É possível subornar a emel?

Hoje tinha uma bota no carro, mas quando me aproximei do agente para pagar, a forma como comunicou o sucedido parecia que estava à espera de algo da minha parte. Fiquei na dúvida se seria uma coisa deste género. Alguém sabe ?

Do you think it’s hard to hear from your child, that perhaps they don’t want to spend so mich time with them?

What the title says. What does it look like to encourage independence in your child ?

Autistic dads: how have you learned to take criticism gracefully and move past it into problem solving ?

My dad was a great dad while growing up. Warmer than my mum and I never felt like I had to earn his love. We collectively were never a touchy, lovey type of family but my dad would do actions that showed he loved me, like always bringing me a chocolate bar every friday, when he picked me up when classes were out. I always knew where I stood with him because ”the rules” were very explicit and said in an overt, verbal manner. He said what he meant and meant what he said. I knew exactly where the line was and this, I think, was especially important during turbulent teenage years. He also always acted accordingly. If he didn’t like someone, he wouldn’t see them. If something was X then something was X, not Y at home and then X in public. Anyway, now I know I’m autistic and he is too.
Now I’m an adult and I can see some of his less great characteristics. When I try to give input into something that he is doing that could be done some other manner, he takes it very hard, gets defensive and leaves the situation, something I’ve read is common in autistics. He is 70 now. I was just wondering how other autistic ”children” relate to their aging autistic parents and if you have some tips on smoothing out the relationship. Maybe I just have not to say anything .

Has anyone here been successful in eschewing all refined sugar from their diets?

Hey, everyone, how you doing? Am wondering if anyone here was successful in living a life without refined sugar and how you did it. I have a major sweet tooth and insulin resistance and I find this hard. However, eating candy undoubtedly flares my HS so it’s probably a good idea to take it out altogether.

How many of you are vegetarians or vegans?

Just wondering about how statistically this community might compare. If there’s overrepresentation here, like in other things. I’m not anymore but every time I see a cow behave like a dog I get a small little punch in the gut

Officially diagnosed!

I'm officially h-EDS, including an in-the-works written report by my doctor that I will be able to take to social security! The reason I'm so happy is that I was super anxious about this appointment, after the customary round of dismissal from other doctors, something I know probably a lot of you experience too.

However, not this time! It was such a relief to have a good experience, not feel dismissed or looked down on or not understand what the hell is going on, and not needing to do a hundred tests before we get to the obvious conclusion. I really thought that at least I would be asked to test with a geneticist that I don't have other kinds before giving me "the label" for heds.

There's one trick I started using recently: after my autism diagnosis I started bringing a written sheet with everything I want to say, symptoms and meds, and I start the appointment by full on saying "I'm autistic and here's my sheet". It seems to help sometimes.

Do you guys have pets?

How has your experience been of taking care of pets while dealing with a chronic issue ?

I would love to have a dog again but I do remember when my dog Mac was alive that some days it was gruelling to go outside for a little walk. Wondering what your experience is and if you think that all in all, it’s worth it.

Barefoot tennis shoes, a yes or a no?

What’s your opinion, folks? Is it a yes or no for the thin soles with wide box shoes?

I normally wear thick soled tennis shoes all the time, to keep my knees padded (who knew the reverberation from hitting your heels against the pavement would creep up your legs and land on the knees?!)

But I’m starting to like the idea of wide toe boxes, it’s so comfortable for the toes!
