Sasquatch

I'm listening to the back catalog for the umpteenth time and just finished Episode 26 which included an interview with Eric Altman, Sasquatch believer. For fun, I liked him up to see if he's still going strong 20 years later, and sure enough, this is from THIS PAST MAY!

Sharing because funny, but also a question.

Watching this, of course I noticed the audience dying every time someone broke. What do you think the cast would prefer and why?

Eg, they want the audience to NOT laugh, so they can regain their focus.

They want the audience TO laugh, because even though they'll break even more, they know outs good entertainment, plus it's just more fun for them.

Or whatever preference/ reason you can come up with!

I got caught eating hot dogs at work and the boss wants to have a meeting first thing Monday

Should I be worried? I work overnight at the medical examiner's office as an autopsy tech, and I was alone tonight doing prep/sanitation stuff. I didn't expect anyone to come into the office because we're a small crew (not a very busy area) and it's a holiday weekend, so I was just eating my hot dogs in the morgue. Not while actively cleaning or handling bodies to be clear. I had five hot dogs packed for the night and I don't like eating in the breakroom by myself because it's honestly kind of creepy in there.

But of course, the instant I'm doing something technically wrong my boss walks in unexpectedly and catches me eating the hot dogs. She was just stopping by to check on something before the long weekend and didn't let me know. She reprimanded me about eating in there, I apologized, but we didn't go into too much discourse because she was in a rush. I went to the breakroom to finish and she left without saying anything, but then she texted me later "Have a good night (my name) and enjoy the holiday, we need to have a meeting first thing Monday if you can come by about 30 minutes early, thanks."

Am I going to get fired or is this possibly about something completely unrelated? I'm really nervous

Stealth Super Sniffer

Just realized Buzz smelled burning from behind a closed door that Nigel, in the room, barely noticed (to the point buzz was alarmed and Nigel wasn't).

Tick?

Different apps are giving me different answers. This is part of a wall that we don't really get near, so I am surprised. Like it just in case, but it's the second time I've found what might be a tick somewhere weird.

Edit: thank you all. That's what I thought, but I was surprised by the location and the lack of app ID consensus.

I drop the MFers in a pill bottle of isopropyl ... started that last summer and there are like 30 of 'em in there. Fuck, I really thought hard surfaces were safe.

I just caught this ...

Read the book once, saw the movie twice, on my second listen of the audiobook.

The Beatles.

In the book especially, but also implied in the movie, Grace starts referring to the alien race as PEOPLE.

Before he ever even meets Rocky. And after.

He wonders what technology these people have. He talks about "the people" facing the same problems that Earth is.

I think this was a conscious choice by Weir to frame the kind of person Grace is and the kind of story this would be. The protagonist doesn't have to know someone to see them as an equal, worthy of respect, friendship, and kindness.
