if Exodus succeeds or does well, I hope it will open the branch for a potential Looter Shooter in the future.
like think about it, the lore and universe is huge enough to have almost an endless amount of potential and content
you have the game with the content cycle akin to warframe [to keep it grounded and not like other games try to do, no fomo basically] and the combat pacing akin to destiny 2, and it takes place in a part in the cluster where there's two star systems right smack near each other, so planetary travel is just a few days or weeks at most, allowing for an incredible amount of worldbuilding and dungeon like missions on various worlds
you could even call it Exodus Wardens, and instead of having pure space magic for our playable protagonists being able to handle dangerous factions or even potential hostile celestial or changeling factions, we have cybernetic or genetic augmentations, looking more and more posthuman alien or mechanical depending on the branch you prefer, and maybe cosmetic upgrades to look as human you want
for a potential traveling vendor like baro ki'teer from warframe or xur from destiny, you could have an allied traveler you made friends with who shows up every few weeks with rare resources or gear you can get access to
and you play as wardens, not travelers, those who defend their main homeworld or city of their homeworld and travel within their star system or the nearest one to avoid drastic time dilation
with multiple traveler dynasties, potential celestial and changeling strongholds or subfactions that you can ally or become enemies with, one of these ideas was a changeling race I wrote about a year ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/exodus/comments/1kfx628/fanmade_insectoid_changeling_race_concept_the/
some faction or world you can work with to get resources or gear to handle a potential dungeon or raid later on
the potential for the amount of story and content for this is almost endless because of how diverse and big the exodus universe is, and it's why I hope the game succeeds or does well so it could pave the road for ideas like this in the future, since destiny 2 and the franchise as a whole has been forcefully ended by sony, borderlands is in a mess, and warframe is pretty much the only game taking up the mantle of good looter shooters with rich worldbuilding and artstyle, and also because exodus is being worked on by ex bungie devs from what I heard which is why it's got that explorative mystical sci fi feel that destiny has.
