Sister expects me to pay mortgage and parents are trying to guilt trip me. Any advice?

My sister and husband went and brought a $400k home that they can’t technically afford. Every month I’m having to pay half because I don’t want them in foreclosure.

2013 Hyundai sonata has a rough idling

Anyone know what it could be?

It’s like most of the noise is coming from the passenger cabin side. Changed cabin filter and motor blower.

Fixed the leak but still the garage smells musty like mold

Hello

2-3 months ago we had a mysterious leak. My husband caught and fixed it. He removed the ceiling where there was mold on the dry wall in the garage.

The area is still opened. We had a mold/water specialist come the next day and he said everything was dry and the subfloor looked brand new.

Then two more came the next month and one the next.

However the garage still smells terrible. Some days it’s fine but when it’s hot and rain it smells. I have a dehumidifier in there and it’s not overly crowded. I inspect the area everyday and nothing is there. Is a musty smell for sure mold?

Corner of wall soft when pushed

I was cleaning and discovered the corner of a wall in my daughter’s room is soft. I pushed some in with my finger.

My husband said it’s always been that way when we moved it almost 7 years ago.

I called plumbing- no pipes in that area.

Roofing- had a new roof a year ago and said everything looked fine.

Water/Mold guy- had a special camera and meter and said everything was completely dry. He said no mold as well. We cut an area so he could see.

My question is why would it be soft there?

Will it be ok to seal the wall back?

What started as simply cleaning up a room for my daughter. I let a family live in for a few years. The floor felt wet. My husband pulled back the carpet and we found a “wet spot on the wood.” I grabbed the fan and put it there and then started searching the room. The corner of the wall felt “soft” when I pushed with my finger it indented.

Called plumbing- no pipes there

Roofing- got a new roof a year ago and nothing found.

Mold/ water specialist- confirmed inside the wall ( small area where my husband cut and up the wall was dry)

Then a few days the spot still didn’t dry. It felt oily. I dabbed dawn and finally feels like it’s drying. I brought carpet padding and will replace. Is it ok to close everything back up or should I investigate more?

Will oil soaked through carpet cause mold?

I have a terrible fear of mold.

I had someone living in the guest room and the floor felt oily. When we pulled the area up it was wet underneath but it was oily/greasy. It penetrated all the way to the wood. I dabbed the area with baking soda and it’s drying now. However, some other areas of the floor feels wet. I have a steamer, if I steam will that be enough?

Will it be dumb to submit a request to add another driveway? [Nc] [All]

between one of my neighbors and I there’s plenty of room. My driveway barely fit two cars and my daughter has to park on the street. The Crcc isn’t specific it just says sibmit a request and a request is. $35

It’s safe to say my bad neighbors aren’t moving anytime soon.

I’ve moved in 7 years ago and they moved in one year before me. They keep the yard a mess. Block my driveway, trash in my yard, kids in my yard.

I live in a middle class area. It’s about 6 of them there. The mom and dad does construction and are drunks. They have brought trampolines, gazebos, redone the garage, and all types of things like they are there to stay. The house next door is $3000 a month so I have no idea how they are affording.

I brought a home staying by terrible neighbors. What now?

I moved here 6 years ago and they haven’t changed. They throw a party every weekend. it’s 6 adults and 1 child. The matriarch the mom thinks my house is her extension so when she has parties she has guests block my driveway. When I work nights have them park in my driveway. Her grandson was selling drugs in front of my place to not make their house hot. He ended getting killed. This past weekend they had their guests park in front of my house and their child ran into my car with their power wheel and put a small dent in it.

I call the cops, HOA and nothing gets done.

Their landlord is a mega company and hard to get a touch of. I love my house but hate them as neighbit’s. Apparently all the other neighbors hate them too but it doesn’t bother them because they don’t live next door to them.

When I leave the neighbors block my driveway?

I’ve been dealing with this for two years. They throw parties on the weekends and have their guest literally block my driveway. When I lived alone and kept my car in the garage they used my driveway and had their kids playing in my driveway.

I contacted their landlord and HOA, called the police and they stopped for a while.

Now every time I go to work (night shift) or leave they tell their guests to park blocking my driveway.

they are renters and have been here forever.

What’s next?

about a month ago. I noticed water in my garage lightbulb. I called the plumber and he cut the sheet rock and found mold. The leak was coming from the upstairs bathroom faucet. But traveled to the light which was by the washer. This was weird because they are not that close.

I called water/ mold inspectora and they said the sub floor was dry and looked new. They told my husband since al the moldy products were removed to put back the insulation and patch it back up. They said to let it air out for a while.

We haven’t seen anymore water coming. But the garage reeks of musty odors. especially when hot and humid or after rain. I started running a dehumidifier and it has helped. But I’m afraid it’s mold somewhere that wasn’t caught. What should I do? Patch everything back up?
