I just talked to USAA for the second time in regards to payment assistance for a credit card. They refuse to set a payment plan monthly fee up, and instead were rude on the phone to me and harassing me of when I can pay next, advising me to get a side gig to pay it off. Any payment I make keeps disappearing to interest accrued and like I said, they refuse to help set up a payment plan as I do not qualify. The account is already closed. Any advice? Should I just balance transfer elsewhere? Hate that they are the only bank I have ever had refuse to help me in this regard.

Hi all, need some kind advice here.

I am in a nearly one year relationship with my boyfriend. Lately our sex life has dwindled due to obligations, but also because my boyfriend doesn’t feel I am attracted to him anymore. I will explain below why it has slightly faltered on my part.

I am, I always have been attracted to him. he’s very handsome and great in bed. I’ve just been having issues lately and I can’t tell if it’s my OCD or a legitimate complaint. I will start by saying he doesn’t smell when I go down on him, and doesn’t outright smell bad like, ever.

He works a demanding job outside, and the state we live in is not kind with its humidity and heat, especially not right now. He often comes home very sweaty obviously. His showers have always been short (like 5 minutes short) and I don’t think anything of it.

My only complaint is that he doesn’t use like an exfoliating wash cloth, or one at all, because his skin is sensitive and it’s too abrasive. He has always been more on the oily side, and I’ve gotten him facewash and a toner that he seldom uses, I usually wind up finishing it because he uses it so rarely. I’ve tried to impress upon him good skincare.

Anyways, back to the showers and what really turned me off the other day. He washes his hair and beard with shampoo, and his hair smells fine, but sometimes like oil if that makes sense. It doesn’t look oily because he has a lot, but I noticed he has like, dandruff on his chin where his beard is. He also tends to smell oily/slightly musty there? We both used a toner pad and it left a residue, so we went to wash our face. His “washing his face” was just splashing water. I didn’t tease him but lightly asked him for me to wash it, and I took my face wash and washed his beard and face well - and asked if that’s how he normally did it, and he said no. After, the beard dandruff was gone. I griped a little about how thats what he’s meant to do, and he said the face wash I use is never in the shower with him due to the timing of when we shower, so I agreed to leave it there for him.

Anyways, long story short I’ve tried to do the kind gentle nudges like when we shower together I ask to wash his back and chest (which is often oily too, which like okay no big deal but he says he “washes it the best he can” i’m assuming with his hands.) I tried to show him the shower towel thing (like the African net sponge, but it isn’t as abrasive) and even got him his own, which is never used. I often ask if he uses it but I know more often than not he doesn’t because it’s in the same spot, not wet. When I directly approach it like, you need to use a loofah at least and take a longer shower (imo due to the fact he’s outside literally all day). I get it’s ingrained in him and he says he “knows he doesn’t stink” which like, he doesn’t but lately it’s been a real turn off feeling the oil & realizing his beard is kinda musty. I don’t know how else to approach this, we even had a conversation where I told him yes I’m still attracted to you (it wasn’t just this making him feel that way so it kind of got glossed over) but like, it feels like he just says “yeah yeah I will” and doesn’t. I feel like it’s harsh to say “I am waning in my wanting to be intimate with you because I feel like you aren’t clean enough”, because he insist he is and no one else has had complaints, so he is reluctant to change, even stubborn I would say.

How do I bring this up in a not tone-deaf or insulting way? I care about his feelings and he has always been considerate with mine. He also puts his all into this relationship and I can see it, his whole life right now is focused on creating us a better life and ensuring we are happy. He’s not downright filthy, but how do you nicely ask for your partner to put more effort into their cleanliness and appearance in order to be more attractive to you? 5 more minutes in the shower, a loofah, and a spritz of cologne would be all it takes to get me to jump him more often.

hi all, first time posting here & am kind of nervous. i went in for bloodwork for my GP to prescribe another year of my birth control pills and decided to go ahead and run an STD panel while i was at it. i did not expect to get a call this morning saying i tested positive for chlamydia!

i was tested last may 2025, got involved with my boyfriend in august and was tested again a few weeks after we’d been intimate semi frequently.
he didn’t get tested but hadn’t been involved with anyone for 3 months ish. he’s had bloodwork since then but no STD screening, no symptoms either. we’re quite open with eachother and he had not mentioned any issues besides semi reoccurring sore throat, chalked it up to the nature of his job/allergies.

i within the last few months have been experiencing that as well, with some tonsil stones, so i assumed tonsil flare ups, didn’t think much of it. there’s also been some pressure when having sex, but i thought it was the nature of the positions we were in / cramping due to that. no blood when there wasn’t meant to be, but my periods hurt a little more than usual (which i assumed was due to my birth control pill becoming less effective due to being on tirzepatide) - no odd discharge. i have been peeing a lot more which i assumed was due to my water intake being higher per the advice of my GI doctor visit, with sometimes burning but not to the extent that it was extremely painful like when you have a UTI.

so, all that to say, seems like i was having symptoms but it did not click in my head, especially as i’ve never had this before. i’m guessing my boyfriend has had it and did not realize. kinda kicking myself for not requesting he get tested. anyway, i’m nervous. if i’ve had it all this time, is there a good chance i could be damaged? i have some pelvic pain sometimes but assumed it was just due to hormones & also my stomach being more upset lately (i’ve had GI issues apart from this) so i don’t think i have PID, but i’m overall disappointed and scared now for my fertility. also, since im guessing it’s in my throat too (gross) - will this round of antibiotics kill that off as well?

my boyfriend is getting tested this afternoon and will also be treated, so i know we cannot be intimate in any capacity for at least a week. he has not accused me and has assumed responsibility as it was likely him since i was negative. however, i got tested again several weeks after us being intimate and was clear once again - is it possible within those weeks of us being intimate i did not catch it or it wasn’t present enough? with this timeline - is there a chance he’s stepped out on me? i really do not believe he would, and he did not react badly, accuse me, or make me feel dirty.

i would love to hear any info or advice - ive got the rundown from my doctor and of course have been googling like crazy because im just sad and disappointed in myself that i had it probably for a while and did not realize. struggling with feeling down. i already have genital herpes after being with a man for 3.5 years who cheated on me and passed that to me (not with him anymore) so i’m kind of going through those emotions again, although thankfully this infection is not permanent.

Hi all, first time posting here. I 26F have been to two GI specialists in the last few months. Both reccomended colonoscopy (I was mainly diagnosed with anal fissures, which lots of laxatives have helped with) however - upon having more regular and soft bowel movements, my stool is like, kind of thin coming out? Anyways to my main question since I’ve got a family history as well, would it be okay to wait until August to do this? I know the prep is kind of intensive and I currently share a bathroom with someone else, so I’m worried about prep with that being a situation where they may need to use it / shower. Do I just bite the bullet and do it - or should I wait? My symptoms have been a lot better with the laxative though. I’ve been having issues on and off for a couple years.

hi all, it is my first time posting here! i 26f came into about $5,400 dollars from an insurance settlement. i have three credit cards i am on a payment plan for, exceeding this amount. i also have a personal loan from my uncle but that is last on the debt priority list. i’ve seen varying opinions of

1. keep it in savings as an emergency fund (which i do not currently have, i have $1250 in savings but it isn’t enough to cover a months worth of expense)
2. pay off debt
3. invest in an effort to make more money from it

I and two other girls are on a shared responsibility lease for a 3bed 2bath apartment in South Carolina. One girl has already left, moved out, but has not had her name removed off the lease, so we have sublet her room. She moved out and made it our problem to find someone.
I have moved out as well, and have subleased my room.

So that’s one girl on the lease living there, and two subleasing. The one on the lease living there is trying to find two new roommates to resign the lease. The lease ends July 31st.

Me and my boyfriend have applied and been approved for an apartment together, starting Aug 3rd. Lease is set. I am listed as an applicant and my name is on the lease. His mother is also a guarantor.

One of the subleased girls is moving out on short notice, leaving us short for next month and the month after.
The girl whose name is on the lease who lives there is also 21 days behind on rent for this month.

I have the money to cover the missing girls rent for next month. I do not want to. I have asked the leasing office of every possible way to get my name off the lease. I cannot find someone willing to pay nearly $2000 with the deposit, application, and first months rent.
They are unwilling to work with us and the roommate living there doesn’t want to beg them to terminate the lease early, as if they even would, due to her wanting to stay.

What is the best course of action if we cannot find someone by the 1st? Do I let them evict us? I know the girl who is on the lease living there cannot even half the rent cost of the missing girl with me, and she has been consistently behind on rent, I am
worried we’re on the last straw.

Do I call the leasing office and beg some more? If they evict us - will my new place with my boyfriend be at risk?

Hello,

I rent a room in a 3 bed 2 bath apartment on the third floor. Our rent went up on resigning of July last year. We are looking through their website for a 2 bed and found they are charging our orginal rent price ($2400) for the exact same apartment layout (3bed 2bath) on the first floor. Is this legal/do we have any footing here to start something? Me and my roommates are livid. We are in SC for reference.
