What are our responsibilities as a citizen?

Honestly, I never thought I’ll be writing this actively on social media about society. I am very much interested in metaphysical and philosophical stuff. But recently I am unable to ignore the cracked patches in our society. I am unable to look away at transcendental stuff when the reality keeps poking me.
And recently I am so confused about our roles and responsibilities as citizens. Majority of us do vote, pay taxes, contribute in nation’s economy in one way or another. It is a huge contribution of our population in this rapid GDP growth. So many hands to work and to earn and even to spend, which keeps the economy in flow.
But, are our responsibilities confined to economical benefits only? And every other flaw in this nation is truly just government’s fault?
Like, when we talk about health facilities, which is the most important service provided for any citizen. But we all know that most of the government hospitals fail to deliver a basic service. It’s a disaster that these health facilities are not hygienic. Who to blame? The government-Who fails to provide adequate finances? Employees who fail at maintaining it? Or the one who clutter it in the first place? Us?
Doctors and nurses look frustrated most of the time, may be because of over crowd, but isn’t it their duty to deal with people patiently who are already a patient? Even the guards in such hospitals are so rude. And when to talk about the crowd going there, they are so impatient, do not want to wait at all. Always ready to argue. We already lack a basic structure in these important services, but this moral lack of people is making it worse.
This was all about a service. I think basic awareness for self security is more important. If we talk about road safety, government have made helmets a mandate, but how many of us really follow? Even if the traffic inspector stops us to generate a penalty and to scold us, most of the people run away in an instance, otherwise rather than accepting our fault and giving the penalty, we choose to give bribe, and the officer is more concerned about the extra money rather than the protocol. And I don’t know why people take so much pride in drinking and driving, I have heard endless stories, being told in funny or proud way, that I was so drunk that I crashed my car, or when stopped by a police officer, I bribed them with a bottle that I had and they released me. Like what exactly people are proud about? Being drunk or being released by giving bribe?
Few things are really basic, I don’t understand how few people’s mind work, that they don’t do stuff that should be as easy as breathing. For example, endless times it has happened to me that while travelling in the e-rickshaw, the driver or the person sitting beside him starts smoking, and all the smoke comes at the back, very obvious? Like that is really annoying, that I have to tell them to not smoke like this, as people sitting behind are getting suffocated by the smoke you are releasing. I have seen people throwing empty packets under the seats of metro, or spitting on the tracks. And as a girl if I start talking about harassment, this essay will turn into a book.
I just feel so sad that people in my nation, the country which have such diverse cultures, religions, so much history. Endless glory of gods and kings, constructions beyond imaginations. People from this kind of nation are seen as burglars and bullies all over the world

Did someone noticed that new video playing in Delhi metro?

I was traveling to work. And I saw the video playing on that metro screen where stations are displayed, and about how to be travel securely, stand in line, not to do stupid stuff n all.
Today I noticed a new video, that was generic, it was showing stuff like having basic medical supplies like thermometer, paracetamol and stuff, and when you travel pack carefully, always be in line, save yourself from heat stroke by wetting a cloth in water and keeping it on head, and there was a video of man opening his car door, a kid and dog was in there. I guess it means don’t leave your kid or dog in car alone. And about hygiene, like cover food, and the visual was of local mithai shop, means giving idea to keep hygiene even in small shops.
I was unable to see which ministry released that video.
But I was impressed. It ended with random kids and old couple smiling.
I really liked the attempt to make people aware of small things and to take care of their surroundings.

Are we ignoring this side of our nation?

India is a quasi-federal country. Our constitution defines the government how to exercise their power. We proudly call ourselves as the largest democratic country, which means that our government is by the people, for the people and to the people. It all looks so simple and organised. All citizen’s rights are protected by the constitution, citizens are responsible for choosing the government. In fact the people of the nation have power over the government- every right to speak against government and support who ever we want. In a country that provides such important rights to citizens, surely the condition of people does not seem fair. Should not the government and oppositions try their best to uplift the living standard of people, so that people can choose which ever actually works.
According to a recent research , 31% to 36% of the population is middle class, roughly 50% to 60% is lower income and poor people, and only 1% to 5% class represents rich. And the fun fact that, this 50% low income population owns only 3% of total nations wealth. And this rich 5% owns approx 40% of nations wealth. We can clearly see the difference between rich and poor are extreme. Wealth distribution of this country does not make sense.
But for this condition we really don’t know who to blame. Government? Or the citizens? We have a large population along with many refugees from our not so friendly neighbours. If we look at the resources and the land mass our population is way too extra. There is no awareness, but we can’t blame it all on people.
Middle and lower class people are occupied with making ends meet everyday. We can’t expect them to think about nation and fellow beings first, when they are exhausted just by their basic day to day life and basic survival. Middle class is stuck in corporate labor and poor people are busy in physical labor with bare stipend.
Who to blame for the condition? The government solely? We don’t know what is happening at a greater level, what if the government is trying its best and saving us from the worst? But aren’t many people already living the worst?
This country’s people are exhausted, mentally, physically and financially too.

Where our country is headed is really scary. We are losing hope in government and system.

We still have 3 years left for Lok Sabha Elections, which are going to be held in 2029 I guess.
I wanna know what people are planning?
Like we all know the current situation that our country is in. Citizens and government, both are not making sense anymore.
I feel violence is so much normalized now, like we are no more shocked on someone’s death news. We are like, this happens every other day. I don’t know if media is showing only bad stuff or there is no sensible stuff left.
I don’t hate BJP, but the current leadership is not delivering anything, in fact making it worse. Or we are living in the worst times? I truly don’t know.

Are we still playing to make BJP win again? Or no? If no, what options do we have?
Even if majority press nota, I don’t think anything will change. Same loop over and over.

Unfair god?

Just watched a video about how you are not manifesting and just fantasizing.
The video explained how we keep meditating on our ambitions and dreams with same frequency as our current life.
After meditating on our goals, we keep struggling through our life while thinking that if only my manifestations comes true I’ll escape this hell whole.
Here’s when the concept of detachment and delusion comes in. But no one ever actually cleared it well, so we keep on thinking all of these as different practices, a process that we need to manifest our desires. When these are your developments in your manifestation. Means the moment you stop obsessing over your goals and accept them as your reality.
People who don’t overthink are the happiest. Because whenever you start over planning you find a loop whole in your plan and start doubting. Then you think, no! I’ll give efforts and make it true. But in your mind, after setting your plan, you doubted yourself. So when you start to take action, after few days of your routine something bizarre happens and you are forced to stop. And again you are on ground zero.
Them again you take time to heal, put intentions, doubt, start, stop, this pattern keeps looping.
In the end we are left with the thought that it’s God that is unfair who keeps on testing me. No, it’s us who keeps on testing ourselves. Our ego gets happy with the fascination, and then it doubts that it’s too big for me. And when you start, your ego gets disturbed and your whole plan is down the drain.
I, myself don’t know how to escape the loop, but this is the understanding and a theory I have understood as a failure in life, fascinating about manifestation.

Work culture of India

I don’t understand that for what reason work culture is so toxic in India? And mainly those big named firms treat their employees like a pig. They shout, scream and make you seem like an idiot for no reason.
And no it’s not like the person does not know how to work, but the silly genuine mistakes are treated as blunders.
As for me I work in a news channel. And trust me no environment can be more toxic than a newsroom. There is always chaos. I have a working experience for about 7-8 years. But lately I have noticed that things are worst in the industry. Work pressure along with fear of losing job.

Let me give an example with what kind of shit I go through. I am a video editor, I was working on 2pm bulletin. I edited the package and it was on air, and suddenly the producer came shouting on top of her lungs, what kind of rubbish is this, you ruined my bulletin, if you don’t know how to work don’t work. When asked the mistake, it was all because I shifted the graphics onto the VO that it was matching, because it was not made properly by graphics team. She kept on shouting I wanted it there. I tried to explain that it would’ve looked weird to put it there as it was making no sense, so she was like no I wanted it there, you are stupid. All shouting in Hindi btw.
I do not have any right to speak or creative liberty, and I have noticed specially young people are targeted.
Yesterday too it was someone else’s mistake, and there was so much chaos because of that. His shift was changed, he was a little wrong on his part as he missed to provide things on time, but the amount of chaos is deathening.

Now I feel so scared to go to my office, as I hate chaotic things. I have been searching to do anything else, but the fear of losing income is so overpowering, as I am the sole earner in my family. I have so many ideas but no time for execution.
I have no time to even relax, I am outside my house for about 12 hours. I come back late at night with no strength to move a muscle. Thinking about preparing for a government exam also seems impossible.

Thanks for reading my *rant*

Genuine question. No hate.

I love and I do watch so many online tarot card readings, but sometimes I doubt. I know all tarot card readings are not meant to resonate. But how do energies work in online medium. Like you can’t read anybody’s vibe. I do tarot cards too, but only for people I have seen. I can’t read about people totally unknown, as I don’t know what energy to channelize.

do you need a Guru as a beginner witch?

I have been learning about paganism, witchcraft, esoteric knowledge for about 10years now. I want to dive into practices too. But I am too confused how to start, whenever I practice something I get stuck at the next step, and then I see no guidance around me. Recently I keep on falling in a pit hole in my life. I feel this is the path I was meant to take, but I kept on ignoring it for a long time because of responsibilities, but now I want to understand myself more. I need someone to talk to. I think I have become so less confident in these years and I keep on struggling to maintain anything in life.
They say you will find a guru at the right time whenever needed. I have learned some lessons in different ways from different people. But I never made anyone my guru.

Any guidance from you wise people?

I love these kind of videos, I edit for my own, but I don’t post because of copyright issues. So if we post by saying that this is not for monetizing we can use any audio? If we make it as a fan edit?

Hello, I am from India. I did my masters in philosophy. But I did my graduation and masters both from open unis, not regular. My percentage of masters is also not something I am proud of. But I still wanna do Phd as I am very interested in the subject. I am just preparing for UGC NET exam, but I have no idea what we do in a phd and how to approach it? Should I start writing before getting enrolled? Or after? I wish to be a lecturer in some foreign university. I know it’s idealistic, but that is my goal.

Can somebody give me some reality check? And some real advice? As I am tired of asking chat gpt.

I am not complaining about Indian health system, tbh I am kind of okay with it, as I have seen in foreign countries that the government hospital’s appointments are so delayed and the private health care is very expensive, in India we do get easy appointments, walk in facilities and even getting medicines from chemists are easy. Local private doctors are also good and convenient. But I know the condition of government hospitals are worse, big hospitals are still okay, but local hospitals are impossible to stay in. The doctors and nurses lack basic courtesy and sense. And my god, private hospitals literally make your account drained to almost zero. And again some of the staff are so rude.

There are always good and bad sides to every sector, but health facilities lacking basic hygiene is like a nightmare. I mean it’s not like government not giving them salaries, but the mindset of Indians to get money without working is so weird for me.

I don’t know if I am conveying my message through.

I just wanna say that we as a citizens sometimes fail and keep on blaming the government. First the change and basic sense should come from within us.

What you people think?
