Downfall of not being productive - ADHD Tax

Hi everyone,

I just realized that ADHD Tax is real and can make you loose a lot of money if you won't start to be productive.

Forgotten subscriptions. Late fees. Missed appointments. Birthday cards that never got sent.

I started tracking it and surprised to see that I've spent over $600 last year on things I simply forgot.

That's when I built a system that doesn't rely on memory.

Because I believe you shouldn't have to pay a tax just for having a busy brain. It's free to start.

What do you do for your ADHD tax?? Curious to know.

Do you ever walk into a room and forget why you’re there?

Hi,

I need to know

“Do you ever walk into a room and forget why you’re there?”

Or open your phone to do one thing…

…and 20 minutes later you're scrolling videos and have no idea what you originally picked it up for.

The problem isn't that you're lazy. The problem isn't that you lack discipline.

The problem is that modern life expects your brain to remember too much.

Tasks.
Appointments.
Ideas.
Bills.
Follow-ups.
Birthdays.
Emails.
Errands.

We're using our brains as storage devices when they're meant for thinking, creating, and solving problems.

That's why I built an app (for overwhelmed busy minds or for people who have ADHD) that helps not to help you remember more. But, to help you remember less.

Capture tasks, notes, reminders, emails, calendars, and ideas in one place, so your brain can focus on what actually matters. The goal is to train your brain so that you carry less and be more organized.

What’s one thing you wish you didn't have to remember every day?

My indie app is getting slow app downloads. Help me or suggest me please!

Hi,

I've a unified productivity app (GoMind AI) for overwhelmed busy minds who struggle to manage their day. It's a one stop shop where users can do everything at one place like tasks, calendars, emails, notes, insights, and more.

Currently, I have over 4000 users but I get daily 7-15 users but I have seen other apps which get in 3 digits downloads daily. When I share my app then people find it worth it and they really like the app among others but don't know if it's discoverable by itself or not. So, I wanted to know how can I get more downloads and conversions?

I would truly appreciate your genuine feedback or suggestions.

Days feel overwhelmed being a solo founder?? Try to boost productivity

Hi everyone,

I feel exhausted and overwhelmed being a solo founder trying to build or get things done all alone. It's bit hard. But, one thing I can proudly say that I built GoMind AI to boost my productivity so that I have a list of items to finish daily.

Also, I have recently started posting daily to get the reach.

What tricks do you use??

Does anyone else have a mental wishlist they've been carrying around for years?

What's Sitting on Your "Someday" List?

We all have a wishlist in our heads.

Not the shopping kind.

The things we've wanted to do for months or even years.
📚 Read a book
🏃 Start exercising
🎸 Learn a new skill
✈️ Take that trip
💡 Work on an idea

The challenge is that these things rarely make it onto our calendar, so they remain unfinished thoughts instead of completed experiences.

One feature I personally love in GoMind AI is Draft Tasks.

Whenever something is important but not urgent, I add it as a draft. It stays visible and reminds me every day until I finally schedule it. Otherwise, it usually remains just another thought in my head.

Small idea. Big impact.

Some of the most meaningful things in life don't need to be forgotten just because we're busy.

What's one thing that's been sitting on your wishlist for years?

Stop Using Your Brain as a Storage Device.

Trying to remember everything is exhausting.

Your tasks.
Your habits.
Your meetings.
Your emails.
Your notes.
Your errands.
That thing you need to do on your way home.
The birthday coming up next week.
The vitamin you keep forgetting to take.

It's no wonder so many of us feel overwhelmed.

Your brain isn't meant to store information.

It's meant to make decisions, solve problems, and create.

The more mental tabs you keep open, the harder it becomes to focus on what actually matters.

Imagine having one place for your tasks, notes, calendars, reminders, emails, and everything else life throws at you.

Less searching.
Less forgetting.
Less stress.

More clarity.
More focus.
More getting things done.

Try GoMind AI which works as an assistant so that you don’t feel overwhelmed.

Need help in getting reviews! Please help!

Hi everyone,

I'm a solo founder and recently launched, a productivity app I've been building to help people manage the endless stream of tasks, reminders, notes, errands, appointments, and ideas that tend to pile up throughout the day.

Some features include:
• AI-powered task creation
• Location-based reminders
• Smart task prioritization
• Secure notes
• Calendar/ Email integration
• Natural language task management and many more

The goal is simple: spend less time organizing your life and more time actually living it.

I'm still in the early stages and trying to improve the product based on real user feedback. One thing I'm struggling with is getting honest reviews from people who have actually used the app. I have already added in app reviews prompts but still struggling to get more reviews.

If you're open to trying it out, I'd genuinely appreciate: An App Store/Play Store review about what works and what doesn't because that build trust among others.

Android (Play Store): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gomind&pcampaignid=web_share

iOS (App Store): https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gomind-ai/id6748386865

Every review helps a lot, especially as an independent founder competing against much larger companies.

Thank you for giving it a look, and I'm happy to answer any questions or hear your thoughts.

My app just earned $236.50 in 2 weeks launch of Pro plan

Hi everyone,

Today feels like a small but meaningful milestone for me.

As a solo founder, I've been building GoMind AI largely on my own, spending countless hours designing, researching, learning, and developing a product that helps overwhelmed and busy minds manage their day with less stress and more clarity.

A few weeks ago, I launched the Pro Plan with the goal of making powerful productivity features accessible at an affordable price while solving real problems people face every day.

Today, I'm happy to share that GoMind AI has reached $236.50 in revenue.

It may not sound like a huge number, but for me, it's proof that people are finding value in something I've worked so hard to create. Every subscription represents someone trusting the product, and that means everything.

More than the revenue, it's the motivation and confidence to keep building, improving, and listening to users.

For fellow founders: How did you feel when you earned your first revenue dollar? I'd love to hear your story.

And if you want some help in sales please try GoMind AI and I'd be grateful for your review. I will DM you my strategies as a returning favor. Let's grow more and more!

I launched Pro plan with best productivity app UX. More downloads on Android in just 2 weeks!

Hi,

I have introduced a pro plan in my productivity app [GoMindAI] 2 weeks ago and since then I'm getting so many downloads daily. It was a bit tough to set up subscription model on android and to get approvals but now I feel it was worth it.

I'm looking for a real feedback from more users on my app. It's actually problem solving solution for overwhelmed busy minds.

How Much Does Offline Access Matter in a Productivity App? Looking for Real Feedback

Hi everyone,

I’ve built an AI-powered productivity app designed for overwhelmed, busy minds who struggle to stay on top of their day. The app cuts through the noise, understands what users need, and provides smart reminders based on the right time or location.

I’ve been hearing from some users that offline access would be valuable, particularly for notes and certain task management features. Since calendar and email integrations rely on real-time data, those features wouldn’t be available offline.

I’d love to get feedback from a broader audience:

  • Would offline access for notes and tasks be important to you?
  • How often do you find yourself needing access to your productivity tools without an internet connection?
  • Would offline functionality influence your decision to use a productivity app?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and experiences. Thanks in advance! 😊

I have ADHD: forget to keep trash out or get things done at the last minute

Hi everyone,

I’ve been annoyed of forgetting to keep the trash outside on the trash day and suddenly it clicks in mind when I see outside and trash truck is out there. That said, I put lot of pressure on my mind and think that I will remember it for sure but again forgets it.

Often forget to buy a list of things when at the store even after making notes. So, there is an app that reminds of every daily jobs which is an extra work. Better than other saps like notion, TickTick or Todoist which are annoying.

It’s simple and straightforward for my ADHD mind.

Did positioning your product helped to raise more or get more users?

I attended an event last evening, and one thing really stayed with me afterward: product positioning matters just as much as the product itself.

I’m currently building r/GoMindAI, a productivity app, and honestly, getting positive feedback from real users has been one of the most rewarding parts of the journey so far.

People are downloading it, sending thoughtful feedback over email, using it daily, and some are even paying for it. As a founder, that validation means a lot.

But the event made me think deeper.

I started asking myself: what actually makes a productivity product useful today?

Because if I’m being realistic, tasks, calendars, reminders, notes, and email integrations already exist everywhere. Every app says they help you become more productive.

So what’s actually missing?

I think the real issue is that many productivity tools unintentionally create more mental load instead of reducing it. People install them excitedly, spend hours setting systems up, organizing everything perfectly… and then slowly stop using them because the process itself becomes exhausting.

That’s the problem I’ve been trying to think about differently with GoMind AI.

Not “how do I add more features?”
But “how do I make productivity feel lighter and more natural?”

For me, the answer isn’t just putting tasks, calendars, notes, and AI into one app. It’s reducing friction, helping users remember less, understanding weak points in daily routines, and making the experience feel supportive instead of overwhelming.

I still think I’m learning a lot about positioning and communicating this clearly, but yesterday’s event genuinely shifted my perspective on how important that part is.

I would love to hear from the community here about how you market or position your product.

I was tired of remembering grocery list or other to-dos item while on the go so I built an app that has grocery template

Hi everyone,

I got tired of forgetting what I'd already bought or showing up at the store with a vague mental list and coming home with the wrong thing. So I built a grocery template inside r/GoMindAI.

Here's what it does:

  • Create multiple lists at once — one for weekly groceries, one for a party, whatever you need and name them differently.
  • Mark items as Need to Buy or Bought as you go
  • Add remarks for specifics (e.g. bread → low calorie for me, white for the kids)
  • Set quantities so nothing gets under or over-bought
  • Share the whole list in one click — no more texting items back and forth

The big thing coming up: live collaboration. One person adds items from home, the other checks them off at the store in real time. No mid-shopping calls. That's what Notes, Keep, and AnyList don't really solve.

This is a sub-feature inside GoMind AI's tab-organized Notes system so everything stays in one place, not scattered across apps.

It's available in 26+ languages and completely free. Would love to hear what you think!

I was tired of remembering grocery list or other to-dos item while on the go so I built an app that has grocery template

Hi erveyone,

I was tired of remembering what's I have already bought or what needs to be brought. So, I built an app that as a template under notes section where I can create multiple grocery list of me, for party or any occasion and can edit it any time later. The template is easy to use and I can check off the items purchased else I always end up missing out some of the items in the end.

I can share the list too with someone and it's easy now to have all grocery related notes at one place.

I have also released it in more than 26 languages so I would love to hear from you all if it's a great idea or helpful for you all or not. It's FREE.

Looking for localization tips for launch

Hi everyone,

I would like to know do I need to localize the app store screenshots fully or just the pointers in the screenshots?

What about description/app name/what's new do I need to update them as well based on the language on app store connect and play store console for my app?

Please help me to know and if there are any ideas or quick ways to do it. Thanks
