What were your childhood celebrity crushes? Indian actors only 👀
Random question, but I was thinking about those childhood days when you could see an actor or actress in a movie/song a few times and suddenly they became your celebrity crush 😂. I'm curious what everyone else's picks were. Guys can share actresses, girls can share actors, and TV actors count too.
For me, Katrina Kaif is probably the first one that comes to mind, especially during the “Kamli” era. I remember thinking she looked insanely good in that song. And honestly, I think there's a difference between looking attractive and just making something vulgar for the sake of it. Kamli had that hot/glamorous vibe without feeling cheap to me, which is something I miss in a lot of current songs.
Then there was Asin and Kajal Aggarwal. Ready was probably the big one for Asin for me, while Kajal was one of those actresses I kept seeing in South Indian movies around that time. I don't even remember exactly when I started finding them attractive—it was just one of those childhood things where you see someone a few times and suddenly you're like, "yeah, she's really pretty."
And from TV, I'd probably say Jennifer Winget. I wasn't someone who regularly watched her shows or anything—I only happened to watch her a few times—but even those few times were enough for me to remember her.
I'm sure there are probably a few more I've completely forgotten. That's the funny thing about childhood memories—you hear an old song or randomly see an old movie scene and suddenly you're like, "Oh damn, I remember having a crush on her." 😭
So who were yours? Indian actors/actresses only—Bollywood, South Indian cinema, TV serials, anything. I'm genuinely curious what everyone's childhood-crush list looked like
Wow Spider-Man brand new day had a great jump on its second Saturday
I thought movies like this are usually front loaded but this is so in good trends on its second weekend to with massive jump of 106% on its second Saturday it is currently at nearly 380 crores net and 450 crores gross box office at the India market it only needs 10 to 15 crores net and 30 crores gross which it would likely clay more than that to become the highest grossing foreign movie at the Indian Box office ( source - Sacnilk )

Why is the word "incel" thrown around as an insult?
If you look up the literal, simple definition of "incel," it just stands for "involuntary celibate." By that definition, it literally just means someone who wants to find a romantic partner or relationship but hasn't been able to find one yet. Being single or having trouble in the dating world is a completely normal, common human experience.
Yet, the word is constantly thrown around online and in everyday conversation as a massive, heavy insult. It has become so weaponised that people aren't even using the correct meaning anymore. You will see people calling middle-aged men with wives and kids "incels" just because they disagree with them on something.
Why has a term that technically just describes a single dating status become such a casual weapon? Why do people throw it around at literally anyone, completely ignoring the basic logic and simple definition of the word?I want everyone's honest opinion on this.
My biggest problem with Spiderman Brand new day
It was easily one of my best theatrical experience of the year I really enjoyed this and was genuinely feeling emotional in good way after this ended i don't know much about technical or film making terms
But I really like how the atmosphere cinematography was in the movie like last scene with sunset or rainy n snowy new york scenes or the swinging when he was going to his first tank chase scene but the highlight for me when he was swinging in rain after realising how the lives of his love and friend had already moved on without him They have new friends and love while he is comeplelty alone doing his job fighting the crime It hit me really hard how he was so alone and in pain
I also liked buddy dynamics between him and punisher especially the ending scene when he was exiting from the hospital it was really emotional and funny at the same time
Now, My Biggest Problem: It's not even with the movie itself. The trailers showed way too much. Moments like Hulk's transformation and the web trapping the Hand members would've hit so much harder if they had been kept as surprises. Some may also feel that they wasn't enough action or strong villains or that it felt like an X men set up movie
I also have few questions does anyone think that post credit scene maybe teasing for tobey Maguire spiderman in doomsday or Holland spiderman in secret wars
Do anyone of you think that kids of the policewoman could be Miles Morales ?

Ngl this small sequence was kinda cool . Honest review as a non tamil
The movie instead of being a political thriller action kinda felt like funny action thriller and like I have seen many political thrillers and recent blockbusters like dhurandhar 2 but atleast either they were merely 5 mins or didn't feel like they were throwing something on your face but this one felt like it was throwing a bunch of different issues on your face and many serious scenes felt comedic
Why the hell was so much AI used I can understand for smaller movies but isn't this movie like 400 crores or smth and starring one of the most popular southern actor . Is it me or someone else also felt that it was kinda racist and wouldn't it have been better if they had used this robots plot in his previous movie like Goat.
Lastly even though this small subplot's scene was kinda a cliche but it kinda felt cool which barely lasted for a minute

No way home no matter who says what it's experience was generational and there's something special with homecoming too
Man what is the Twitter account of Pvr Cinemas even smoking?🤔
MF said, 'The Big 3'... Nah... it's just Big Me, Spider-Man.🕷️
With Spider-Man: Brand New Day almost here, I found myself thinking about something I never really appreciated until now.
I've never known a time in my life without Spider-Man.
I wasn't around when Tobey Maguire first swung into theatres in 2002. My experience was different. I discovered Spider-Man the way a lot of people my age did—through cartoons, cable TV, and slowly catching up with everything that came before me.
It all started with The Spectacular Spider-Man.
That show completely pulled me into Peter Parker's world. Then came Ultimate Spider-Man. I know it's not everyone's favourite today, but back then I didn't care. I loved every episode. Looking back, that's probably when Spider-Man quietly became my superhero.
Eventually I watched Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2.
Even as a kid, those movies felt different.
Most superheroes felt larger than life. Peter Parker never did.
He missed opportunities.
He struggled with money.
He disappointed people he loved.
He doubted himself.
Yet somehow... he always got back up.
Maybe that's why Spider-Man 2 is still my favourite superhero movie ever made.
One memory that always makes me smile is waiting for Spider-Man 3 to finally air on cable. There was no streaming service to instantly watch whatever you wanted. You waited. You hoped. You checked the TV guide. When it finally came on, it genuinely felt like a big day.
Then Andrew Garfield became Spider-Man.
At first it felt strange seeing someone else wear the suit, but it didn't take long before I was completely on board. And once again, I found myself waiting months before The Amazing Spider-Man 2 finally made its way to TV.
Around 2016, I remember hearing that Spider-Man was finally going to appear in Marvel's new movie.
I couldn't have been more excited.
Then I realised...
It wasn't Tobey.
It wasn't Andrew.
It was someone completely new.
For a moment, I didn't know how to feel.
Then I watched him.
And before I knew it, Tom Holland had become another Spider-Man I genuinely loved. Homecoming wasn't trying to replace what came before—it simply became its own thing, and I had a great time with it.
I couldn't watch Far From Home in theatres because my pocket money had already disappeared after Avengers: Endgame. 😅 Looking back, I still think that was money well spent.
Then came December 2021.
Spider-Man: No Way Home.
I've watched a lot of films in theatres, but very few experiences have come close to that one.
The cheers.
The laughter.
The silence during certain moments.
It felt like an entire generation of Spider-Man fans—no matter which version they grew up with—was sharing the same experience together.
Then the Spider-Verse films reminded everyone that Spider-Man stories could still surprise us.
Miles Morales is an incredible character, and those movies are masterpieces.
But whenever someone simply says Spider-Man...
Peter Parker is still the first person who comes to my mind.
Now we're about to get Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
And somehow, the excitement feels even bigger than it did before No Way Home.
Not because of rumours.
Not because of cameos.
Not because everyone expects three Spider-Men to appear.
People are excited because it's Spider-Man.
And honestly, that says everything.
I've always wondered why Spider-Man has stayed so popular for more than sixty years while so many other superheroes have come and gone.
Maybe it's because Peter Parker never feels untouchable.
He isn't a billionaire.
He isn't a god.
He isn't a king.
He isn't even the strongest hero.
He's just someone trying to do the right thing while balancing school, work, family, friendships, love, responsibility, and all the mistakes that come with growing up.
Sometimes he wins.
Sometimes he fails.
Sometimes life simply isn't fair.
And yet...
He puts the mask back on.
Maybe that's why every generation ends up finding their Spider-Man.
For some, it'll always be Tobey.
For others, Andrew.
For many, Tom.
For younger fans, maybe Miles.
Different actors.
Different eras.
Different memories.
But somehow, the same hero.
I think that's Spider-Man's greatest superpower.
Not the web-slinging.
Not the strength.
Not the suit.
It's his ability to make millions of people from completely different generations feel like they're seeing a little piece of themselves behind the mask.
My Spider-Man movie rankings:
Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Spider-Man: No Way Home
Spider-Man
Spider-Man: Homecoming
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse
The Amazing Spider-Man
Spider-Man 3
Spider-Man: Far From Home
The Amazing Spider-Man 2
I'd genuinely love to hear everyone else's journey.
How did you first discover Spider-Man?
Who will always be your Spider-Man?
And where does Brand New Day rank on your hype list?
No matter when we found this character, I think we're all connected by the same thing: at some point in our lives, Spider-Man made us look at an ordinary person trying to do the right thing... and somehow made us believe we could do the same.
Here's hoping Brand New Day gives us another memory we'll still be talking about years from now.
🕷️❤️
This would have been such a legendary clash
Going to watch The Odyssey (2026) soon. Do I need any prior knowledge, and what are its genuine strengths and flaws?
I'm planning to watch The Odyssey (2026) in theaters, and I've seen a few people say that having some knowledge of Greek mythology or the original story makes the experience much better because of the themes, character motivations, and references.
The only thing I've watched related to it is Troy, but that was years ago. I remember the basic plot: two kingdoms going to war after one prince takes another kingdom's queen, the long siege of Troy, the Trojan Horse strategy, Achilles being one of the greatest warriors, and his death near the end. That's about it.
Would that be enough, or should I watch/read something else before going in? If yes, what would you recommend that's not too time-consuming?
Also, I'd love to hear some genuine, balanced opinions from people who've already seen it. I already know it's supposed to be incredible on the big screen with amazing visuals, cinematography, and music, but I'm more interested in hearing the actual criticisms as well.
What are its biggest strengths, and what are the genuine flaws? Were there any pacing issues, weak character arcs, confusing moments, or anything else that didn't quite work for you?
Please keep it as spoiler-free as possible.
