Will a Grubhub Chargeback Affect My Amazon Account?

I’m thinking about filing a chargeback with my Apple Card against Grubhub and wanted to hear from people who’ve actually been through it.

I ordered two drinks, but only one of them was mine. The other drink belonged to a completely different customer. I contacted support, explained everything, but they still denied my refund and wouldn’t even provide the link to file an appeal. I had to find it myself online.

The frustrating part is that this isn’t even the first time. I’ve had so many orders with missing or incorrect items that I honestly don’t trust Grubhub anymore. If I want the drink I originally paid for, I’d have to order it again and spend even more money.

At this point, I really don’t care if they ban my Grubhub account because I don’t plan on using them anymore. My only concern is whether a Grubhub ban could somehow affect my Amazon account or my Amazon Prime benefits since they have a partnership.

Has anyone filed a chargeback against Grubhub? Did they ban your account? And did it have any impact on your Amazon account, or are they completely separate?
I’d love to hear your experience.

Update: I got my refund, but I still ended up paying $15 for a $6 drink. They also sent me this:
WARNING: If continued violations of our Terms and Conditions are detected, your account will be re-blocked permanently. It will not be eligible for any additional appeals.
Like, wtf? They’re the ones breaking the Terms and Conditions. I just deleted my account.

Has anyone tried both versions of Hydroquinone 4%? Which one do you prefer?

I’ve used two different versions of the same Hydroquinone Cream USP 4% from Amazon Pharmacy, and I’m curious if anyone else has noticed a difference.

The Westminster Pharmaceuticals version (red-bottom tube) has a much thicker, creamier consistency. It doesn’t spread very easily, so I have to rub it in more to make sure it covers the entire area. Because it’s so thick, it’s also harder for me to tell where I’ve already applied it.

The Acella Pharmaceuticals version (blue-bottom tube), on the other hand, is noticeably more fluid. It spreads much more easily, glides over the skin, and I feel like I get more even coverage without having to rub as much. Personally, I like this version a lot better because it’s easier to apply.

As far as effectiveness goes, I don’t know if there’s any difference, but the texture alone makes me prefer the Acella version.

Has anyone else received both versions? Which one do you prefer, and have you noticed any difference besides the consistency?

How can I get the 45g tube of tretinoin instead of the 20g?

My insurance copay for tretinoin is $10 no matter if it’s a 20g or 45g tube. Since I use it on both my face and my back, I go through it pretty quickly.

My question is: how can I get the 45g tube instead of the 20g? Does CVS usually carry the 45g size, or would they have to order it? Amazon Pharmacy only seems to have the 20g tube.

Any advice from people who have been able to get the larger tube?

Best way to fix scratches on these closet doors

These closet doors have a lot of scratches, and I’d like to make them look better without replacing them. I’m not looking for perfection, just a way to make the scratches less noticeable.

What would you recommend? Would a wood touch-up marker be enough, or should I use something else? Any product recommendations or DIY tips would be appreciated.

Anyone Else Hate Multiple Items in Inbound Stow?

I work in Inbound Stow most of the time, and one thing I really hate is dealing with multiple items.

Sometimes I get several identical boxes together, and they’re all marked as multiples. After seeing a few of them, I assume the rest are also multiples, so I grab several items and stow them. But every now and then, one of those identical boxes is actually marked as a single. By the time I realize it, I’ve already stowed multiple items, and there’s really no way to fix it because my hands are already out of the bin.

I know the obvious answer is “read the screen before every stow,” and you’re right. It just sucks because your brain starts assuming they’re all the same when they’re identical boxes.

Last week, I had a group of identical boxes that were all marked as multiple quantities, except for one box, which contained five individual single items. I accidentally stowed all five items from that box as a multiple quantity when it was actually supposed to be one item per scan. So I probably created a shortage because I virtually stowed one item but physically stowed five.

For those of you in Stow, what do you do if you realize you stowed multiple items when it was supposed to be a single? And for anyone in Quality, what actually happens in that situation? Is there anything you can do after the fact, or is it basically impossible to correct once you’ve completed the stow?

Besides the obvious advice to “read the screen every time,” I’m curious if anyone has any tips to avoid this or how it’s handled on the back end.

Do some Amnesty associates ever create errors for pictures, or did I just witness something unusual?

A few months ago, I was stowing when I got one of those yellow messages saying I couldn’t stow and had to wait. I looked down at the floor and saw an Amnesty associate taking pictures, which caught my attention. Since I was just standing there waiting and honestly a little bored, I kept watching.

I saw him take some books that had been stowed correctly, standing upright, and lay them down horizontally. He then took a picture and kept walking. At the time, I didn’t really care, but it stayed in the back of my mind because I wondered if some Amnesty associates might do this to get pictures more quickly.

Today, someone from Quality came up to me and told me I had 20 Amnesty errors. I didn’t ask for more details and just said, “Okay,” because I didn’t see much point in arguing. I’m usually one of the top performers in quality, and I try to follow FOO, so hearing that surprised me.

I can’t help but think back to the person I saw manipulating that pod.

This post is not about being a snitch or going to management to complain. I’m mainly interested in hearing from people who work in Amnesty: is this something that ever happens, or was what I saw unusual? Have any other stowers noticed something similar?

How loyal do you think Syrax really was?

Hypothetically, if Syrax had discovered that someone had killed Rhaenyra, do you think she would have attacked the person responsible?

One reason I ask is because of Drogon’s reaction at the end of Game of Thrones. >!He finds Jon with Daenerys after her death and chooses not to kill him. Instead, he destroys the Iron Throne and leaves with her body.!<

Personally, I’ve always had a hard time believing that a dragon so closely bonded to its rider would simply spare the person responsible. Dragons are often portrayed as fiercely loyal, protective, and sometimes even vengeful.

To me, it feels strange that >!Drogon seemed to care more about the Iron Throne than the person who killed Daenerys.!<

Because of that, I’m curious about Syrax. If she had found someone who had killed Rhaenyra, would she have reacted differently? Would she have attacked immediately, or do you think she could have shown the same restraint that Drogon did?

I’m interested in hearing how people view dragon loyalty in the world of Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon.

Haven’t seen a dentist in 7–10 years. Multiple dental problems and feeling overwhelmed. What mistakes should I avoid?

I haven’t seen a dentist in about 7–10 years because of cost, anxiety, and honestly just putting it off.

At this point I know I need to go. I currently have:

  1. One upper tooth on the right side that is badly decayed. I think it may actually be my upper wisdom tooth, or at least it’s the very last tooth on the top.
  2. Two impacted lower wisdom teeth.
  3. Probably several cavities.
  4. On-and-off pain for about a month, which is what finally pushed me to do something.

I’m feeling overwhelmed because I assume I’ll need both a general dentist and an oral surgeon for the wisdom teeth.

For people who have gone through something similar, what advice would you give? I’m especially interested in things you wish you had known beforehand.

Some questions:
How do I find a good dentist instead of just picking someone from my insurance list?

Should I look for a dentist who regularly works with an oral surgeon?

Are there insurance or billing surprises I should watch out for?

Should I always ask for a written treatment plan and cost estimate before agreeing to anything?

Is it worth getting a second opinion if they recommend a lot of work?

For impacted wisdom teeth, is IV sedation worth it if you have dental anxiety?

Are there important questions I should ask before agreeing to extractions or other treatment?

Did anyone regret waiting, or regret rushing into treatment?

I’m also worried about being told I need several expensive procedures at once and not knowing what is truly urgent versus what can safely wait a little while.

Any advice, mistakes to avoid, insurance tips, or things you wish someone had told you before your first dental visit after many years would be greatly appreciated.

Will Season 3 end with the event everyone is waiting for?

I’ve been wondering how far Season 3 is actually going to get. Do you think we’ll see >!Daemon and Aemond’s battle above the Gods Eye!<, or do you think they’re saving it for Season 4?

Part of me feels like it would make an incredible Season 3 finale, but another part thinks it’s such a huge moment that HBO might want to keep it for the final season.

What do you guys think? Season 3 or Season 4?

Small raised brown spot on my leg for at least 4 years — any ideas what it could be?

I recently noticed this small brown spot on the back of my left leg and started paying attention to it. It’s slightly raised and feels firm to the touch.

I went back through old photos and videos and found that it was already there in August 2022, and it looks basically the same today. I don’t see any obvious growth, color changes, bleeding, or other symptoms.

I have a dermatology appointment scheduled, but I’m curious if anyone has had something similar. Does it look more like a mole, dermatofibroma, or something else?

Photos attached. I know nobody can diagnose it online, just looking for experiences while I wait for my appointment.

People who take VTO all the time, how do you pay your bills?

Hi everyone,

Where I work, there’s a girl who takes VTO almost every time it’s offered and sometimes even takes months of personal leave. It got me wondering: how does she pay her bills?

If I miss even one day of work, I can end up short that month and might have to dip into my savings. So I’m curious how people who take VTO regularly are able to make it work financially.

Someone once told me that some people receive government assistance, which could explain it. Others might have a side hustle, investments, a spouse who contributes to the household income, or simply fewer expenses.

This isn’t a hate post or criticism of anyone, I’m genuinely curious. If you’re someone who takes VTO often, how do you make it work financially?

Edit: If your contribution is just “mind your business,” then please follow your own advice, keep scrolling, and save us both the time. 😂

This is a discussion post, not a personal attack on anyone. Hundreds of people have shared their experiences, and that’s exactly what I was hoping for. If you don’t want to participate in the discussion, that’s okay but we don’t need the negativity.

So go ahead and mind your business. 😂

Gracias

How much did you pay an immigration lawyer in NYC for a parent’s citizenship application?

My mom will qualify for citizenship soon under the older-age exception rules. She’ll be 70 and has been a permanent resident for almost 20 years. She doesn’t speak English and has very limited literacy, so I want to make sure everything is done correctly.

She applied for Medicaid and food stamps in the past by going to offices by herself, and because of the language barrier I want a lawyer to review everything carefully and make sure there are no mistakes in old paperwork or anything that could cause issues later.

I’m mainly looking for someone to help prepare the N-400, review her background/history, prepare her for the interview, and possibly go with her to the interview.

We’re in the NYC/NJ area. For people who hired an immigration lawyer for a parent’s citizenship case, how much did you pay and was it worth it? Also, did the lawyer attend the interview or was that extra? Any recommendations or things to avoid would also help.

Anyone use these gas stove burner covers long term? Worth it or annoying?

Hi,
I have a gas stove and I’m trying to keep it looking clean and avoid those burned grease marks/stains around the burners. I found these reusable burner covers on Amazon (the black heat-resistant sheets you place around the burners).

Do they actually help or do they become more annoying than useful after a while?
I’m mainly worried about:
1.Safety with a gas stove
2.If they melt, smell, or discolor over time
3.Whether food/liquid still gets underneath
4.If they affect the flame at all
5. How often you need to replace or clean them

Also, if you have better suggestions for keeping a gas stove clean with less effort, let me know. I’m open to recommendations.
What has worked best for you guys?

Same day pick up photo how long?

Hi,
I need help with something. I placed an order for a custom folded card that said same-day pickup. The earliest pickup time was yesterday at 6 PM, but now it’s today at 6 PM and I still haven’t received any confirmation that it’s ready. When I check the status, it only says “processing.” Should I keep waiting? What can I do? I really need it.

Update: the machine is as down

Hi.

I’m planning on taking one day off, and I was wondering what I should use. I’m planning to use my vacation time since I prefer having enough PTO in case of an emergency, and vacation time needs approval.

What do you guys think? Also, do you know if there is a cap on how much PTO I can have?

PS: this post is just for fun, don’t take it too personally lol
