As the title said, I am currently looking for help or advice on writing a tactical raid for a short story set in the universe of Half-Life 2. My dad wants me to practice writing in order to prepare me for my upcoming English Composition class in college, and I decided to write yet another short story set in the universe of Half-Life 2. It is about a Resistance rebel squad raiding a Combine Outpost fort in the White Forest in order to acquire weapons to supply the Resistance with. So far I've written that the outpost has guards patrolling around on top of the fort and that there are two Combine Soldiers guarding the entrance. Any ideas or tips to help write out the rest?

Hello there. I'm posting here because I've started to encounter problems with my main Windows 7 PC that I've been having in the past few months. My Windows 7 PC is starting to encounter BSODs (Blue Screens of Death) more frequently and I even started taking pictures of the screen to get the error codes. It's also becoming a lot slow to start, maybe because I've used a USB to boot Linux Mint and Fedora Linux and went into the PC's HDD via those drives (I haven't installed those OSes to my PCs yet). I've taken a lot of screenshots on this PC via GreenShot, and I've started to attempt copying the data off of my PC's main HDD to back it up, but it starts to crash a lot. Also to note that my PC is in a room that has no air condition units so I have to use fans to cool the room and even open the door for air to come in. What's going on? Also to note that just now I had a 0x0000001E BSOD happen on my Windows 7 PC. Almost forgot that the exact version of Windows my main PC is running is Windows 7 Build 7601 Service Pack 1.

So I've been thinking of getting Mewgenics from the Steam Summer Sale, and I've got the money for it. It seems to be a roguelike tactical strategy RPG which is in the same vein as Final Fantasy Tactics and X-COM. I've played a game similar to this genre before named Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, and I liked it so far. I've also touched the PSP version of Final Fantasy Tactics a bit. But... is Mewgenics worth it? I've heard that the randomness in the cats and the classes you can choose from for them sound fun, and the gameplay seems fun too. However, there is no demo that I can play to try to see if this game is for me. I've heard that it can get stale if played for longer, but that's someone else's opinion on it. I need answers. Is this game worth it?

Also to note that I like RPGs, action, FPS, platformers and racing game genres.

As the title says, I really need to study for an American Federal Government exam that's coming this Wednesday, but I'm not doing anything. I finished recording a Zoom class that I plan to look back to take notes from tomorrow, but I'm starting to fear that if I don't pass my final exam, I might go homeless. I really need help on how to get myself to actually study. What should I do? Should I try the Pomodoro technique? WHAT SHOULD I DO!?

As the title said, I accidentally dropped my Nintendo Switch 1 while I was carrying it today very recently, but I ran into a wall while carrying it, and then it dropped making my Switch 1 have to reset. The Joycons broke, but the left one was put back into place. I then tried to pick it up again but this time I had some sort of butterfingers when it slipped and fell again, breaking my Joycons again. My right Joycon still works but it's broken, and now my Switch 1 can't read microSD cards anymore. I can't find the screwdriver to repair my Switch, so how screwed am I? How much will I have to pay for repairs?

So in around two days, ROBLOX will stop allowing cross-game items like gamepasses to be sold in other games like Pls Donate, and there'll be a 10K ROBUX per month limit. I'm hoping to get the 31K (or more?) ROBUX that I need to buy the Headless Horseman when it gets to October. I hope I'm able to pull this off.

As the title said, I want to get through Honorlock and look at my notes during an exam that is coming up. I haven't studied much and I struggle to get information into my head, so I want to use my notes. Problem is, the exam won't let me use my notes and even if I did, Honorlock is going to detect it as cheating and disqualify me. How can I get through and bypass Honorlock so I can use my notes on the exam? I will be using a laptop to do the exam on.
