PSA for all of them

I know you think your dogs are accessory but they’re not. They’re living beings who need stimulation and companionship. I hope this helps in case you had any questions about being a responsible dog owner! Sending lots of love 🥰❤️🙏

Sleep paralysis demon

Why does she always film them getting to know each other, I feel like I’m intruding on someone’s private conversation. I don’t need to know that she’s learning about how Cal organizes his dresser.

Also the “what happens if you need to get dressed fast” And the amount of people in the comments agreeing that they’re shocked that’s not a problem other people have. Like yes because normal people who have commitments plan accordingly so we can get ready and be places on time.

Zoomies run club

Who even runs zoomies when they’re constantly traveling. What is the point of having an event about YOU when you’re not even there. Yes you can make friends and want to see them each week but they wouldn’t be there if it weren’t for you. I hope they’re at least compensating the pacers in some kind of way

Why are their fans so weird

Posting real time like they’re at a concert??? It’s literally run club and you’re running, nobody is expecting or caring if you post every mile you run. I would actually much rather a video with clips of each mile time because if I have to physically tap through multiple stories of each mile you complete I will actually throw my phone across the room.

Why do they have a chauffeur service…

Complain about not having money to do stuff but then hire a car service to shuttle them around, because that’s not tone deaf whatsoever.

What exactly are they doing?

The only things I’ve seen are them singing and dancing, why do they have their own booth at Lolla? I’ve never been so do they normally invite random influencers to “perform” and people actually spend their time going to see them instead of the actual artists performing??? Besides their black outfits, they look like they’re going to 3 separate events, what is going on.

Also the teeth gems look like braces, you can’t convince me otherwise.

How much of the marathon did Cal run in?

I thought Cal gave Ameya his bib and he ran the 5k because he wasn’t running the full? But then he ended up pacing her for the end and got a medal? And I saw the bib he had was that from a previous year? I understand he was pacing her but if he wasn’t participating I don’t understand how he got the medal. In other big marathons like NYC, they are very strict about people hopping onto the course or trying to get a medal if they don’t have a proper bib. I find it surprising that someone like Cal would disrespect the sport like that so maybe I’m mistaken about the situation?

Also there tooth gems look like the braces without the wire, anybody else see it?

Haven't gotten corral yet

I only applied through a tour operator last week and got approved on Friday night. I still don't see any corral information even though I submitted a qualifying time, do I just need to wait?

SF marathon corrals

I don’t know that much about Cal but why did he transfer his bib to Ameya knowing that she is a back of the pack runner and he is an Elite runner. Being in the wrong corral is a huge safety issue if someone is not physically able to keep up. Not to mention it is extremely frustrating when you are trying to go at a certain pace but there are people not supposed to be there and you can’t pass them or it’s causing bottlenecking. Not to mention that people in the faster waves are usually not filming themselves because they don’t need to make content every 5 seconds.
In every race I’ve participated in, even if you get assigned a certain corral you are always able to go back corrals but you’re not able to just jump ahead of you don’t have that corral on your bib. But because her corral was assigned for her, it makes it even worse in my opinion. Her vlog panicking that everyone in her corral was so much faster and then tripping is exactly the reason why she shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Imagine she tripped and brought down other people or caused people to have to quickly move out of the way which could create a variety of domino effects.
It’s not only really a self absorbed way of participating in the sport but it’s also such a safety issue. For anybody who thinks that they are positive “role models” for the sport, I implore you to think objectively about the situation or find a comparison to something you are more familiar to your own life. I liked Cal’s content before he was so intertwined with theirs but now I have lost a lot of respect for him as well because you are who you surround yourself with unfortunately. Especially influencers who you can know everything about their lives.
Side note but how does Ameya keep her phone charged during these marathons, she is out for 6+ hours, plus filming, plus listening to whatever, plus whatever she was doing on her phone before the race. I don’t understand it at all and hope to anyone that was influenced to run by these girls that you find more positive role models who show true sportsmanship.

Marathon tour groups?

Does anyone have any experience with any of the tour operators for Chicago? My parents are looking to visit Chicago this fall specifically and I haven’t had any luck with the lottery, I don’t want to keep their trip waiting for my chances of getting in so I would be fine financially going the tour operator route. Would love to be able to also be in town the same time my family is. Thanks in advance!

Reading aloud notifications with 3rd party headphones

Can someone explain why I’m able to hear turn by turn directions and hear notifications from my running watch when I close a mile but not any other notifications? Is there some sort of accessibility setting I can change maybe? I love hearing texts on my AirPods but can’t use them for running.

Hearing texts through Shokz with iPhone

How is it that I’m able to hear my laps on my garmin and turn by turn directions but not texts. I feel like all of the information I see says that having shokz read notifications is not possible like it is on AirPods but is there a 3rd party app or something I can do in accessibility settings to make this possible?

Volunteering during the summer

I’ve only ever volunteered during the spring, but I’m a course marshal this Sunday at Achilles. Are we allowed to bring a bag for water/food? I’ve never really had to worry about the heat before or always had a coat or something. Or is there somewhere I can store my bag.

Jackson Heights/Flushing food recs?

Does anybody know if it's possible to do a decent food crawl at trucks or quick eats? I know of Dosa Delight and Angel and Bodhi Village but am looking for more grab and go options. Thanks in advance!

Run club etiquette

I would never go to their run club because it seems too unorganized but considering they don’t respect the sport or training I can’t expect that they respect public spaces and they take up the whole sidewalk. So disrespectful to other groups or solo runners minding their business, especially when they’re screaming, jumping, doing their chaos. I don’t even know where they do their route but there’s enough run clubs as it is basically in all of the “good running spots.” Also hosting a run club in 80 degree weather when you can assume most of the participants aren’t prepared heat wise is so irresponsible. I’m not saying you can’t be a fan of theirs and also a serious runner but considering none of them provide any useful information or tips, it’s not like their fan base would have that knowledge bestowed upon them by the girls directly. Reminds me of last year when Ameya didn’t realize Kuma was overheating during their walk…

Americana 5K in Centerville reviews

I grew up in Centerville but moved away, family still lives there. Going to be in town 4th of July weekend for the first time in awhile. Does anybody have any information on the general vibe of the Americana 5K? Do most people walk or will I look like a jerk for taking it seriously?

For context, I think I’m pretty fast (sub 20 5K) and don’t want to be stuck weaving in and out. Also what is the parking and/or drop off situation? Do a lot of people run this? I just want to know what I am getting myself into before signing up. I live in a big city so am used to having like 5,000 people at a 5K race but have never done anything small and hometown.

Best Travel Credit Card for 26yo

I'm 26, make $70,000, have a credit score of 778 and live by myself in NYC. I don't really go out a lot but do enjoy cooking at home and really only spend money on a coffee or pastry when I'm out and about. The current credit cards in my rotation are as follows.

Capital One Savor, this was one of the first ones I got out of college and really only use when dining out. I just traveled abroad and liked that I had no foreign transaction fees and keep my money in my Capital One savings account for the interest but otherwise, this card isn't really used that much.

American Express Blue Cash Preferred, this is a more recent card I've had for a few months that I like for the 5% back on grocery. I also like the Hulu credit but otherwise don't know if I'm maximizing this card enough.

Apple Card, I like that if I use Apple Pay I get 2% back on anything and I am very tapped into Apple Ecosystem

Citi Custom Cash card, only use for transit so I can get 5% back

Amazon card, I shop at Amazon and Whole Foods often and like that I get the 5% back, the only thing I use it for.

I travel domestically 3-4 times a year (to visit family and they are typically 2 hour flights so I don't need to be premium or first class), am not loyal to any specific airline but since I live in NYC, I obviously have a lot of options. I prefer flying out of LaGuardia though as it's closest. I probably travel internationally once a year but if I have a good travel card, would be open to traveling maybe a couple times a year. I really am just looking for the ability to be efficient with my travel and make the most out of whichever card it is. I am open to an annual fee as long as I get a lot back out of it.

I have the usual subscriptions, Hulu/Disney (through my AE BCP), YouTube premium, YouTube TV, Netflix, Paramount+, Peacock, I am an avid Lululemon shopper know AMEX Platinum has the credit. I have a budget gym because not close to an Equinox. Probably my biggest expenses are rent, utilities, grocery, and then transit.
