Beginner Questions

Which God Eater game would be good to start with ?

How difficult is combat? I am not a good gamer.

I like Monster Hunter but I find the boring slot of a story and long cutscenes to get in the way of the game I wanted to play which was fighting monsters. Does this game have shorter cutscenes and an easy story to follow without me having to take notes on subplots, etc?

How easy is it to find others to join?

Thank-you for your kindness and help.

New Player Questions

Hi,

I just started the game a month ago after a Gamestop employee suggested I get the game. I thought the chaotic gameplay wouldn't be fun at first but now I really like the game.

There are still a lot of features I don't understand.

What is Global Win Power or level number for?

Waking up At 3AM

All,

Desperate for sleep here. I have been going through an extended phase now where I keep waking up at 3AM after a few hours of sleep and I am getting desperate for more sleep. Work stress, etc may be a culprit and I would like to know if there are any relaxation, mental exercises I can practice to get a bit more sleep or if you can help me understand the situation. Thank-you.

Book Suggestion Needed

Hi all,

I am finishing up the Hobbit and while I initially loved the story being a D&D fan, toward the end the writing got verbose and too wordy for me. It was hard for me to understand what Tolkien was talking about. Sorry for those LoTR fans. What are other action packed or suspenseful books that are shorter and more to the point? THank-you. I am old but do have a low level reading ability.

New Player Questions

I just started playing the game again today and glad I gave the game another chance. I am having fun battling monsters in Feerrott and the connecting Swamp but not sure if I am missing other stuff I am supposed to do or search for? How do i know what I am supposed to do in the game?

Will there be expansions in this game?

I am a first time Everquest player.

Thank-you

Levelling for Casual Players

Hi. I am a casual player of a few hours per week or so and would like to know how much faster the levelling in this game is compared to a Frost Reaver server in EQ1? I would just like to be able to rush through the levelling to be able to explore and level fast. I do like EQ1 a lot but the levelling is rather slow at times. Thank-you

Update for Starting EQ1

After reading a lot of the comments, it seemed the TLP server Frost Reaver would be a good option as a casual player of 1-3 hours every week or so. I joined and there were a lot of kind people in the chat willing to help. Many kept telling me to join a guild but I didn't see any guilds or groups so now I am soloing the content and asking hundreds of questions.

Just Starting EQ1

I am just starting a new character and not sure if EQL would be a better pick for a casual player of a few hours per week. So far the combat is not too difficulty but not sure how hard later levels will be. I do prefer the UI in EQ1 so prefer not to start EQL unless if there is a need. Thank-you

Good Game for a Casual Player

Would this game be a good fit if I only game a few hours per week or would it take too long of a grind to get much done and to get to better content? Thank-you

Enduring Popularity of WoW

I have started MMOs 5 months ago and played among other games, WoW Retail. I am a casual player and while I do recognize that the game has good features, I wonder why it has teh popularity it does. I got completely lost in the plot and story and eventually stopped playing it in favor of other MMOs.

Do you think the game is popular because it is much better than other games or for some other reason?

Everquest 1 for Casual Players

All,

I have recently gotten into the Everquest games especially EQ2 which is a great game. I tried Everquest Legends but found the UI compared to EQ1 to be rough at launch so I am not interested in EQL. I have heard that EQ1 is not a good fit for casual players like myself who only play a few hours per week or so. Is that true and what issues would I have with EQ1 as a casual player? Thank-you.

Multiplayer Questions

I like multiplayer games where I can join randos and am thinking of getting this game. Is there a lobby or random matchmaking where I can join randos and if so is it easy to find others for games? Is multiplayer a separate mode? Thank-you.

Volume vs. Intensity

I am looking to adjust my training routine to add more size and strength. Is there a recommended weekly set count for each major body part to optimize muscle and strength? Are more sets usually better for gains?

When I add sets I have to drop the weight so don't know whether it is better to lift more or do more sets? Thank-you

WoW Retail Story Confusion

All,

I am in Midnight and every time they bring me to a new zone I have no context about the MSQ. I am lost on what is going on, who is who, etc. Is it just something I have to accept about the game or is there something more I should do ? Thank-you

A Good Game for Casual Players

I only game a few hours per week and other MMOs have a higher learning curve with features. Is this a good game to play for a casual player like myself?

How easy is it to follow the story?

Is there an active chat and group content?
