Everquest 1 for Casual Players

All,

I have recently gotten into the Everquest games especially EQ2 which is a great game. I tried Everquest Legends but found the UI compared to EQ1 to be rough at launch so I am not interested in EQL. I have heard that EQ1 is not a good fit for casual players like myself who only play a few hours per week or so. Is that true and what issues would I have with EQ1 as a casual player? Thank-you.

Multiplayer Questions

I like multiplayer games where I can join randos and am thinking of getting this game. Is there a lobby or random matchmaking where I can join randos and if so is it easy to find others for games? Is multiplayer a separate mode? Thank-you.

Volume vs. Intensity

I am looking to adjust my training routine to add more size and strength. Is there a recommended weekly set count for each major body part to optimize muscle and strength? Are more sets usually better for gains?

When I add sets I have to drop the weight so don't know whether it is better to lift more or do more sets? Thank-you

WoW Retail Story Confusion

All,

I am in Midnight and every time they bring me to a new zone I have no context about the MSQ. I am lost on what is going on, who is who, etc. Is it just something I have to accept about the game or is there something more I should do ? Thank-you

A Good Game for Casual Players

I only game a few hours per week and other MMOs have a higher learning curve with features. Is this a good game to play for a casual player like myself?

How easy is it to follow the story?

Is there an active chat and group content?

The lasting appeal of Wizard 101

How many of you play this game as your main MMO and what is its appeal compared to the many other big MMOs out there?

What is Your Review

You all have had a chance to read my review of the game but I would like to hear yours. As a general historian myself in a lot of areas, Everquest 2 holds a special place in MMOs. It obviously isn't as big as some of the other games with player count. I would like to hear from you what you think of the game. Do you have any complaints or is it just a game that people have overlooked in favor of inferior games like WoW or FFXIV?

My Review

I just started playing the game yesterday and wow was I amazed with the graphics, writing and gameplay. I love the animations that my necromancer makes when making moves and I find the writing for the quests to be pretty solid. Typically I do find a lot of the writing in MMOs to be hard to follow and poorly written but this game is excellent. My only two complaints so far maybe to give it 4.5 out of 5 stars is that I don't see a lot of group content yet and I don't see an option to adjust the UI size in windowed mode. I do like taking a lot of notes on the quest and I don't know how to jump between full screen and my desktop easily.

Update: Just Started

I just started playing today based on the strong recommendations I received early. The game is great so far and I am real excited. Seems like a big online community as well. I hope the story doesn't get too complex in future expansions.

What Games and Modules are Good for Solo Play

Hi. Due to time contraints, toxicity, etc, for now I would like to play tabletop games solo. I have tried the Dragonbane module but was sorely disappointed with the adventure as I wasn't sure what to do with it. Can you recommend any modules or systems that I can use to run solo adventures? Should I just pick a regular module and use an emulator with it? Thank-you

EQ2 Story

Hi,

I am looking for an MMO with a story but I have difficulty following complicated plots. Is the EQ2 story easy to understand and follow? Thank-you

Update: Got the Game

Based upon the helpful reviews here, I got the game for Playstation. It is def a casual game and is easy for me to learn while still having some skills to learn. I was able to win a match and even score some points. I tried to play nba 2k but I like this game a lot more so far. It is easy to learn and allows for short sessions. Thank-you all

A Good Game for Casual Players

Hi,

I am just a casual gamer of a few hours per week and would like to know if this is a good game to play. Is it easy to learn and master where I can at least win some games with little learning? Also is it easy to find other randos for multiplayer on same team or is it just 1v1? Thank-you

What Games are You Playing at the Moment?

I hear a lot as a newcomer of the genre that most still play WoW but I am curious what games people here are actually playing and if you actually like WoW or prefer other games?

Classic Vs. Retail

I have started WoW with Midnigtht REtail but got completely lost on the story and left. I am a casual player of 2-4 hours most weeks. I just don't have an interest to game more than that. Would Classic be an ok option for a casual gamer like myself or would different issues arise? Thank-you

All,

This game was included in my PS5 sub so I at least was able to try it. I didn't have as much complaint as some about the console version but the font size was awful. How does the font and game compare on PC? Thank-you. Also is this mostly a solo game or is it easy to find randos?

I had played Ark but was completely lost and wiped out and not looking for the same exact game.

How does the combat difficulty in this game compare to Ark.

Also how can I find other players on Playstation to join?

Does this game play like an MMO ?

I may get it on Steam later( need more PC memory first ). Thank-you.
