My 3rd & Final Time Seeing “The End of Oak Street”

My 3rd & Final Time Seeing “The End of Oak Street”

I really do love this movie. Besides Ewan McGregor’s hilariously bad American accent, some weird camera shots at the beginning, and some weird dialogue at certain moments that didn’t make any sense, I thoroughly enjoyed myself even seeing it for a 3rd time.

For reference I only saw this three times because each time I introduced somebody new to Cinemark’s D Box Motion & Rumble seats.

First it was me by myself, then it was me & my mom & dad, and then finally it was me & my sister.

They all thoroughly enjoyed the movie and also really enjoyed the D box seats.

The movies ending was very cool as well and really makes you think beyond what’s just showed on screen & the acting performance particularly by Anne Hathaway was extremely impressive.

It’s such a shame this movie is bombing at the box office. It’s really good.

I will be buying this on 4K most likely when it comes out so I can see the super good CGI in all its amazing glory.

My Letterboxd score is staying around a 4 or 4 1/2 stars out of 5.

Watch this movie when you can, you won’t be disappointed.

IT ENDS Review (8/17/26 Secret Movie)

Probably the most boring “horror” movie I have ever seen in my life; 1st half is super boring, 2nd half is better but still not what I would call a horror movie by any means, 3rd half was straight buns. The acting by our main 4 leads (no spoilers) was decent especially regarding the chemistry but that’s all it gets from me. Very glad I saw this for only 35¢ (Thanks Fandango) My Letterboxd score is going to be 2 stars at most. I was REALLY hoping the secret movie was Buddy 😭

Are we deadass right now?

If your dealership is using AI to try to grab someone’s attention, I WILL NOT be buying from your dealership.

I also posted the other day about the other one floating in mid air.

Stop this stupid shit!

You know it’s sad when…Update

TLDR: Decided to go to the movies even though nobody wanted to come with me, saw The End Of Oak Street, LOVED IT, did D Box for the first time, LOVED IT, bought a super cool collectors cup too from Black Phone 2, LOVE IT TOO

I decided to get out of the house instead of being sad nobody was going to go with me and went and saw The End Of Oak Street in D Box.

This movie was directed by the same guy, David Robert Mitchell, who directed It Follows which I didn’t know before watching this movie! I knew this movie was good for a reason!

This was my first time trying out Cinemark’s D Box motion & rumble seats & HOLY CRAP! I’m not going to spoil anything about the movie but when the action scenes hit THEY REALLY HIT, I could feel every rumble from the cars to the massive violent shakes and everything in between. I had it on the max rumble & movement setting and OH MY GOD I was being THROWN around at times and when the movie suddenly went from being very quiet to sudden action it scared me a little IN A GOOD WAY.

That was AWESOME and what else was AWESOME is that I got the ticket for only $8.56 because I applied one of my movie credits but even at the full price of $21.80 I would say it’s still worth it for a movie like this but I can imagine D Box isn’t great for every movie for sure, but it was for this one!

Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor were really good in the movie and so were the kids but Anne Hathaway STOLE the show. She was AMAZING in this movie especially during the kitchen scene. That scene in particular was insane!

Also, shout out to Starbuck. You’re the GOAT!

Also, the CGI was AMAZING!!

Again, I have to mention the kitchen scene (no spoilers)

My only problem with the movie was towards the beginning & middle of the movie it had some weird camera shots being focused & out of focused at the same time when characters were talking.

THE ENDING WAS INSANE!

Once you take a second and realize what the ending really means you’ll be shocked.

Also I got a super cool Black Phone 2 collector cup that was only $3 more than a normal large coke, came with coke originally, and got a free refill when I was leaving the theatre so I was stoked about that! I actually haven’t seen either of the Black Phone movies, I need to.

Thanks for reading!

Drop some comments if you’ve seen the movie or what you think about D Box!

You know it’s sad when…

You invite your friends to Cinemark to go see a movie & you even offer to pay for their concessions and they all say no. I like going to the movies alone, mostly. However, at times it gets lonely and I wish I had someone who wanted to go see them with me consistently and not just once every two months.

If you guys have a partner or friends who go with you to the movies a lot, cherish that.

Not all of us have that.

Yes, you’re reading the price correctly. I paid a whopping 35¢ after applying Fandangos Apple Pay promo code! Even if the movie is horrible I literally paid less than a pack of gum! Let’s goooooo! I hope it’s Buddy!

Need help with this restoration, $5 paid

So basically I had a different version of this photo restored as you can see and it came out great and then 5 minutes after getting it framed on the wall she found a different photo she wants in the spot instead lol, in my opinion this should be a fairly simple request to fulfill as it looks like these two shots were taken the same day because the clothing is exactly the same

REMOVE THE WHITE BORDER TOO, basically the same digitized look of the other
PLEASE ABSOLUTELY NO AI, I hate how artificial AI looks.

Also, I need it to be LANDSCAPE with the same background as the other (subject to change - mom has to approve the final product) so I can hang it on the wall in a 20x30 frame so please ensure the final product is at the maximum DPI possible (300 MINIMUM) and maximum resolution too!

Please restore and match the colors and please pay careful attention to the hands and feet of the individuals, especially the hands holding the baby in the photo from the woman. It’s hard to make out so that’s why I needed an expert, something I am not.

Also, please make it in super focus. I want this to shine on the wall.

I am NOT asking for it to be exactly the same texture of the other one, just a professional job. Again, my mom gets the final say.

Let’s do this!

Thank You!!

Guys, thoughts?? Help?

I’ve made quite a few posts trying to find a good upgrade from our current 65 inch G3 OLED with some slight burn in for a huge living room with very far away recliners (my parents choice not mine) around 19 feet away. We’ve already measured and where the TV is we have a fireplace below it so our maximum size we can do is 85 inches but we want the quality of OLED and its viewing angles.

I recently went and looked at an open box fair condition 83 inch G5 OLED in fair condition and it was really bad. It had severe burn in and had 3000 plus hours.

What about this option though? It just recently became available on BestBuy.com at a BeatBuy store about 3 hours from me. The difference is this time it’s in excellent condition. Thoughts? Thanks

85-inch TCL QM8K open-box for $1,383 vs. 98-inch QM7K at a 19-foot viewing distance?

I’m trying to replace the 65-inch LG G3 OLED currently in our living room because it looks way too small from our roughly 19-foot viewing distance.

In my previous post, I was deciding between three options:

An 83-inch LG G5 OLED in open-box Fair condition for about $1,700

A 98-inch TCL QM8K

A 100-inch Hisense U7

I’ve mostly ruled out all three for different reasons.
The 98-inch QM8K was about three hours away. When I tried to arrange getting it, the store apparently couldn’t locate it or said they didn’t actually have it available.

The 83-inch G5 is also about three hours away. It’s an incredible price, but because it’s open-box Fair, it was probably a display model. I’m concerned about the number of hours on the OLED panel, possible burn-in or screen damage, missing packaging, and safely transporting an extremely thin 83-inch OLED for three hours. Even if the picture quality is better, I don’t really want to deal with all those risks.

I also ruled out the 100-inch Hisense U7 because I’m not particularly confident in Hisense as a brand, especially for long-term ownership.

My current decision is now between:

1. 85-inch TCL QM8K — Open-Box Good for $1,383
This one is available much closer to me. It should have noticeably better brightness, local dimming, black levels and blooming control than the QM7K. Since I’m coming from an OLED, I feel like the better picture quality might make the transition to Mini-LED less disappointing.

2. 98-inch TCL QM7K
The QM7K is a lower-tier television than the QM8K, but the 98-inch size would make a lot more sense from 19 feet away. It could also be delivered and professionally installed by Best Buy, which removes the transportation problem.
My biggest concern is whether I would regret choosing the 85-inch QM8K because it still might look somewhat small from 19 feet. On the other hand, I’m worried that I would regret choosing the 98-inch QM7K because of the weaker local dimming, increased blooming and lower overall picture quality compared with the QM8K and my current OLED.

The 85-inch QM8K would still be a major upgrade from 65 inches, while the 98-inch QM7K would provide the much bigger cinematic effect I originally wanted.

At a 19-foot viewing distance, would you choose the better-performing 85-inch QM8K for $1,383, or sacrifice some picture quality for the much larger 98-inch QM7K?

Also, does $1,383 sound like a good price for an 85-inch QM8K in open-box Good condition, assuming the screen is clean and all the important accessories are included?

Need honest advice: 83" LG G5 OLED vs 98" TCL QM8K vs 100" Hisense U75QG

I'm having a really hard time deciding and would appreciate some honest opinions from people who have experience with these TVs.

I'm currently using a 65-inch LG G3 OLED, but our living room is about 19 feet from the couch to the TV, and honestly, the 65" just feels too small for the room. The G3 is also starting to develop some burn-in, so I'm looking to replace it.

I've narrowed it down to these three options, all from Best Buy Open Box:

  • 100" Hisense U75QG (Open Box - Good): $1,188.99
  • 98" TCL QM8K (Open Box - Good): $1,727.99
  • 83" LG G5 OLED (Open Box - Fair): $1,776.99

I know the G5 will have the best picture quality overall, but I'm wondering if the jump from 83" to 98-100" is worth giving up OLED for, especially at a 19-foot viewing distance.

A few things that matter to me:

  • Movies and streaming
  • Xbox Series X gaming
  • HDR performance
  • Reliability/long-term ownership
  • Overall value for the money

I also have about $1,100 in Best Buy store credit, so the prices above are before applying that credit.

If this were your money, which TV would you buy and why? Would you stick with OLED at 83", or would you go much larger with the TCL or Hisense?

I'd really appreciate any advice, especially from anyone who's owned or seen these TVs in person. Thanks!

OPEN BOX 83 INCH G5 OLED - WORTH IT OR NAH?

Basically right now we have a 65 inch lg g3 oled and it has burn in. Turns out, lg's customer service support team told me in the end they couldn't use my warrantied I registered with them because they could not get anyone to want to fix it and they only offered me 15% off a new one which I declined because of how expensive they are. I recently saw this one at a nearby besbuy's of mine, open box fair, for a super good deal in my opinion. 1626 for an 83?? I have no information on it's condition or power on hours but I feel like coming from a 65 inch to an 83 would be an incredible difference for our living room. What's everyones opinion? I need help haha! and yes, I will be getting the geek squad warranty if I do this.

NEED HELP ASAP UPBEAT POP SONG

This is stuck is my head over and over! Watch video! Is it an actual song or just a store demo and not a full song? Thank You!

u/XboxPlayer1998 — 3 months ago

Ok, so basically I’m like 90 percent of the way there.

So this is a bit personal, but basically in my parents bedroom there is a photo of my dad as a baby with his late mom and dad and I always walk by it and it’s so bland. Nothing stands out. It’s just flat.

I wanted to change that. So I turned to ChatGPT for help.

It spit out obviously much more saturated image which I really like but if you really zoom in on what it created it almost looks like the skins of all three people are fish scales?? It’s super weird. I can’t pay, especially, since I believe this to be an easy fix (just get rid of the damn scales) like I don’t want any details change just the irregularities fixed.

ANOTHER ISSUE - Their hair looks weird almost like from a distance it looks like they have lice in their hair - fix this

I’m willing to pay for a job well done, probably the $5-$10 mark depending on how good it is and how quickly you can get it done.

I have also attached the originals from our wall for reference.

I need your resubmitted copy to be in the highest quality possible as I plan to take this thing to get printed and then I’ll frame it and surprise him with it!

Thanks guys for helping my dad honor his mother and father 🥹
