On the chorus of Too Cruel, there’s a voice that sounds like it could be Rome Ramirez, the “alright no one’s so cruel” line. I’m not sure if it hits or not or if it has been mentioned/discussed. Would anybody happen to know for sure?
I’ve always wondered why sometimes they go by THE Bouncing Souls and other times, they go by just Bouncing Souls. Some of their album covers have the “The” and others don’t. Does anyone know the lore or reasoning for this?
I went to the Syracuse NY show yesterday(it was great!) and I picked up the tour t-shirt. Did Dave do the design? It looks like his style, similar to the cover art for the 7 Seas singles that he did. I was just curious if anybody knew anything about it.
I’m going to the Syracuse show on Sunday and I’ve been dodging setlist spoilers left and right. BUT I do want to know, without telling me any specific songs, how’s the ratio of hits to deep cuts been so far? I’m expecting them to play the heavy hitter hits(Amber, Love Song, Down, Come Original, etc you know the ones) but are they playing deep cuts too or is it mostly hits?
As far as an overall album goes, 7 Seas isn’t that great. It’s been out for over a month now so I’ve had a chance to let it digest. I find myself only reaching for a few songs: Sound Boy Killa, 2 Young, and BADMAN. Honestly, BADMAN kinda carries the whole album. I’m feeling a light to decent 7 on this thing.
So the venue says “311 and Dirty Heads.” Does this mean that Dirty Heads will be on second?
I saw them together when they toured in 2019. Dirty Heads opened for 311. I remember hearing about how on the nights that Dirty Heads closed, Nick Hexum came out and sang So Glad You Made It with them. Now, if DH closes on Sunday, at this show, what do we think the chances are of them playing that together?
Either way, I’m pumped for this show. Two of my favorite bands touring together AGAIN. I saw both of the at Red Rocks in 2024 but they were two days apart which was still sick.
I remember hearing, kinda recently, maybe a few months ago, about how Dave McWane from Big D and The Kids Table was diagnosed with cancer but I haven’t heard any updates since. Did he beat and is in recovery?
I’ve been listening to the newest episode of On The Upbeat podcast and he was the guest along with Matt Appleton and Joe Gittleman and he did not mention it once(unless it was recorded before the diagnosis).
Anybody know anything about this? I hope he did in fact beat it!!
I use Tidal as my streaming service of choice so I’m not sure if it’s like this for anyone else nor do I have the physical album (YET!) but there are two different versions of Born to Be. One version has the title track as the closer and United as the second to last track and another version with the two switched, where the title track is the second to last track and United is the closer. Can anybody hit me with some knowledge on which one is the proper version?
When I first listened to it the day it dropped, the version I heard was the one with United then the title track I discovered the other version after the fact….
The album rules by the way. There are ZERO skips on this thing. I think it may be the best late-stage, George Rebelo-era record.
My wife and I were planning on going to see Jackass one day this week at the spectrum. She said there was a day that tickets are cheaper but she didn’t recall which day. I recently bought a new iPad A16. I plugged my iRig2 into a c-type dongle to record some bass and guitar parts but next to no sound comes out. It cuts in and out pretty heavy and when sound does come out, it’s pretty warbled and distorted(not on purpose). Anybody have any tips? I’ve been using the same setup for the last 7 years. I thought maybe the new iPad was no longer compatible with the iRig2 but it is in fact compatible.

My colleague and I got our sales tax(we’re in NY) setup online. We tried running a couple of test orders. When you try to place an order on the terminal the sales tax comes up as 0.00, despite the 8% sales tax being published from the website to the terminal. However the orders online show the sales tax being included.
We’ve been having issue with WiFi and general internet connection going in and out. We thought that maybe it could have been related to that. But, even when we are connected to the internet, it’s still not showing up.
Would anybody happen to have any kind of insight?
