I’ve heard that children whose parents converted to Islam “in name only” for marriage are more likely to become ex-Muslims. Is that true?

I’ve been told by many people that the Islamic requirement for a non-Muslim to convert in order to marry a Muslim, even in a non-Muslim-majority country, isn’t necessarily problematic because their children are supposedly more likely to become ex-Muslims than children raised by two Muslim parents.
Is that actually true?

Can any ex-Muslims here confirm this from their experience?
