Why not drop the option of "marriage" altogether?

This query is posed to all guys/gals who are already DINK or CF couples OR intend to be one (like me)

I have been thinking this for a while and unable to find a convincing answer myself. If I choose DINK/CF, then why can't I extend the same logic to say, I prefer not to have 'marriage' to avoid potential headaches in the future?

Why can't I choose a Live-in relationship? By adopting this, both parties do not have to worry about post-marriage issues like separation, divorce, allegations about adultery, etc.

Would be great to get your views and that would help me.

Faddy should have done what TVK did and save Maha consumes. The Adani "smart meter" is very controversial.

One of the most common and major complaints so far is that the billing goes astronomically higher once you allow it to be changed to Adani smart meter.

Even Maha should have not allowed the mandatory imposition.

Your opinions please?

Errata: Typo "consumes" in the title. ...read it as "Consumer"

Isn't it a high time that a law be enacted to stop and/or restrict new Places of Worship? Looking at the huge numbers mushrooming every other day, I guess the already scarce resources (money) be better utilised towards social causes - hospitals, subsidised education, etc?

The above thought has been going on in my mind, particularly because of the increasing instances of religious disharmony.

Broader features of the suggested law are as follows:

1.  STOP any new places of worship – any religion

2.  If a total “STOP” is difficult or not fair, then introduce a “RESTRICTIVE” clause whereby, a new Place of Worship may be allowed ONLY IF there is no place of worship of that particular religion within a “Bus/Train” travelling distance of 10 Km from the proposed place of worship

  1. Do not touch existing places of worship. Let it be treated as ‘fait accompli’

  2. The trust or the proposer of the new place of worship to provide a legal declaration that no places of worship exists within the said 10 Km. The Govt authorities to inspect and verify the declaration.

I would be happy to receive your views

I think Pradhan Edu Minister will Resign before 6th June. What do you think?

My reasoning: This establishment has employed multiple Central Agencies on the ground, all the time, to provide them the "pulse" of the 'thinking' amongst citizens on every single issue. Additionally, Crores of Rupees are spent on private agencies for the same information harvesting.

So, they may be warned that this "movement" has the potential to explode suddenly which is the last thing they want to happen.

Hence, Paw Paw will prefer to PRE-EMPT any such incidences so as to deny advantages to the opposition or CJP.

Hence, I strongly feel that the Minister will go... either through self resignation or dismissal (so paw paw can take credit) or quoting "health" reasons.

I would be curious to know views from fellow Redditors .

China’s anxieties about India stem from "the success of a democratic political system". Disagree, where's the "success" in a fully "Compliant" environment?

Some conversations/articles like above are meaningless.

It says that China’s anxieties about India extend beyond geopolitics and stem from the success of a democratic political system coexisting with economic growth.

And adds that....

"For China, which is a single-party state that has told its people that democracy is not necessary for progress, it becomes difficult after a point to explain how another neighbour (India), equally large, diverse and complex, can elect its leaders and continue to grow"

I disagree to a larger extent. In fact, in the current times, we are also being led to a disguised democracy that seeks a "single party" regime. My views are based on the damages and non-independence observed across Important Institutions in India.

What are your opinions? Would really appreciate counter views.

It's my Birthday and feel that my NC parents should realise their narc behaviour.

It's my birthday and the narc parents come to mind even though I am NC. It's not out of love.

I wanted to do something different to wake them up to realise that they were Narcs in the truest sense. Any thoughts?
