Awesome temps after repasting (from 70Β°C-ish down to 60Β°C-ish)

Just repasted my Legion 5 laptop again after 10 months and the temps are as good as ever!

My laptop is officially 4 years old now, hope bro lasts until GTA 6 comes to PC. πŸ˜…

Is it fine to leave it like this and just repaste?

Tried to clean it as much as I can, but I just can't remove the excess ones caught by the tiny pins(?). It's not PTM 7950.

How do I (31M) handle the resentment of doing chores for my wife’s (31F) lazy siblings when I can't even afford to help my own family back home?

Hey everyone,

Lately, I have been feeling a lot of confusion and deep resentment, and I need to know if I am overreacting.

My wife's family often needs help, and I find myself doing chores and favors for them all the time. What makes it worse is that her siblings are completely capable but just lazy, so I feel like I'm being taken advantage of.

The real source of my frustration, however, is the contrast with my own family. Right now, money is tight. I am not even able to send a small allowance to my own brother back home, or even grocery money for my own father. It eats me alive that I am pouring my time and energy into able-bodied in-laws who don't seem to appreciate it, while feeling totally helpless to support my own flesh and blood.

To make things harder, there is a painful double standard happening with our finances. Whenever I ask my wife if we can send just a little bit of money to my family for groceries or allowances, she always has a lot to say, criticizes the idea, or pushes back. Yet, she doesn't even bat an eye spending our already tight money on expensive food whenever her family visits us.

I feel stuck, angry, and confused about how to handle these emotions without causing a massive fight with my wife. I love her so much, but I feel like I'm abandoning my own family for hers.

**TL;DR**

I’m feeling deep resentment because I’m forced to do chores for my wife's lazy siblings, and she happily spends our tight money on expensive food for them. Meanwhile, she fights me when I want to send basic grocery money to my own struggling dad and siblings back home. How do I address this double standard without ruining my marriage?

My kind of jam!

*I thought I had everybody on my side

But I went and blew it all sky high

And now she won't even spare a passing glance

All just because I ripped my pants*

*When big Larry came 'round just to put him down

Spongebob turned into a clown

And no girl ever wants to dance

With a fool who went and ripped his pants"

*I know I shouldn't mope around, I shouldn't curse

But the pain feels so much worse

'Cause windin' up with no one is a lot less fun

Than a burn from the sun or sand in your buns!*

*Now I learned a lesson I won't soon forget

So listen, and you won't regret

Be true to yourself, don't miss your chance

And you won't end up like the fool

Who ripped his pants.*

Solar sails for Corvettes?

Got this shot by accident when I was trying to capture the explosion of a dreadnought. I realized how cool it would be to have glowing solar sails included in the Corvette building parts? Would it be possible at all HG? Pretty please? πŸ˜†

I never knew I needed one! 😭 My first Boat Corvette.

Took a lot of inspiration from this build by Matt R and added my own tweaks. Also added a bunch of ideas from various other corvette builds I could find on youtube, so if it looks similar - I pirated it. 😁

My 3-Part Ocean Base "Wave Sanctuary" is Finally Finished!

This took a while to build and I even encountered some issues along the way, but it's finally done! Probably my biggest project in a sandbox game ever. 😁

This base is built on a ridiculously deep Oceanic planet in a Purple Star system (Euclid). I also built the top level fairly high, and yet, waves still manage to reach that area occasionally. This planet is so pretty and so terrifying at the same time. πŸ˜…

Now, I need neighbors who share my love for the sea in this planet now! Rent free!

I also challenge all of you to take on the Rabbit Hole of Death! Think you can handle it? 😁

P.S. Sorry for the rather long and semi-laggy tour. πŸ˜…

Great news guys! I managed to stabilize my above-water base. πŸ˜„ No glitches and disappearing decors/base parts in all my testings. Can't wait to share the final base when it's done! Thank you to all who helped in my previous post!

Context:Β My failed water-planet base

I want to personally thankΒ KlDJ0K3R,Β Colonel_Klank, and other Travellers for pointing out the reason for the glitch and giving advice on how to fix/avoid it. As of now, the base has finally stabilized in all my testing and there were no bugs and disappearing objects anymore. I had to destroy my old base unfortunately, but at least I can look forward to finishing it now.

The Solution I did:

I surveyed the depths for the "highest" peak I can find. Finally found a spot that reduces the seafloor distance down to 860u (from 1200u). Built a base computer there and then proceeded to build upwards all the way to the surface. Happy to say that this trick, while tedious, kept the glitch from happening. 😁😁😁 Will share the glyphs with you all once the base is finished!

Well friends, I tried. Thank you to all those who helped and gave suggestions in my previous post! Bonus power door tutorial at the end.

Context: I built an above-water base in an extremely deep ocean planet (1200u between the seafloor and the surface). But some base parts and decors kept disappearing every time I teleport back in.

You can view the previous post here: Glitching Base

As you can see in the video, I tried to fix the issue using the suggestions given by fellow travellers in the previous post. I listed down all the things I tried below:

1. Build the base higher than the waves could reach

2. Use Prefabs and Underwater Base Parts.

3. Use holo-doors on the Prefabs. - I experimented on both the regular holo-door and the water-tight one.

The Experiment: It included me placing 3 lamps and a battery at each interior and then teleporting out and in to the base again to see which parts remain.

The Result: Sadly, all the parts disappeared, including the doors regardless of the height and material. Oddly enough, even with the wires and batteries gone, the teleporter still seems to be drawing power from something. πŸ˜…

I just wanted to post this one so we could learn from my experience and to thank those who shared their suggestions!

This is the glitch/limitation that we should be aware of when building a base on a deep-ocean planet (many thanks to KlDJ0K3R and Colonel_Klank for pointing them out):

THE GLITCH

I'm gonna try looking for a shallower alternative planet to this one and retry it from there. Thanks everyone!

P.S. I just added the power door tutorial coz a lot of people were asking how to do it. I hope it is understandble through the video. πŸ˜… Also, sorry for the loading times in the video. Was too lazy to edit them out.

TL;DR: Tried building an above-water base on an ultra-deep ocean planet (1200u deep), but ran into a major rendering glitch where interior decors, base parts, and doors completely disappear every time I teleport back in. It turns out deep-ocean planets have a known rendering limitation that breaks bases built directly above the deep water. Moving on to find a shallower ocean planet to rebuild! (Bonus: Included a power door tutorial at the end of the video for those who asked!)

I'm brokenhearted 😭 I wanted to make this base work.

Update!: Managed to fix it!

I tried to build an above water base in this extremely deep water planet (1200u to the seafloor). Unfortunately, most of the base parts I put in disappeared after I loaded my save again. Ahhhhhh... It's too bad. I guess the waves literally washed all my stuff away. Can't win against the game limits I guess.

Btw, thank you to the travellers who helped me in my previous post on how to build a base above water.
