Hi! I barely see anyone talking about working at a tjmaxx warehouse online, so I really don’t know what to expect. If anyone works in a warehouse that mainly deals with clothing and home goods, especially since TJX sells those types of items, could you tell me what it’s like?

Hi! So I’m kinda worried about how well I’m actually doing… I feel like I’m definitely slow at learning how to drive, which makes me a little sad and also pretty worried since my driving test is coming up next week. I still have a bit of trouble with my left and right turns especially. I also rely too much on my instructor to tell me what to do at times.

My instructor said that my driving is pretty good, but that I need to work on not being so fearful. They told me that I have to control the car and not let the car control me. I’m also still working on my steering and stopping, as well as making sure I’m paying attention to signs.

I’m still quite nervous when driving. Even the day before a lesson, I get really nervous and my heart starts racing. I feel like I could possibly drive by myself, but I still get pretty scared. I don’t know what to do anymore… I have 4 upcoming lessons, and I pray that I’ll be able to get it by then. I don’t know what to do. I feel like I need some reassurance, please.

Hi! So I already called the hiring manager and left a voicemail, but they haven’t gotten back to me yet. It’s only been less than a day, but I’m honestly feeling impatient because I really want to talk to the hiring manager about my application.

I’m thinking about going to the store right when it opens and asking if I can speak with the hiring manager. Am I being a bit too pushy or impatient, especially since I already left a voicemail and haven’t really given them time to get back to me? I’m not sure what to do.

Hi! I’ll be turning 18 in about two weeks, and I’d really like to apply for a warehouse position at Home Depot.

I know the minimum age requirement is 18, but since I’ll be 18 very soon, I was wondering if there’s any chance I could still apply now or if Home Depot ever makes exceptions in situations like this.

If I can apply before my birthday, should I put that I’m 18 on the online application so it doesn’t automatically filter out my application, or should I answer truthfully that I’m still 17 and just wait?

I’m just worried that if I wait until my birthday, the position might already be filled. I very much appreciate your advice on this, thanks you!!

So I’m trying to get into CLS 261, CLS 262, DH 100, and DH 102. I really need these classes because they are prerequisites for the Dental Hygiene program, and it seems like only CSN offers them, so I can’t really take them at another college and transfer them in.

I really don’t want to have to wait a whole other year if there is any way around it. Please, any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi! I’d really appreciate some advice on this.

I’m apartment hunting right now, and having an in-unit washer and dryer is an absolute must for me. I found a $700/month apartment that seems pretty nice. It has stainless steel appliances and hardwood flooring, but utilities are not included in the rent.

The only issue is that it does not come with a washer and dryer. It does have washer/dryer hookups, though, so I could buy my own set if I choose this apartment.

The other apartments I’ve been looking at that already include an in-unit washer and dryer are usually around $950–$1,200/month.

So now I’m wondering what would make the most sense financially: should I take the cheaper $700 apartment and buy my own washer and dryer, or should I keep looking for a more expensive apartment that already includes them?

I’m new to apartment hunting, so I’m not sure what the smarter choice would be. Thank you!

Hi! The title pretty much says it all. I already talked to my advisor and a financial aid counselor about this, but they told me my only option for getting extra money is to apply for scholarships.

However, I swear I’ve heard of people being able to negotiate or appeal for more financial aid at UNLV, so now I’m confused. I just want to make sure I’m not missing any possible options.

Has anyone here been able to successfully appeal their financial aid offer or get additional aid somehow? Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you so much!

Sorry, this is probably a really common issue people bring up in this sub, but I barely know how to write. Maybe I’m overcomplicating things, but my grammar knowledge is really rusty, and at best, I feel like my writing level is around middle school.

I feel like there’s so much about writing that I don’t even know where to start. First, I think I need to relearn grammar before I can even begin thinking about writing the stories I want to write. But I’m sure there’s also a lot more I need to learn beyond that.

Any advice would be really appreciated, and please recommend any books that could help me!
