What is it with monsters in my game being deathly allergic to getting looted
At least they're not drakes

Now I gotta save both myself AND the mage lol.
Argent Succor is kinda hit or miss. Pawns tend to prefer Anodyne and only use it if your health is dangerously low, but by the time they finish casting it you either have used a curative or probably already dead from follow up attack. When they do make it it felt awesome though.
If only holding the Anodyne button would make it lock-on like how enchantment works...

Should sprint attack be included too and add heavy sprint attack? I also realized that archer got the least weapon combo as they don't have any of the normal attack variant.
I'm not talking for DD2 specifically, just a discussion for future games (if we ever get it) while we wait for the DLC.
Monster Hunter Wilds got Seikrets, a bird-raptor like mount who can't fly but can glide (and climb/traverse Seikret only route but nevermind that). In Final Fantasy XV the entire party could rent Chocobos to travel and explore the off-roads easier instead of walking.
Do you think mounts would be a good idea for Dragon's Dogma? I personally think it would be amazing to have (edit: as long as we don't get a lot of big empty spaces in turn) because that means traveling would be easier and backtracking wouldn't feel too much of a chore, plus you won't miss out on encounters unlike if you teleport. Maybe the mount could simply just use horse (pawns get their own horses too! FFXV could do it). I'd even be fine if the mount isn't invincible like in MHWilds and FFXV (but it would be great if you could shoo off and call in your mount again RDR2 style). As for gliding it's not really important, but hypothetically maybe either using mage/sorc skill or using a tool you get from finishing a quest from a tinkerer npc and having to use it from a really high place, say a balista tower, in order to get the wind to push you~.
Or at least just give us horse carts/carriages instead of oxes. How come in a medieval knights vs dragons world horses don't exist lol what's the lore behind that?
So when I join in the fun I lost my bloody mind and something's matter with me
So we know that there are 2 supposed outcomes. One being give up your beloved and become the sovran, but this means they don't get their heart back like how Edmun was in the first game so they're ageless till another arisen defeat the same dragon. The second being defeat the dragon and gain their heart back, so they're back to being a normal human and not ageless anymore.
But when you go off rail and stab yourself with the dragon, it was shown that the dragon's heart cracked and both the dragon and the arisen plunged into the sea. Does that mean the arisen will forever be heartless with no way of getting their heart back? Well I mean they're 99% dead anyway by the epilogue but still.
Also for the defeating dragon outcome, when they get their heart back, are they now a former arisen and is that why their main pawn is nowhere to be seen at the ceremony because pawns only follow the current arisen and all those highfives meant nothing to them?
I know this is one of scamming trick so I'm skeptical about this. Someone dm-ed me and said his account got hijacked because a user with a similar uname and having my profile pic shared a phishing link to him, and when he got his account back he reported me instead of that guy.
He then gave me this screenshot of email from allegedly reddit, saying I need to contact another person if I don't want my account suspended. So I want to make sure if this is a scam or not because you can't trust anything these days, and to be fair the "support @ reddit . com" on the screenshot looks garbled like it's ai generated.
I remember in DD1 pawns would have a strong reaction if we die, with or without wakestones in our possession, like screaming "no" or "stay with me". I wonder why in DD2 they don't have any lines regarding that, especially when the chatter is an improvement from the first game (imo)
Last griffin took me away when I was exploring south-west of Agamen Island the first time and would've made me walk all the way from Bakbattahl again, but I'm not having any of that.
First I got a bug where he got cloned, and now he wanted to become a stray lol.
I've been enjoying teleporting to my heart's content with the eternal stone on my NG+, but the feeling of excitement when finding a single ferrystone after clearing a dungeon or two is now gone. You gain some, you lose some I guess ^^; I'll probably return to using the normal one in the dlc unless I'm lazy
Whoever on the dev team made straightforward pawns to have this much sass, thank you for your masterpiece.
The first time I got dragonsplague, I really though we were gonna have to fight our own possessed pawn at their strongest when the sickness is terminal. So I just rest up a lot because I wanted to try it out. Got surprise pikachu faced when he turned into a dragon in a cutscene instead and every single npc were dead on the ground lmao.
I'm glad bestiary mod gave something like it. Gonna miss the mod when the dlc dropped.
What I mean is it feels more gamey, like in DD1 the double jump is a true double jump, the dodge roll is so quick to do, and when we run and jump we could shoulder roll when landing from a higher place. Bow also has ridiculous skills like the tenfold arrow where you shoot 10 arrows at the same time in one draw (iirc).
In DD2 the double jump is done by using an explosive to make it a bit more sense but dang it's so hard to control, and for dodge they use sidestep instead (I think it'd still be realistic if they use dodge roll again but maybe not as quick). Archer now can only shoot max 3-5 at a time with the spread shot skill, and the flurry skills are much slower and requires them to draw their bowstring for every arrow shot.
I personally like the more grounded approach, it suits well with the art direction of the game and the physics and ragdoll feel really nice. But of course there are some things that could be improved, for example imo dodge should be available to all vocation but every vocation has different type of dodge (small side step for fighter/warrior, dodge roll for archer/thief, warping for mage/sorc), and stagger is a bit over the top right now and need to be tuned at least for the normal weaker enemies
