The sol swords are a codex compliant chapter of unknown origin, lead by arthom yosef they mainly specialise in offense, theyre pride on training their brothers to fight with the fewest allies and resources as possible, this leads to them having a rather slow time before a brother is deemed ready, but their battle prowess after training makes up for it, their fortress monastery is primarily on moriar, a barren, desolate death world known for being one large desert, they have a geneseed defect that gives them almost a possessed like focus, at the cost of no self preservation, which was both their best skill and worst weakness in the fourth tyrannic war which was shown in their pyrrhic victory where they pushed the tyranids out at the cost of heavy losses, which wiped out all companies (including the scout company) and leaving them with four left, they have yet to recover even with primaris reinforcements

For context this fine gentleman is from the red slayers, from the 21st cursed founding they are officially titled one of the worst chapters, worst in the sense that they are unpredictable, insane, terrible at their jobs, and are a threat to both their own allies and the alien/heretic with one of their own captain being fanatical to the codex yet disregarding it in every way, they are one of the few chapters were the deathwatch outright refuses to take then, with most members resorting to taking any armor pieces related to the deathwatch from dead brothers and making it their own in a show of stolen valour, they make up for this with their geneseed defects which gives them a surprisingly good luck and a great battle prowess which could be realised if the chapter wasnt dysfunctional

one of their notable battles were with a civil war with an unnamed chapter, where they strapped terminator with a ton of melta bombs and teleporting him in the middle of a company sent to fight the chapter, though when the nelta went off it activated a series's of hidden landmines below the battle field, causing a chain reaction and blowing the entire company up and their terminator, with the only reason they arent considered traitors is by merit of being more of an inconvenience to the enemy and also being more willing to take tasks no astartes wants to do
