Okay, I know he doesn't have energy, so him eating wouldn't actually serve a purpose, but... why can't he have a little snacky-snack with everyone else! Poor little guy, he's been with me for two years and never gets to eat. 😭

I tried to get something official registered for Dragon Con, but it's such short notice, I don't blame them for not replying at all. 🤣
I'm heading to Dragon Con this year with a friend and I'm bringing my 52.2lb deck I had at GenCon! I'll have some extra copies of the (unofficial) card I gave out there and made a second (unofficial) card for Dragon Con!
I have zero clue how this will all actually work out down there - since it's all unofficial, I'll have to find space to set it up. Probably won't do prizes, since I'm sure games will be more drop in/drop out without having a set time/registration.
Playing in a large group was the most fun I had at GenCon and one of the most fun things I've done in awhile. Hoping to share with more peeps and have a good time!
Have a friend who has a hotel and is wishy-washy about if he wants to go this year. Figure if I can get something quasi-offical for a huge CAH game like GenCon, I could go with and set that up.
It was a lot of fun and I'd love to arrange it again. It's short notice, so it's unlikely, but it's a good time. 😁
Okay, so here's what I am thinking. You know those cheap, plastic folders with pockets on the insides?
That, but card-sized. First card goes in the left pocket, second card goes in the right pocket. Tiny folders get tossed in the pile/box, shuffled, and bingo-bongo, you don't have to skip pick twos in larger groups.
Thoughts?
We played probably around 100 rounds in six hours. I don't usually take photos of combos, but this one... this was the best. Honestly, we probably should have just closed out GenCon after this, as there wasn't going to be much to top it afterwards. 🤣

I managed to get both new releases and am sleeving them for the upcoming crazy three nights of Cards Against Humanity I'm helping with at GenCon this year when this card from the new Super Pack stood out to me as one that needed to be better. If you're under 40, you can leave now.
I feel like I am very badly remembering this. I watched it in middle school. I assume it was something pre-recorded, but might have been recorded off PBS. Guessing sometime between 1988 and 1991ish. I *think* it was live action, with people in costumes that were giant letters of the alphabet. I want to say that C was injured somehow and was dying, and S and K had to be convinced to give some of their sounds up to C or C would die, but that seems awfully grimm for an educational kid's TV show.

I don't live near a Raising Cane's, but do so love the sauce (and the tea. I assume y'all put crack cocaine in the sweet tea), but, whenever I travel, I try to find and stop at a location. As I type this, it's July first and I'm sitting in my car on a Raising Cane's parking lot and thinking how I've never had a bad experience at a single location. I'm sure the job sucks, but thanks guys and gals. Also, thanks for still honoring my Free Cane's Sauce Doubloon three months after it expired. I could easily spare the 39 cents, but it makes me feel like I'm in a secret club every time I show it and no one knows what it is, but they still give me a free sauce. :)
I got the five-star sleep last night and used a friend incense to increase the odds of one of the two being hungry.
Instead, this guy, with one pip. is hungry.

I live in a small community and we have a metric ton of stray cats. It's most definitely not helped by the fact that I know, aside from myself, at least two other neighbors feed them.
Before anyone suggests, I cannot home them. A.) Any given night at dinner time, there's five or six of them and B.) My wife is super allergic to cats. Like, if I pet one, then touch her hand without washing mine first, she breaks out in hives. Unfortunate, as I grew up with a lot of cats and do enjoy them.
As such, I have been feeding them. I keep dry food out during the day and feed wet food to whomever shows up at dinner time. It's fun to see who shows up. Sometimes, we go 2-3 days without seeing one. A few have not shown up again. Some are around every night. We've given them terrible names. Fuzz, Weird, Tiny, Big Kitty, White Dot Kitty, Sweet Kitty, Mean Kitty, Gray Kitty, Floruf, Tuxedo, and Toner are a few of them.
One side effect is we've also managed to attract some raccoons and a new development in a skunk that has started showing up at night. So, we have to bring in the dry food at night. :/
Anywhoo, we're looking at a bit of an extended vacation coming up and I'm wondering about if I should worry about feeding them. Again, I know for sure that at least two neighbors feed them on the regular basis.
I was looking at automatic feeders, but don't particularly want something that the raccoons are going to rip into. Also saw some with cameras and thought that would be helpful to feed them remotely when not home. But, I also don't want to invest a bunch of cash on feeding the strays. Figured I'd see if anyone had thoughts on going about it here.

I've started trying to record and share local government meetings on Whitecountyforum.com - but it's rough. Just yesterday, we had the City of Carmi City Council meeting at 5:30p, then the Carmi Township meeting at 6p, then the White County board meeting at 7p.
There's been another meeting for the City of Carmi announced for next Tuesday. Crossville's village board meeting is also next Tuesday (but significantly later in the day, so that helps).
There's several little villages and townships and trying to go to as many of these as I can while maintaining my own job is difficult - so, I was hoping to find some like-minded folks to help record these meeting and upload them so that more folks in the local communities can get involved?

Our local municipality recently revamped the liquor ordinance. While reading through it, several things jumped out at me - but, specifically, this one...
>It shall be unlawful to employ in any premises used for the retail sale of alcoholic liquor any person who is afflicted with, or who is the carrier of, any contagious, infectious, or venereal disease. It shall be unlawful for any person who is afflicted with or who is a carrier of any such disease to work in or about any premises or to engage in any way in the handling, preparation or distribution of such liquor.
The question is, is this legal? A quick search shows that an individual infected with an STD (for you youngins out there, "venereal disease" is what they used to call STDs) is protected by the ADA/EEOC. For the vast majority of people with STDs, they can obviously sell liquor via retail sales with no risk to the general public (unless they're serving it in a way that probably has several other health issues involved).
Seems like a weird and completely unenforceable section of the law.
I say 347 because I caught a shiny Pikahat Bulbasaur after recording this video and hatched a shiny Dratini from one of the eggs from the event.
I also traded a shiny Unown U I had from before for a Shiny Unown Q (not in this video) and a shiny Rotom off fora shiny Hitmontop I didn't need (that is in the video).

The City Council meeting authorizing the city to post it up for bid was... intense.
