I’m in the trenches folks, 50% baby papers for a while

Okay, let this be a warning to everyone here. I know a lot of people get the normal advice like don’t drink alcohol or caffeine, don’t eat mint, no spicy food for the baby but man…I wish someone told us about Honey combs!

My wife’s got her comfort foods and with all the restrictive breast feeding diets he only fav remaining’s been Honey Comb’s cereal. Sometimes she’ll add some honey or some berries if we have any. So that’s been going on since my beautiful baby girl was born two months ago. And before anyone asks, yes she’s our first! So much learning and anxiety.

So my wife’s been chowing down on Honey combs. Probably two boxes a day to keep up with that tough caloric intake you need to breast feed. I start noticing that my babies hair started really coming in. Like REALLY coming in. One large mane over her whole body. They don’t make those little baby no tears shampoo bottles small enough for us. Next thing I know…SHE WILL NOT GO DOWN AT NIGHT. She just keeps those brown peepers open bulging out staring at me at night desiring…I dare say…craving milk.

We took her into the pediatrician, Dr. Gerber, today for her two month and her shots, not looking forward to this weekend and I ask the doc. After some test it sounded like it’s too late. We got the diagnosis but before we got some treatment, my daughter’s snout bulged out into some rat mouth and now she’s running around the nearby woods looking for Honey Combs cereal.

We’ve put out the amber, we have had on going search parties all night but the cravings, they drive her mad and no one can keep up with the trail of destruction she leaves in her deadly search for more Honey Combs cereal.

Has anyone else dealt with this one? It’s tough, the pediatrician said it’s rare but it happens.
