I’m 4 years sober today.

Today is 4 years. I haven’t heard from anyone today. The first year I haven’t. One thing to learn is that the day starts to pass kind of like a birthday, it’s just another day. But I’m happy. I celebrated with a kickass leg day at the gym.

I wish I could tell you how to do it. But for every success story there is someone who followed the same path and failed. You will have to forge your own path. It can be frightening. I hope that you don’t stop trying though!

What happens on the days leading up to a show like Mr. Olympia?

So these guys are training to literally have their body peak at a very specific time, in a span of a day or 2. How are they doing this? It seems extremely scientific 😅

As an example (not related to this Olympia) they talk about how good someone looked on Friday, say people were even expecting to this person to win, then in a matter of 24hrs by Saturday that same person can come in and get 4th. And vice versa someone’s not looking great Friday and come in and get 1st on Saturday. What are those 2-3 days looking like for them? What are they doing throughout that time? And how calculated is it really?

16 days post open release. Day 1 back in the gym!

Incision seems to be healing well, I’ve noticed mine is smaller than most people’s! My only issue is bad popping in the carpal tunnel/guyons canal coming from my pinky and ring finger when bending them while there is pressure against them, maybe difficult to understand. This was there prior to the surgery. And it’s worse and more painful. There is still some swelling going on, and the incision area is painful to pressure. Today I was pressing 20lb dumbbells, hammer curls, rdl’s with 40lb dumbbells. I tried regular curls but it was very painful.

The interesting thing is the pressing was painful at first because the dumbbells is sitting on the incision basically, but after a couple sets it went mostly away, and it hasn’t returned yet. The popping has also gotten better since the workout. We’ll see what happened the following days but man was it nice to do some working out again!!

Day 6 Open release

Seems to be looking good. Stiches are supposed to come out in 2 days. It’s very painful if I bump it. If I barely press on it it feels like I’m shoving a needle into my wrist. I’m also often getting shocking through my hand when grabbing things or moving wrong. All in all it’s probably going well.

3 days post open release surgery

Everything seems to be going well. I’m alone so that makes things difficult, such as cooking and doing dishes. Sometimes I cause myself a little pain. I have my wrap on still and it has a plaster cast on the bottom of it to keep my wrist from bending, I feel like I don’t see that with most people? Anyway it’s annoying and I’m ready to get it off. Stitches come out after 8 days, seems a little early to me. My biggest concern is that my finger tips are still numb, anyone idea when that may go away? I’m taking 75mg Diclofenac twice a day to keep the inflammation down.

Anyone used peptides post surgery for recovery?

I have been using BPC-157 and TB500 to recovery from some years long nagging rotator cuff pain. I plan to continue this through the recovery process after my surgery. If you have done this, what was your experience like? It may be hard to compare the recovery to anything unless you’ve had bilateral and used peptides on one and not the other, but regardless how was it?

I have carpal tunnel release surgery in 5 days!

I’m really nervous. I was having a couple good months because I have mostly been working in the office. Two weeks ago I had to go back on the floor (mechanical work, welding and fabricating) to train someone who is new. I’m in really rough shape now. I could barely cook breakfast this morning. It’s also my dominant hand.

I’m mostly nervous because I love working out. I know that I won’t even able to do that immediately, but when can I expect to be working out at the same intensity as I have been lately? Mind you it’s even currently painful at times now working out but I’m still hitting pretty heavy weights. I’m also nervous because my carpal tunnel area pops every time I close my fingers, it has for years. And they’re telling me the surgery may or may not fix that they don’t know. If it doesn’t will I still have pain? I would think so…

Any pre-op and post op advice is welcome. If not, wish me luck!

Super stoked

Here is an awesome set I purchased. I continue to get lucky acquiring some absolute gems. I collect primarily eastern philosophy. Here is a first edition set of M. P. Pandit’s All Life is Yoga. All six soft cover booklets with original dust jackets (yes, those are dust jackets 😬) I know not many will be as excited as me, but that’s the beauty of book collecting.

This shit right here!

Tom Ford Soleil Niege. I’m definitely going to be buying a full bottle. One of my favorites I’ve ever smelled. Any other lovers here?

Any apartment growers here?

I’m new to growing. Currently have a couple pups I potted and a 16” rooted tip I just potted. I’m wanting to get a grow light but I’d really need something that can be tabletop. Or does anyone have any recommendations for a small grow tent with light? Also any apartment growing tips. I’m really intimidated lol

Pray for these pups. We’re gonna learn this together lol

These are Volcano 6 X Spinebender. I hope I don’t have too much inorganic in my soil mix. But can’t cactus grow in conditions with nearly no organic soil!?

What should I do with these pups?

I recently received my first cactus. It’s a Jimz twin and I purchased it already rooted and got it potted today. The person I got it from generously sent me several pups they Volcano 6 x Spinebender. I’m unsure what I should do with them but they’re awesome so I want to make sure I treat them right. They’re so small and fragile looking 😅 Would I need to graft these onto another cactus?

Contamination issue?

Can I draw up BPC and TB from separate container with the same syringe to avoid using two? If so would it be best to wipe the syringe with an alcohol wipe before going to the next vial?

Also does this change anything in terms of effectiveness? I know some people recommend using unmixed versions of BPC and TB, but I believe that is more due to degradation in the long term? Mixing them directly prior to use I’d assume makes no difference?

I wasn’t ready!

I ran 13 miles the other day and my previous long this year was 5 but with multiple 15 miles walk/runs. I noticed pain starting in my left foot near mile ten and chose to keep going…Unfortunately both of my feet have suffered badly. X-rays show no fractures but the doctors believe it’s my peroneal tendons. Unsure of an exact diagnoses right now but I’ve been advised to just rest and ice them. I’m barely able to walk at all but I still have to work. It’s got me in so much pain and just really down in general. Anyone who has dealt with issues related to the peroneal tendons, I’d love some advice!
