I (27F) dont live with my family fulltime anymore but i come to visit alot still. My aunt is very sweet I want to leave that as a disclaimer. I have no issues with her mostly at all, but there's this one bad habit she has since I was young that still carried over till this day. she tends to flat out ignore people if they upset her in any capacity, even if the reason is extremely petty.

This one reason was we have an outside cat that comes by every now and then. we let him in the house so he can eat food, but he tends to stay very near the gate of the backyard door, and the front door is also very near him so hes kinda sandwiched inbetween

everytime i went by just to warm up my food at the toaster oven, she would snap and react very DRAMATICALLY and tell me watch out dont squish the cat, even though that had 0 chance of happening.

i told her stop doing it, and she did it like two more times so i finally snapped at her back and said Stop yelling at me. I said you need to stop having these outburst you're not only upsetting the cat, you're upsetting other people in the house + me. relax!

that's literally the gist of what i said. then a bit later after things calmed down a bit, when all emotions calmed down; i asked her a question casually about something. she ignored me. i called her name like two or three more times... and she still ignored me anyways knowing i was there. I just shrugged and said okay fine I guess.

Mind you I spoke to her about this before and said she needs to stop ignoring people when disagreements happen. it's disrespectful and hurtful, especially to family who looks out for you alot

But this time i decided maybe if I acted how she did, she will realize how hurtful that feels being ignored like that. today she came down stairs and said hello to me and my brother who were both in the lviing room, and I said nothing at all. she said my name three more times and i still ignored her.

Initially it felt good doing so, because I really ft her reactionwasnt justified atall, but on the other hand a part of me was saying "just be the bigger person that's just how she is."

but its kinda a loop and happens time and time again and i dont feel like it's healthy at all

would anyone like to hang out today or potentially tomorrow and get a couple drinks? I have to leave later in the day tmmr but theres plenty of time between then or not still :)

I think the real problem is alot of women on here don't tend to do the dming and prefer when someone else hits them up. I haven't had many females hit me up (the ones tbat did were also on the weird side)

Yes i think the population of men is higher on average, but most of it comes from their willingness to take the initiative and dm first;

I think it would be nice if the ladies here put more effort into sending the first dm, especially to fellow girls who are also looking for friends.

That is all, after the Nets, I hate the Knicks the second most out of any franchise and they just tied us 1-1 in finals history. It seems its impossible to keep a man's attention now. You text them for like ten different exchanges, and then you end up a bit busy Nd reply later, and you're ghosted

or vice versa even after 8 minute delay, they can ghost you. It's just a mess

Dont let me start with getting stood up on a date/ abandoned in the middle of the date. This happened to me atlsast 2 times in the last few months, and the second time it happened after he was TEXTING me and saying he was getting grocceries from the store for me. How spineless/cruel can you be to do that

I took a break for a long time, but even after a few fuck ups im almost ready to quit again. I jist feel bad my son won't ever experience a real father figure in his life
