I love you guys, how can I be a better teammate?

I love you guys, how can I be a better teammate?

Seriously when I see an Ultron on my team I get so excited. 9/10 I’ll get your drone and you empower me to pop off. Once had an Ultron drone me making me go 23-0 in a 5 minute match! Needless to say we steam rolled.

How do ya’ll select drone targets? What can your teammates do to help you?

If I kill the enemy Ultron does that immediately disable their drones? I tend to target the enemy Ultron as soon as I see them so they can’t drone anyone (why do my teammates NEVER look up?!).

These summer skins are something else…

most entertaining hook of my career 🤣

How the hell do you hook and turn someone into your team on console??!!

Cyclops and Gambit throwing me random kisses just for the post visibility lmao.

Every Bucky I see does the hook and turn is on PC, but for some reason I CAN’T do it on console. I upped my sensitivity to like 400 to try and get the speed up on the turn once I’ve hooked someone, but it’s like I just pull them to the front of me, and not behind me, even though I end up facing backwards at the end of the hook animation.

Is this harder to do on console or do I just need more time in the practice range?

Do you guys find your team peels enough for you? Or is it rare?

I used to play Jeff a lot but I realized I’m a terrible healer so I try to make up for it by protecting my supports as much as possible. In this clip I (Bucky) chased away Angela from Jeff and then she solo ulted me lmao.

When I have to play healer I find my team rarely looks back at me and don’t seem to notice I’m getting dove all game until far into the match. I mean it benefits us all if you Dps and tanks protect your healers right?! God forbid your team has voice chat off and doesn’t hear you yelling for peels.

Does it get better the higher in rank you go or am I doomed to spamming “I’m getting dove to hell”?

Lmao, this hook is just…wrong

Didn’t mean to grab a bro like THAT! Why did they have to put Spidey in a Speedo?!

Is Bucky your go to tank buster?

When the enemy team is tank heavy I either choose him or SG. Any other characters you’d recommend to chew through tanks?

VOD Request: Gold - My hesitation cost us the match

Name: Cutie McShooty

Game Code: 10766792180

Platform: Console

Score board at 11:34.

Learn from my mistakes, just ignore my lord, this is my first shooter and I just happened to play Bucky a lot. Plus I think the icon is kinda fun, but will probably turn it off. Expectations are too high from my team lol.

  1. I waited way too long to switch. Enemy team rolled us while I was trying out Moon Knight and some new controller settings. Honestly I thought they were bots since I accidentally started a QP match after I was playing practice vs AI. I played lazy because of this until I realized they were people lmao.
  2. I know my aim is poo, some days(rarely)I’m decent, this is not one of those days.
  3. I think I was playing tired because after watching this back I botched two of my ults by taking a million years to decide if I wanted to kill the enemy or not.
  4. I overextended chasing Cap, should have run back to my team facing where he ran from me because as soon as I turned my back I got clunked in the back of the head by a shield...twice.

Ya'll see any other glaringly obvious mistakes?

Optimal shift rpm?

I’m a new rider and wondering what the optimal shift rpm is for a 400x? Do you guys just go by feel or have you found a number that gives you the best efficiency?

It was hot, but got out to play for a few hours today on gravel. Recommendations on a good mesh riding jacket?

Hot and humid today and really wish I had more venting in my gear. What’s some of your favorite hot weather gear?

The heat made ending the day with a venison burger and a cold stout at a local bar all that much better though.

Good books/YT channels to learn

What are some of your favorite resources to learn? I’ve got a few books on small engines and found a few random channels, but wondering what you guys like? Any major differences in mechanic content for Euro vs Japanese bikes?

I tried the gpt route but the thing gave me different torque values every time with the same prompt so looking for somethings that are a bit more vetted.

I’ve got a Triumph atm, but probably looking to add some Honda pit bikes into the mix later.

What even is this matchmaking algorithm?!

This matchmaking is something else. The first picture we beat them in 3 minutes. How is this fair?

6 AGAINs...dodged 3 enemy ults. Armed and Dangerous never gets old 😄

Absolutely still the character with the most fun ult in the game IMO. Also one of the few characters where you have the potential to take on the whole enemy team by yourself and survive while racking up frequent flyer miles.

Keep having fun out there fellow soldiers!

Can you bhop on console?

My main is really slow and would love if he had more mobility. I see PC players bhop but what’s the equivalent on console? Can it be automated or do you just have to manually time your jumps every time?

CC question, why did I get flung in the air at 8 seconds?

I got flung around and missed my red ball shots 😭.The only person behind me was Emma I think. Does she have some crazy kick or something?

Thoughts on this home design for a couple? We like Scandinavian design, but need some features from barndominiums too. What do you all think?

Thanks for your feedback on some of my other posts. You guys are really helping us identify the pros and cons of each.

We love minimalist Scandinavian design, but need features found in barndominiums like larger roof overhangs and larger garage, which is hard to find in strictly Nordic design. Wondering if this option can kind of mix the two aesthetics?

This home will be overlooking woods and a vineyard on a 20 acre forested lot so the wall of windows would have a great view. Would like to expand the garage to a 3 car. I originally was hoping to fit an RV in there too, but I might have to scrap that idea since the proportions of the house and garage seem to be throwing some of you guys off in the barndominium floorplans with the huge shop.

We like the master on main since we are thinking about aging in place eventually and you pointed out separating the garage and house so I won't disturb anyone in the house with all my garage/shop activities.

Which Barndo plan would you choose? Home for a couple on a 20 acre farm, one is a gearhead, the other is a minimalist.

Posted here a bit ago about a barndo and you guys gave some great feedback! Wanted your thoughts again on these options and if you see red flags in either of these floorplans in regards to our goals which are:

  • Eventually retire in this home (we are decades away from retirement, but want to keep that in mind for the future)
  • Rent it out as an AirBnb
  • Have enough space for all my gearhead toys and farm equipment (motorcycles, cars, tractor and RV + dedicated gaming space)

Budget could allow to build either one, but the small white barndo is obviously far more affordable and leaves space in the budget for other things on the property, but the big gray one would allow for my dream garage.

I'm looking to build my dream garage/shop and some of you mentioned last time that some separation would be better from the shop (we don't have the option to separate the buildings due to the buildable area on the 20 acre lot). Thought the courtyard option in the small house would be a nice compromise.

If either could be built, which would you choose?

Which would you choose? Modest barndominium plan with courtyard vs barndominium with dream garage - for a couple, one is a gearhead, the other is a minimalist. Wanting turn into an AirBnB as well.

Those of you still on the journey, how many vacations a year do you take?

I’ve been told I vacation more than the average person, almost like that’s a bad thing? I don’t think I do, I’m remote so I just travel while working so maybe that’s why it’s perceived I vacation a lot.

Curious how many times you all travel and what’s your yearly travel budget?

Want to balance saving but want to have a good life while being frugal too.

Mini breaks to test out retirement? Did that change your thoughts on FIRE?

How many of you on your FIRE journey tested out mini retirements by taking sabbaticals? What did you do or what do you plan on doing to fill your days?

Unfortunately for us our 2 year sabbatical kind of killed the fire we had for FIRE. We realized everything we like to do could still be accomplished with some creative life design without having to save so aggressively.

I still really love the discipline and creativity in this community though, so will still happily surf this sub.
