What if Jaime Reyes wasn't chosen to become Blue Beetle?

This is a question I've had for a few days at this point, but what if it actually happened in the comics that Jaime wouldn't be chosen as the Blue Beetle?

Well, there are a few people that could be chosen as the 3rd version of Blue Beetle, some most destined than others, but let's just say that the scarab didn't land on Earth, there could be possibilities to this, it could've landed onto another alien planet, and, if it happened, one scarab could've made a journey all the way to Oa, planet of the Green Lanterns, and found a host there despite the Reach's rivalry with the Green Lantern Corps (or GLC for short), but it could also land on other planets other than the example, maybe in an alternate timeline there is a scarab that lands on the planet closest to Earth, which is Mars if you're wondering, and maybe a Martian could've bonded with the Scarab and become another variation of the Blue Beetle, despite 2 of them being humans.

All in all, I think that if Jaime Reyes never found/bonded with the scarab, then the scarab could've bonded with someone else who found it before Jaime, or if we're talking about if it never landed on Earth in the first place, then the scarab would make a course to another planet, perhaps the 2 examples that I had provided.

But this is just my response, comment what YOU think would happen if Jaime wasn't chosen.

Anyone here remember The Invincible Iron Man (2007)?

Am I the only one who remembers The Invincible Iron Man (2007)?

For those who don't know what this animated movie is, let me break it down for you: The movie (obviously) follows Tony Stark and how he became the Iron Man we know and love today, but unlike the one with RDJ where Iron Monger is the villain, Lee Mai (possessed by the Mandarin) is the villain, and the red & gold suit is only shown for a few seconds of screen time unlike the underwater armor he had in the movie from the comics and his mark 1 suit, and as a youngling? This entire movie meant the world to me, it was my favorite Iron Man movie in history, I still fondly remember it, but question, did you ever watch it?

So... What exactly happened to the tripods?

So, we all know by the end of War of The Worlds, the Martian Tripods are now left with a dead Martian inside, so what happens to the Martian's Tripod if the Martian is removed? Well, if I had to explain, maybe sometime after 1898 or the year the invasion took place, the government would invest in the technology from the Martians and maybe, perhaps, try to make their own in case of another invasion, so if another Martian invasion happens? We'll be ready for them.

What if the Martians actually were invulnerable to the germs?

Well, to put it lightly, if the Martians in War of The Worlds weren't affected by the germs and later defeated by it, then the Martians could've made even more machines and soon after, take Earth for their own after exterminating all of the human race, which was their primary goal after life on Mars was fumbling and had nothing for life to thrive in, like how in the intro for the Jeff Wayne musical where the Martian Taxi is walking, you can see a flower on Mars wilting and later die out because of how bad life is fumbling on the red planet near Earth itself, so in conclusion, if germs weren't so affective to the Martians in War of The Worlds, then the Martians would have completely terraformed Earth and made the human race go extinct and now leaving Earth as their new home to thrive in other than the planet that they came from that had fumbled at life many times, and to add onto this, the NASA part wouldn't happen as well because, well, Human life is extinct if the Martians weren't affected by the germs.
