

Provider Pet Peeves?

I’ll go first! When the provider brings me a patient 2 minutes before I either go to lunch or am supposed to close for the day.

Before lunch is whatever. I can deal with that. But I don’t have an extra 40-45 minutes to wait for the specimens to clot and spin down because I need to get my pack out lol.

When the patient walks in your lab like the own the place.

Without so much of a “Hello, hi!” Or “I’m here for labs”

Just.. walk in and sit down. And then I ask your DOB and you get all defensive. I need your DOB, lady!

I’ve only been here for 4 months and I already have so many stories.

Do you get patients who complain about everything?

I don’t get them often, and it’s really a select few repeat patients. They’re extra dramatic, they tell me how to do my job, and complain about the little things. (It’s always older, clearly entitled patients)

And I’m not a bad stick. I’ve been told by several patients they could barely feel my sticks.

Had patient just come in for a repeat lab (don’t know why), and she does, “the doctor wants this back tomorrow.” The doctor didn’t put it in as a STAT, so I didn’t draw it as such, and I don’t do the lab work, I just draw labs and send it off. If the doctor wanted it in by tomorrow, she should’ve put it in as STAT. I’m not allowed to change that. (And pt told me as she was walking out of the door)

It’s probably just me, but I’m always like: “Oookay.” Or “I’m sorry.” I don’t really know how else to respond to patients like that.

I don’t know if this is the right flair, but what is this tube for?

I never learned about yellow tops in school. Just blood cultures, light blue, SSTs, green, purple, and grey. What’s the additive in this? What’s it test for? I’ve used almost every tube I have at least once, but I haven’t used this one.

I know this is probably a dumb question, but I rarely give it any attention.

I’ve never seen the “Buy Clip Studio Paint” before. I’ve had EX since 2017, and I recently got the upgrade pass last weekend to update to V5.

I close my app and upgrade it, and my animation timeline is just GONE. I’ve tried clicking “enable” and “disable” and it’s still not there. Restarting my tablet did not help at all. I can open my animations from a couple weeks ago and the timeline is still gone.

I’ve tried reviewing my license but it just endlessly loads. I’m so confused… I did email support about this, but I’m wondering if anyone else has had the same issue

So when I was drawing this patient’s blood, after I switched tubes, this white string-like thing came out of her vein. Is it a parasite? It was a tiger top SST
