Shirley there's only one Data Protection Act, and it's not open for each county to interpret their own way, so how come my local police won't tell me anything?

One of the main characters drives a 2023 coupe vRS in the first series.

In series two (being broadcast now, both series on iPlayer) he's changed to a 2025 facelift coupe (not a vRS, I think).

The cars get some good screen time in both series, so I guess Škoda have paid well 🙂

I said I didn't know what "remuneration" meant.

When he'd explained, I said I'd done sums (for buses and trains) and wouldn't be able to work for less than £2000.

He smiled and said they weren't going to offer less than that.

It was my best job ever.

In other words, is it a just software change or hardware too?

I use RunGap to keep activities synced between Apple Health, Strava, Garmin Connect.

I don't need RunGap to keep another copy once that's done.

Currently RunGap's using 1.3GB on my phone 😕

Can't see anything in the app or website explaining how to do it. Is it supported?

I was investigating why my door-side vent wasn't blowing cold air on to my hand, and found that past "fully towards hand" is "closed"!

I've had the Škoda nearly a year, and only now realised how to turn the vent off 🙄

I usually manage do my one hour loop without touching the floor, just needs timing and observation (and good balance!) at lights and junctions.

I've done a couple of hours a few times.

Best was a 70km then a 90km, but that was on a closed circuit event so I don't really count it.

To me, the older they are, the more of a crime it is to change them.

If it's a typo in yesterday's, or something I forgot to say last week, I'll change them.

It starts to feel worse when they're more than 10 years old, when it feels like a "previous me", so I'm more likely to add notes to the day than change "their" writing.

The ones from 20-30 years ago I definitely won't change, and the 40+ (which I typed in verbatim with spelung mistakes and all) are sacred.

In "Enemy Coast Ahead" (Guy Gibson VC DSO DFC, 1946), he's flying a Beaufighter at night and the Digby control says:

"Hullo, Bad Hat 17. you turned rather late. He is now about four miles ahead and slightly to port. Vector 425 for two minutes then back on to 280 degrees. Buster."

I assumed the number after "vector" should 000-359. Going by "ahead and slightly to port" perhaps it should be 025 to put him in a position to turn 280.

Is it just a typo?

My car came with a type 2 charging cable, but no granny charger.

Occasionally it'd be handy to have a granny charger, but since I've already got the type 2 cable it seems a waste to get another one tethered to the granny.

Are there any chargers that end in a socket that I can plug my cable into? Couldn't see any on web or eBay searches, but maybe my query wasn't ideal.
