FTM baby 1 week old -

I can’t get baby to latch without a nipple shield, my nipple kind of just wrinkles up and stays flat, so nothing is hitting the roof of the mouth or signaling baby to suck. I’ve tried manipulating it and pinching it into a different shape but it’s just not really working. I think I have inverted or flat nipples as well, they do come out sometimes but only a tiny bit and not for long. its always been this way but since my boobs got larger they have been less likely to stay uninverted. I’m a 40g and my nipples are really large idk if this matters but i feel like if they were smaller maybe it would be working ??

My boobs hurt they are swollen and have hard spots in them, and the top of one of my nipples has milk bleb and a blood blister.

What do I do to fix all this?? I don’t pump that much, is that the issue?? I don’t really know if I wanna be pumping every 2/3 hours like I’m already on a schedule on baby’s terms and now this ??

I had my baby on the 22nd , she won’t latch, pumping was too much, tried to recover, now that I’m willing to pump nothing is coming out. I had more coming out during pregnancy. Every time i try to breastfeed at the hospital baby (24 hours old) has just fallen asleep or not tried to suck. We ended up giving formula because she needed to eat something , and now it’s been a cycle of trying breastfeeding and nothing is happening. Someone (dr/nurse/idk) came in at some point and was like oh if she doesn’t do it now you won’t produce enough milk after about 2 days post partum and it will go away, and so now I’m worried about that because I do want to keep trying it but what she said kind of freaked me out. Will it actually go away that quick? I haven’t really been pumping because it’s been really overstimulating, I used the hand pump and hand expressed a little.Not a lot

my epidural isn’t working ??? it’s numb maybe???? a little by my ribs and they’ve checked it multiple times now and not even fixed it when I mention I’m feeling everything. last time I could barely move my legs and now I think I could go for a sprint right now. I genuinely don’t feel any pain relief. I’m so irritated right now

they just put in the catheter for pee and I felt the whole thing , hurt, and it burns down there. so the area that should not be feeling something most definitely is.

I never hear anyone talk about this, they all act like it’s normal and doesn’t feel insane. I can’t seem to distract myself with ANYTHING !! Please help if you had a similar experience. Do I just give up and buy formula.

My house has no central AC. Got some window units but it’s still extremely hot. The place has an attic in a small spare bedroom, and a dial on the wall with a note on it that said “open hatch and window”. I’m really confused by the concept of this attic fan and how it works. You have to leave the hatch and that bedroom window open the whole time?? It’s so hot, opening the window lets in so much heat. It’s also extremely humid. I have a portable ac unit for that room so I can take it out as needed to open the window, but I’m confused on how necessary this is?? Is this how attic fans are supposed to function?? I don’t get how it’s cooling the house down. Can I leave the bedroom door closed while the attic and window are open with the attic fan going, or does that defeat the purpose?

My landlord seems to not know too much about it and didn’t/couldnt explain anything. My parents have an attic fan in their house that does not require a hatch or window to be open, and I can’t really find information online about this

sorry if this is an obvious question. I’ve never had an ac window unit. I have the updated midea U model. I have heard of the drain plug in the back, is this something you have to unplug to manually get it to drain? Is it already unplugged ? How can I tell? Technician set up my unit so I have no idea.

Pumping is extremely weird to me, it feels very sexual and I don’t like it at all. BF doesn’t feel the same and neither does manual pumping. It’s just the electric ones. ( I’m using the Eufy s1 & spectra ) I would really like to use my wearable pump especially for the convenience , but I just can’t get over how weird it makes me feel. Like now is not the time, very inappropriate, makes me so uncomfortable. Is this a normal way to feel? Do you just get over it after pushing through? I’ve tried it for several days and I just can’t do it for more than a few minutes because it disturbs me. How can I make it not feel so creepy please !!

I made a pitcher of butterfly pea tea , but i made it way too watered down. How can I fix it? I know tea is really meant to be brewed hot but would putting the tea bags in the cold pitcher help? Can you heat up the already made tea to add more bags? Or should I just start over ? I don’t want to waste the tea bags used to make the pitcher but it really tastes like nothing right now

for clarification the tea was made like a day ago and the tea bags used to make it are thrown away lol just wondering how to make it stronger without ruining it & don’t want to waste what’s already made

I am very worried about having emergency c section, or something happening to baby. My hospital is far from home so inducing would be best for me. I have had a “successful“ induction in the past, but my baby was stillborn (tfmr) so I’m not really sure if it would have been fine or not. I know they might do c section if baby is under too much stress or it’s not progressing fast enough, but this didn’t really apply to my previous birth. I hear so many bad stories about inducing. Is there any way to try to make it go better?

I asked my mom if she will get vaccines before meeting the baby. I have always gotten them as a child and I didnt think it would be a huge deal, but she has been changing a bit lately and takes a lot of things she sees online as facts.. you probably know how it is. So she straight up said no I won’t and I said okay well I guess you can wait a bit to see baby then. She got upset and didnt talk to me for a while, the next time she talked to me she told me vaccines would be nearly 2000 dollars because she doesn’t have insurance. That seems extremely high and I just don’t believe it. Shes now talking about how she doesn’t have enough money and guilt tripping me for even asking about it. I asked my mother in law as well, and she agreed to get the recommended vaccines but said it was an ”extremely unusual“ and “unheard of” thing to ask someone to get vaccines. Now I feel crazy because I just want the best for my child and to avoid preventable illnesses, I don’t really know what to tell my mom if she can’t afford it , I didnt know she didnt have insurance at all. I dont want to be the person that says hey you can’t see your grandchild at all then, but I really don’t want anything bad to happen.

Im due in this month, and I tried to conceive for a while. I lost my last pregnancy halfway through. Everything was planned and I know what to expect but I am just scared of life changing so much. Maybe this is stupid or maybe everyone feels this way, but I’m like, I can’t take a long bath by myself, I can’t sleep all day, We cant just go out on dates alone without worrying about baby , I’m not prepared for living life with a baby attached to me all the time. And I live 11 hours from any friends or family and I can’t drive, everything just seems really like maybe I am doing things too soon. But now the time has come and I have to just do it. I am just worried I will hate it.

In the store closest to my house they no longer have self checkout at all. You need to either be Walmart plus member and use scan & go or spark driver to use the self checkout. Lately when we walk up with the scan ready for scan & go they say “oh the scan and go doesn’t work” But there’s always a ton of people at the registers there scanning I guess the spark driver code, which seems the same or very similar. Im confused how scan and go code wouldn’t be working but spark driver code would. They’ve been saying this for multiple days we came to the store now, some of the employees just “transferred to register” and it worked, but when we bring that up to some of them they act like they don’t know what that means. I would like to use the scan and go area since we pay for the walmart plus, the line is usually nonexistent or very short, and the other registers back up into the clothes section they’re so long. Please help lol
